Hmm my link won't work, that's annoying!

Cookiesandcoffee · 08/11/2012 17:07

spotty I love the smell of washing, I love filling my house with freshly washed stuff everywhere :)

stacey when I saw the doc on DAU the other day I told him about my mucus, back pains/period pains and about loose bowels he didn't seem fussed at all (think I was 34+5 then?!) he said to phone up if I was getting contractions or waters but only been BHs. Knowing my luck I've still got yonks left!

Have you done your birth plan yet mydaydream ? Are you planning on having the injection? Some people like to put off cutting the cord until it has stopped pulsing it means baby is still getting benefits. I wasn't bothered I think mine was cut right away and I had the injection just after. (You're too obsessed with your new bundle /exhausted in my opinion to know much else!)

WillYouDoTheFandango · 08/11/2012 17:17

Eggs you have to put then your link no spaces!

Congrats honey glad everything's going well.

Insomnia is killing me off at the minute, mainly lurking no energy to post!

MyDaydream · 08/11/2012 17:19

Spotty thanks, I've been reading up on delayed clamping and am going down that route.
Cookies I'm making birth plan notes now, my next antenatal appointment is at the birth centre but want to have as much down before I go so it can be discussed, rather than writing it from scratch. I think I want the injection as you say just to get it over with.
I'm trying to get DP involved with labour but he just won't talk about it, he's coming to my next appointment but whenever I mention things to get him involved (cutting cord, early skin to skin) he just says he doesn't see the point because he's already got a bond with the baby because he made him. I'm trying not to force it, and know he might come round when baby is here but I don't want him to feel like a spare wheel with no involvement other than water/lip balm provider.

EggsMichelle · 08/11/2012 17:25

perineal massage

Thanks Fandango
I want to donate the placenta to research, but don't think nottingham do it :( I know Leicester do.

ellliebelle · 08/11/2012 17:30

Well ive been to diabetic clinic today 3 hours in a hospital with an under the weather 3 year old is not fun :( since getting home i think i may have d&v bug :( no vommiting yet but bad stomach pains and feeling quite sicknif i drink/eat :(

Diabetic doctor was great happy with my levels happy with my diet and wants to see me in 3 weeks. Obs consultant was horrible :( out lined an 'action plan' which looks like a standard one they give to gd patients. Didnt explain why anything on the plan was there and didnt want to discuss my birth options other than what was on the 'plan' so now i feel stressed out and unwell :( dh wont be home till gone 8 anf the poor dd's are stuck infront of the tv :(

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 08/11/2012 17:33

spotty no idea as today is a breakfast/dinner testing day Hmm and wasn't sick till lunchtime. I'm in bed feeling frankly awful. Kids are creating havoc downstairs but I really don't care right now tbh! I want another bath but our majorly shit boiler that the LL keeps 'fixing' but it still bangs like its going to blow up and turns itself off randomly boiler turned off earlier so no hot water for at least an hour! Urgh!

datingthedevil · 08/11/2012 17:55

From the sounds of it perineal massage is something the dp / dh would like to do?!

I think I've got myself into a bad sleep pattern now. Going to sleep between 2 and 3am, waking around 9 but getting up at 12ish, then get up, have a shower, take a nap as too tired to do anything then get up again for dinner at 7ish. I figure a bad sleeping pattern doesn't matter as baby will just shake it all up when he comes.

StrawberrytallCAKE · 08/11/2012 18:54

argh my back is killing me now, what with the stinging cervix, shooting pains when I'm walking and back pain I really hope labour isn't too far away...I could do with it pretty soon actually! Ellie and Stacey hope you're ok, don't worry about dd's in front of tv, needs must and you have to look after yourself!

ellliebelle · 08/11/2012 19:05

self indulgent moan alert :( im laidbon the sofa feeling sorry for myself i have read to the dd's and now they have taken themselves off to bed they are only 3 and 5 i feel so guilty for not going to tuck them in but feel so sick i cant get up :(

emilyeggs · 08/11/2012 19:12

Sound like lots of us are having shit days Sad hope tomorrow is better for all of us.

I have to call ante natal clinic in four days for the results. I've since found out from my sister that mum had all of us over 8lb, my sister's were 8lb to 9lb 7 so maybe it's not GD, just big baby. Good job I only bought 10 basic sleep suits in newborn size!

