New thread!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
SpottyTeacakes · 05/11/2012 19:54

It is pronounced an-you-sole is it not? I used to work in a chemist when I was younger and that's how everyone said it!

emilyeggs · 05/11/2012 20:03

I'm sure a 'shove it up your arse' joke is in hear somewhere Grin

StrawberrytallCAKE · 05/11/2012 20:06

I didn't poo last time!

Anusol is also very useful to get rid of under eye bags in about 30 seconds... It's what make up artists use on models if they have bags!

Cookiesandcream06 · 05/11/2012 20:35

Haha lightened my mood guys. Also no pooing last time.. And never had piles?! Wouldn't even know what to look for.
Glad all is ok brooke always safe than sorry!
Lower back ache was bad so had a nice warm bath it seems to have helped a bit thank goodness

Secondsop · 05/11/2012 20:43

I am very lucky to have avoided piles, so I don't need to know the correct pronunciation of anusole just yet. I don't understand why it's called something with the word "anus" in it if it's not pronounced that way, unless it's meant to be like an eye-rhyme.

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 05/11/2012 20:44

Thanks willyou I had a huge meal at 7.30 but will try and stuff a snack in at 10 or I may not make it back up the hill from the school run tomo!

BH are getting worse and more regular now. Any sort of exercise starts them off which is great as it then makes moving painful!

DH def not swayed at the idea of a home birth so I'll def be going to the birth centre. Hopefully they won't be quite as useless while I'm in labour!

I'm I'm a nice hot bath, it's the only time I feel comfortable, if I v

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 05/11/2012 20:44

Hmm if I could live in a nice hot bath I would!

EggsMichelle · 05/11/2012 20:54

My DH is very sharp tongued and quick witted, and when ever I have had enough of his crap, I tell him to "shove it up his arse". This is very effective as he then gets distracted and starts ranting about my inability to argue properly and I can walk away!!!

Last time I looked I was on maternity leave, today I have completed a child protection assessment, PGD assessment (giving out paracetamol, e45 etc) and filled in DH's job application. That is not what I call being off work!

Secondsop · 05/11/2012 20:56

eggsmichelle I have to do my tax return as soon as I start my mat leave :(

WillYouDoTheFandango · 05/11/2012 21:05

cookie if you get them you'll know! They are blood vessels hangong out of you bum succinctly described as "bum grapes" and are itchy and agonising! All you -n-ever wanted to know about piles!

MyDaydream · 05/11/2012 21:11

Spotty you've just put a whole new spin on our argument! Which were now having because he's reading over my shoulder!
Cookies the advice I've had (from an over-sharing DP) is that if you've got piles you know about it.

brooke89 · 05/11/2012 21:11

Whatever you do don't google image them.....

JoJoB77 · 05/11/2012 21:15

I did poo last time Blush. I dont remember any of it though, dh informed me (yeah thanks Hmm).

I'm still squirming at the diy sweeps discussion up thread... I cant imagine being able to reach up there as it is now but i think i would prefer to do it myself uf i can, although wouldnt really have a clue what i'd be doing!

Glad to hear all is well with Dash honey Smile

Hope your hair appointment went well strawberry Smile

Welcome jade Grin

Well its my last day at work tomorrow for good and im very sad Sad ive worked with the same group of people for over 10 years now & made some lifelong friends. I'm ready to finish now tho, its becoming harder to sit bent forward at my desk and i must have yawned about 50 times this afternoon.

Had a few braxton hicks today too but not painful.

Hope everyone is well Smile

Bellaboo123 · 05/11/2012 21:16

Help please...really dry and itching fango. Any suggestions/ideas what it cld be? Started a couple of hours ago and getting worse...want to rip it out lol!!! Blush

Cookiesandcream06 · 05/11/2012 21:21

Thrush? bella I got it a lot towards the end of my last pregnancy but suffered in silence.. Don't!!

Bellaboo123 · 05/11/2012 21:22

Is that what it is I don't think I've ever had it...what can I do to stop it?

giraffe213 · 05/11/2012 21:31

Interesting conversations this evening... mmmm dates, I love them anyway so it's a good excuse to eat more. Date flapjacks? I think dates might actually help with not pooing during active labour, rather than making it worse, if they make everything a bit looser so bowels can be emptied during the earlier stages of labour IYSWIM?

MaMaPo, your description of baby jumping around sounds familiar! I nearly asked in my antenatal class if it's possible to have too much movement, when she said baby should move at least 10 times in 24 hours and mine had moved at least 10 times since the class began. I'm thinking it just means baby will be a wrigglebottom like his/her daddy, but it's starting to get a bit painful and I've still got another month to go!

EggsMichelle · 05/11/2012 21:35

Brooke I just had to look, some of those are full blown prolapses, another delightful side effect of a VD.

Just had a lot of Ben and Jerry's ice cream and schlur and now Shrimpy is going whappy, too much sugar for my boy!

WillYouDoTheFandango · 05/11/2012 21:37

Natural yoghurt on your fango Bella the best thing is Canestan but you need to get it on prescription while pregnant. Or you could send your DP to tell lies to the pharmacist if he's willing? They won't usually sell it to you while pregnant

PurplePidjin · 05/11/2012 21:38

Natural yoghurt on the affected area, and don't use any toiletries in the bath/shower - wash your hair separately if you can (or use baby shampoo, it's milder) put a sanitary pad in place first, it things can get messy Blush

Get some canestan or vagisil asap, depending on how hard you have to argue with the pharmacist to get it!

Eating natural yoghurt is supposed to be helpful too, to rebalance the bacteria

PurplePidjin · 05/11/2012 21:40

Giraffe, i laughed at the midwife when she said 10 in 24h - i get that many before breakfast!

Bellaboo123 · 05/11/2012 21:46

Thanks for the tips sending DP off to all night tesco!

X

ISpyPlumPie · 05/11/2012 21:49

I'm another one who didn't get piles last time so it isn't inevitable - hope I get away with it again. Also afaik I didn't poo during labour (accept mw may have just dealt with it discretly though) however I did spend what seemed like ages telling everyone in the room that I needed to poo when in fact I need to push a baby out.

Agree that Anusol is a pretty grim name for a product. Vagisil's not much better - suppose they're trying to go for it does what it says on the box, but they didn't think about the poor sods asking for them in the chemist.

Secondsop · 05/11/2012 22:14

There's also a tablet called Vagifem :(

emilyeggs · 05/11/2012 22:42

Yoghurt on the fanjo....all this healthy food going on/in fanjo some thing good is definitely coming out Grin
