Harrogate mum that is fantastic news!!!! :o :o :o

I can't stay because I am just about to run out of the door to my appointment but just wanted to say how pleased I am for you!!

What a relief, now you can start to look forward :o

toadstool · 11/04/2006 13:30

Morning all - home visits from mw sound perfect, hope you can keep them going! Weighed myself in IKEA today. Horror - I've put on a stone in 9 weeks. Decided not to bother with the pastries after that. Tummy kept rumbling after Healthy Tomato with milkless drink mid-morning snack, argh. Just booked OSCAR scan (nuchal plus bloods plus - ha ha - weight) for week 12.

Northerner · 11/04/2006 13:33

Wow Harrogate Mum! That is fantastic news!!!!

Am so pleased for you. Glad to see you back on this thread. Smile Smile

Delia · 11/04/2006 15:15

Hi

Can i join your group?

First message and first bump so a bit unsure, finding the whole thing a bit overwhelming! its nice to see that other people have the same questions, makes me feel a little less stupid.

I am told i'm aprox 10 weeks and have my first apointment with midwife this afternoon. Really nervous! any tips?

MeggLeVache · 11/04/2006 15:17

Harrogatemum- that is just such wonderful news.

Congratulations, I can't imagine how you must feel!

cece · 11/04/2006 15:25

Hi MeAndMyBoy

OK. Feeling low on occasions. Would have been 12 weeks this week Sad so I think that milestone is beginning to hit me iyswim.

How are you?

NatalieJane · 11/04/2006 15:30

Hello everyone :)

Welcome Delia, Congratulations!!! Add yourself to the list that is a little bit further down the thread :) No real advice about your booking in appointment, just that there realy isn't anything to be nervous about, so try and calm down if you can :)

Had my confirmation this afternoon, how nerve racking was waiting for that bloody line to show itself!! I could hear my heart beating!!! Anyway, booking in on the 2nd May, have got loads of leaflets about different tests they offer, and choices we have etc.

Again so very pleased for you Harrigatemum :)

MommyUpNorth · 11/04/2006 15:52

Harrogatemum just wanted to add that I am so pleased to hear about the scan! :) I'm so far behind as the kids have been on Easter break since last Monday so not a lot of time to look at MN. :(

kjq · 11/04/2006 16:43

Harrowgatemum - so pleased you are still on this thread. I can't imagine what you've been going through the last 2 weeks but pleased you and your wee bump are alright Smile

Hi Delia, just wanted to congratulate you on your pg and let you know that this is a great support thread to be on.

Hi everyone else. Had a bit of a slow day today but I suppose thats allowed. My 2 DDs have been a bit mad today so we all went for an afternoon snooze and I think it just gave them even more energy to wind me up.

About to put on the dinner so will catch up soon.
Still no sign of hospital appt.

TTFN x

twocatsonthebed · 11/04/2006 18:06

harrogatemum that's fantastic. So pleased to hear a happy ending for you. So what's your due date now?

Delia, welcome and congratulations.

Everyone else, how is it going? I've hardly been keeping up as I feel like death warmed over; the nausea's quite annoying, but the fatigue is killing me. I'm too tired to read, or even think. Is this just me?

NatalieJane · 11/04/2006 18:19

2Cats it isn't only you, believe me!!

The worst symptom I have at the moment is everytime I stand up I get really dizzy and then a wave of sickness comes, but looking on the positive side, I still haven't actually been sick so that is good! Other than that, I am just growing - belly, boobs, hair (anyone else getting/got a hairy belly?) nails, probably bum as well, after just having lost it all!!

Oh well, onwards and upwards :)

brodiesmummy · 11/04/2006 18:44

Fab news HM,and congrats Delia.Bit of a downer today had small bleed.Phoned midwife who said if things settle try not to worry but let them know if gets worseSad.Had this last time but doesn't stop you worrying. It's weird you worry when things go too smoothly and then panic when the slightest things go wrong .Ahh the joy of having babies!! .Fortunately DS to keep me entertained till scan next tues!! DH husband being great. Hope everyone else is good and the MS is fading

mummyhill · 11/04/2006 19:00

Just crashing from Sept 05 Post Natal to say goodluck everyone and welcome to Delia if you need me come find me on my post natal thread hun.

Jen1209 · 11/04/2006 19:04

Hi all and welcome Delia - I'm going to be a first time Mummy too! How are you feeling?

Sorry to hear about the bleeding Brodiesmummy. Hope things clear up soon.

Counting the days until my scan next week now. I will be 9 + 2 by then. Once that has happened I will finally go to my Dr and officially announce myself to him! I havn't done it so far coz when I went when I was pg in November, he gave me my first Bounty pack and that really upset me when I lost the baby 2 weeks later :( Also, the midwife kept ringing to book me in, even though i had told them about the m/c :( so I want to be a bit further forward this time!

Hmmm, that was meant to be a short post, sorry! After the ms this morning, people at work have spent the day saying how tired and ill I look - oh Good! Cant wait to tell them why!

fatbetty · 11/04/2006 19:07

Congrats HM on your scan. It must have been so exciting. Congrats Delia too and welcome!

Feeling very tired too. I managed to drag myself and kids to Tesco but couldn't really face buying any food. Leave that up to DH. I'm off to the States on Thursday and just dreading the flight! I feel so bad too that I haven't done much with the kids and they have had way too much of Cbeebies. Thankfully we will be at my Mom's for the next two weeks and she can entertain them more. I feel like such a bad Mum! Only 9 weeks (on Friday) and counting down til 12 weeks when hopefully this feeling subsides! Hope you all are well.

staceym11 · 12/04/2006 09:31

morning everyone!!!

congratulations hm, that is brilliant news, im so glad you're still here with us, it must be such a relief!!

welcome delia, i wish id known about this site when i was pg with my first, its a great source of info, even the 2nd time around! lol

well had a bad few days been so tired just sat in and done nothing, monday and yest had another little girl (bossy 4 yr old) to watch as well as 18mth old dd and as wether was crap had to stay in, so today am on a mission to leave the house!!!

still feeling sick but nowhere near as bad i suppose, still isnt great when i have to leave dd downstairs on her own to go be sick tho! poor little mite!!

anyway best be off she'll be up soon! xxx

harrogatemum · 12/04/2006 10:28

Hi all - thanks so much for all your congrats, it is strange when you are all strangers but sort of feel as though you know each other!

I think my due date is aroudn about 24th Nov now so around 10 days later than I had anticipated. Who knows, you dont get a 12 week scan in North Yorkshire so I will go and have one privately and hopefully get more of an idea of dates then!

Funnily enough since I found out that all ok I am feeling really queasy and having to eat all day long to combat the nausea. Yesterday I had toast, a piece of choc cake, crisps and two sandwiches all by 12 noon!

NatalieJane · 12/04/2006 10:32

Morning all :)

I hope you are feeling better today Brodiesmummy? Fingers crossed it is just one of those things.

I am sat here wondering if I am ever going to get the energy together today, to go and get a shower and get dressed! Even DS is still in his PJ's, well his pants to be correct - he took his PJ's off about an hour ago!! Shock Whose good idea was it to get pregnant?????!!

Oh well, another half an hour watching Animal Planet won't hurt!! :o :o :o