Cookiesandcoffee · 08/11/2012 19:28

strawberry it does sound like things are on their way, keep us updated Smile exciting.
Yesterday I was the closest I've been to thinking things are on the move but today bugger all by way of signs.
ellie do not worry! The tv has been my best friend since being prg - do feel like a useless mum sometimes but we have to do what we can to survive! There has been many times I've just zonked on the sofa-I would be right now but It's too uncomfortable these days

FriendofDorothy · 08/11/2012 20:12

I am bloody knackered today and have had a really sore throat. I told my boss that I don't want to come to work tomorrow. I will either take the day off as time owing or sick leave depending on how I feel.

I have just been to help my Mum put my niece and nephew to bed. They both had the most amazing meltdowns!

Secondsop · 08/11/2012 20:49

I've had a tough day work-wise, and am getting those menstrual-type cramps that the NCT teacher said you can get from around 35 weeks. Ugh. One more week of work...

brooke89 · 08/11/2012 21:17

Hope everyone has a better day tomorrow!

Big bar of galaxy for me and inbetweeners movie to cheer me up!

Stacks · 08/11/2012 21:48

I came home from work today with the plan of working a couple of hours from home (making up time from taking cat to vet yesterday) I have managed to stare at computer screen, and eat clementines. Not a very productive evening, but should I still count it as work? After all, it's about as much as I manage to do in work these days Grin

I think it might be bed time. It's cold, DH is out, and I'm tired. If only tomorrow was Sat.

JoJoB77 · 08/11/2012 22:57

Sorry to hear of all the bugs going round, hoe everyone is feeling a bit better tomoro.

Im not long back from a work night out for me leaving. I made the choice of chinese buffet and boy am i regretting it now! I am so full i can hardly move Blush

Just about to roll into bed, ill probably still be rolling in bed for the next couple hours trying to digest what ive eaten. Bleurgh

Walnut8 · 09/11/2012 04:45

DH home at 9pm last night, into bed at 2am (after working all evening at his desk) and then up at 6am for work. So he's in a great mood and has turned his phone off and won't respond to my email about when to expect him home tonight. We had a talk a few days ago about him being around more for my sake (!) and for DDs sake, and about stopping all the extra sub-contracting work he does b4 the next baby is born. He hasn't said a word to the contractor though. GRR.

Fed up today. Also, was expected to get a wedding present today at the last minute for his friend's wedding tomorrow. So dragged DD around expensive homewares' stores after her dance class. Then had a fight with a pharmacist about whether I can use thrush medication. Joy.

SpottyTeacakes · 09/11/2012 04:57

That's rubbish Walnut did you manage to get some in the end? Is your dh a bit of a workaholic?

I'm awake but can't sleep because I'm starving. I know dd will be up in an hour though Sad

2blessed · 09/11/2012 05:33

Hope you and your dp work it out walnut
Seems to be my usual time to be up at the moment, will be fine when I'm on mat leave but I've got to do the dreaded commute in a couple of hours Sad

Walnut8 · 09/11/2012 06:10

Sorry you two are both awake Sad. It's afternoon here.

Yes I got some in the end spotty, but have had three lots of advice about how to use it. I'm pretty sure I used it with DD with no issues, now they are telling me not to use an applicator in case I (a) hit baby's head or (b) penetrate cervix. My response was WTF? Sorry if TMI.

DH is a workaholic for sure. He has this crazy thing about promotion and getting ahead and is very self-motivated which is great in the finance industry and it's not that I'm not grateful (at least he has a job in the current climate!!) I just wish sometimes that we (DD and I) would come first. I'm just being hormonal and selfish I know, this level of work can't continue, I'm just over being basically a single mum ATM. Complete respect to all you single parents out there.

SpottyTeacakes · 09/11/2012 06:50

I'm pretty sure that over here they even say the pessaries are fine so I can't see the internal cream being any different! Hmm at getting the baby's head!!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 09/11/2012 07:11

I think predators are ok but for whatever reason they say not to use the applicator.

Well I had a shit night. I can't keep anything down and had awful diahrea all night. I'm now stupidly dehydrated too Angry

I hope others are feeling better.

SpottyTeacakes · 09/11/2012 07:18

Grin at predators Stacey get some --rank- dioraltye down you, I hope you feel better

utopian99 · 09/11/2012 07:28

Very sorry to hear of those with the horrible lurgi, i had the d&v bug a few weeks back and it's especially grim while pg. LO is having a frisky time again this morning, i was poking my tummy (as you do) last night and forgot he was under it and I think I freaked him out. Felt like a bad parent and he's not even born! Sad

Joiner has finished so yet more painting today. Had my mother visiting this week which has been lovely but back to the grindstone now...
