Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
mygirllolipop · 27/04/2006 10:12

Jen - I saw my Dr (for the second time) on the Wed, the next Wed evening the MW rang to say I had a scan appt on such a date and would I come to see her after that. I hadn't even got the letter and was worried it had gone missing but sure enough a few days later it arrived.
It's so wierd how NHS trusts differ in their care of pg women. Got my scan next Fri and will investigate the private scan to tell the sex of the baby. DH desperate to know and I'm not good with curiousity (sp?). Plus there's the practical implications. If we need boys clothes and wallpaper (let alone another room) after having 3 girls. Must admit it would be practical if it was a girl! That's horrible I know, we get no choice over sex and I'm happy with that.
Had another of my headaches last night. hope this isn't the start of migranes thru the 2nd trimester.

Hello all,
I haven't been here for a while. I haven't been too well and am ready to take my name of the list. I don't want to go into any detail other than to say I have lost the baby.

I look forward to reading about you all in November. You have my heartfelt best wishes and I hope you all have beautiful winter babies.

xxx

id like to say welcome to flowers!

fab news about your scan hattie.

and NJ please still get your lump checked, its better safe than sorry!!

i had my 12 weeks scan today, they'v dated me as 11 + 3 and due 13th nov, so two days later but cant really be bothered to change it on the list as its only 2 days! saw the heartbeat and that everything is ok so im very relieved, it makes me feel so humbled to read other peoples news on here. my downs risk is 1 : 8175 so it looks good!

my sickness has sorta gone, so look ahead girlies, it does get better! hope everyone is ok!

LadyAnne1stTimeMum · 27/04/2006 19:52

Thinking of you meg. :(

As for myself I'm tired and completely exhausted - finding it hard to eat anything but jacket potato, beans and cheese. Saw MW - due date confirmed as 27th November (knew it was November baby)- tried to hear heart beat no luck - we will try again in two weeks - otherwise - no probs - just wish I didn't have to do the 9 to 5, but haven't told work yet - so will have to put up with it - any other news?

staceym11 · 27/04/2006 20:02

lady anne, my midwife tried to hear heartbeat yest and couldnt and im just over 11 weeks, she said some cant be heard until 14 weeks, i did see it on scan today beating away tho so that helps me get rid of the worry!

saralou100 · 27/04/2006 20:38

who's ready for a rant!!! Angry

where do i start... at the beginning.... 3 pm today called into bosses office to do return to work interview after being off sick sun/mon (had sinus infection, very dizzy and couldn't stand longer than 5mins) anyway during this conversation boss expressed concerns about me working my long shift i do every sunday (7.30am-9.30pm) feel i should point out that when telling my boss about pregnancy i said this to her and what i plan to do when/if the time comes, so i really didn't see the relevance of bringing this up today, but she even wrote this concern about my long day on the form, again i didn't see the relevance, but she the boss!

when i came out said to a friend that i'd just had a wierd conversation and what it was about and she replied with "well thats whats going around" (i said this was a rant - far from done) i asked her what she meant, apperently people are saying , is suppose she'll be milking it now she's pregnant she'll be off sick all the time!!!

well my hormones just got the better of me, burst into tears and used the f word a lot... what right do people have to imply this of me, i was off because i was ill, it probably didn't help that i'm pregnant but i would never just take the day off cause i feel like it... i didn't have one day off with 1st pg, i haven't asked for any special treatment and their all just mean and i'm very upset at the moment!!!!

staceym11 · 27/04/2006 21:09

oh sara thats horrible, think best plan of action will probably hold head high and show them, but if you need a day off dont be affraid to take it. they should have no reason to act the way they are and it isnt fair, sick days are there to be taken when and as you need them, thats you're perogative!

wish i could take sick days, when feeling ill i still have to get out of bed and look after dd, its a damn pain but oh well at least i dont have to deal with other peoples ignorance! hope their attitudes get better!

saralou100 · 27/04/2006 21:16

would you like to hear the funniest thing of all... ignorence is not their excuse... i'm a staff nurse..... on a gynaecology ward of all places!!! know what you mean about having to look after a litle one when ill, luckily dp was their to look after ds on the sunday, and the monday he went to nursery for 3 hrs so i had a bit of time off...

staceym11 · 27/04/2006 21:35

nice co-workers then! lol

yeah my dp home on holiday atm for a couple of weeks which is luxury, more just to know dd is being looked after when im ill cant stand leaving her on her own downstairs!

right must get to bed, severely p*ssed off dp as he's giving up smoking before we move into our own place so hes a bit cranky, jesus men are worse than babies!
