Sorry for the not very imaginative title. Noticed old thread was full and couldn't find a new one.

Hi all, so much to catch up on! I don't think I can possibly respond to everyones news. But I am enjoying all your good news...

I am sometimes convinced I can feel movements although I don't think I can as 13+1 and dc1 don't think it is possible. I can however feel my uterus the whole time, having spent the whole day thinking about I have decided it feels like having a baking potato balanced in my insides. Not sure that helps anyone but seeing I spent all day thinking about it I thought I would share it with you all! Grin

I just wanted to share my trauma at one of my husband friends discovering about my pregnancy. See if you can see the funny side as I think I am slightly in shock, although maybe pregnancy stupidity... So he works out at a wedding reception that I am pregnant. The drinking and bump being the (ahem) giveaways. And say to my dh, but within my hearing, 'I can't believe you can still face having sex after 15 years together'. Is that a terrible first response or what? Shock Blush and it has demotived me from telling people... Sad

Hello littlespade

I too have a little bump - it is very odd.

Blush as you asked - there was romance that is to be sure. And Christ that man is good in bed - I feel so bad saying that. Oh he is lovely and wonderful and funny and is slightly obsessed with the bump (in a lovely way) and part of me feels like I shouldn't be as involved but frankly it is too hard to deny myself. So I thought fuck it (literally) so am throwing caution to the wind (at least a little bit)

kitty I would just put it down to a very inconsiderate person and don't let it stop you telling others.

brought myself some new shoes today - those barefoot ones. Decided that I would give them a go.

LittleBairn · 12/11/2012 22:19

Grin seven omg just took adding the sex to the stats thread totally wrong, I was thinking you wanted us to keeps stats on how often.... Blush

RTchoke · 12/11/2012 22:20

Oh Milk I'm so excited to hear about the "romance". Three cheers for you and non-man. I am sure he is very talented in the bedroom but I have to say that pregnancy has always enhanced things in that department for me. Things that would leave me cold normally are massively more enjoyable when I'm stuffed full off pregnancy hormones. DH will be sad that this is our last ever pregnancy.

Kitty - what a ridiculous comment from that man. Don't let it put you off telling others as you can't no more than one who will react like that!

LittleBairn · 12/11/2012 22:27

milk sounds all good on the non man front!
Let me know how the barefoot shoes feel I've been keen to try them for awhile but keep putting it off.

kitty what a bastard! Bet it's more to do with the fact no one could bare to have sex with him for 15 mins never mind 15 years!

I'm doing ok MS has actually got worse but the general all day dizziness has improved.
Met with another doula today, she was equally nice it's going to be a tough choice, and we are still hoping to meet with a few more.

milkandribena · 12/11/2012 22:34

RT know what you mean - thankfully he was good before bump, granted only one other to compare him too but still

I am really not tired but should be in bed by now have to be up early tomorrow- I am positively boiling can't seem to cool down or get the flat cold enough. So frustrating.

ProcrastinatingPanda · 13/11/2012 08:12

kitty that guy is a wanker. He sounds like dp's 'best mate', when DP told him we were thinking of having a DC he told DP to get rid of me for mentioning kids Hmm, we've been together 4 years, it's not like I just met him last week. DP claims it was one of his jokes and it's just the way he is, I want to poke his eyes out but that could be the hormones.

ProcrastinatingPanda · 13/11/2012 08:14

Milk, are yous... ahem... doing 'the deed'? DP is too scared too incase he hurts me or the baby! Anyone else have the same problem?

babygeek · 13/11/2012 08:30

I think that I might have felt something, felt like little bubbles bursting. It might have been gas though Blush. I'm 13+6. Very cool that other people are starting to feel movement.

panda, I read somewhere that sex in pregnancy is really good for you! Grin. I have found that it helps me feel more normal and in control of my body what with all the crazy pregnancy stuff happening and it's nice to have that intimacy with my DP.

Welcome to little spade and the other ladies who have joined recently.

Picklep · 13/11/2012 09:45

kitty what a dick! It's a wonder you didn't launch your drink at him. Forget him and what he said!

panda i am so with you. Not had sex since BFP, I'm terrified! Since the implantation bleed in week six I'm particularly scared to. Doctor and mw both say its fine and perfectly healthy to. DH has been great, he I think is nervous too. He says we can wait, but for how long?? Its 6 months till birth then I'm pretty certain we won't be attempting it for a few months after! It's not that I'm feeling particularly sexy like I know some pg ladies feel, but i really miss the closeness especially while I'm feeling so vulnerable. I'm just worried that we'll unplug or disturb the mucus plug in the cervix, is that even possible???

Callipygian · 13/11/2012 09:53

Hi Ladies, can i join in? MY EDD for DC1 is the 2nd of May. So i guess I'm almost 16 weeks!

SevenElvesAndAReindeer · 13/11/2012 10:24

Hi callipy.

panda we have a couple of times, but we're both very nervous. When I was pregnant before, I started bleeding straight after sex then went on to mc. I know it was just unfortunate timing and sex didnt cause my mc but I just can't really relax. I'm hoping after the scan I'll be able to relax a bit more.

milk yay for you and non-man, so cute! Is it starting to look like he could be man before the baby comes?!

kitty how bloody rude, what on earth did your DH say?

DD is miserable today, I think it's her teeth. Wish me luck!

ProcrastinatingPanda · 13/11/2012 10:42

seven I completely understand your worry there, just before falling pregnant I had a mc and had done pelvic floor exercises about an hour before the spotting started. The mc is probably completely unrelated to the exercises but I've been too scared to do them this time and haven't done any since falling pregnant again just incase.

wilderumpus · 13/11/2012 11:03

i am way too scared to have sex atm with spotting every 10 days/2 weeks. I would really like to though... though DH would have to come to bed at about 8.30 to get any action as I really need to sleep after 9!

kitty was it that offensive?! I dunno, me and Dh have been together 12 years odd and I like that we still have the sex and make babies and i wouldn't care if anyone else commented on it might feel slightly smug. I think it might depend on the tone?! Think it probably says more about his sex life/relationships anyway.

oh milk! I heart you guys :)

panda your DH's mate definitely sounds like a wanker making that comment. how rude.

wirra ha ha, it is you with the wee boy. Boys rock! Grin

good luck seven Thanks and Brew

14 weeks today. hurrah!

LittleSpade · 13/11/2012 11:24

panda, seven, pickle and wilde I'm with you on being scared to have sex - we have a few times but only very gently - DH has been wonderful and really understanding.

It's weird cos being knackered all the time we're spending more time in the bedroom than ever before but normally with me snoring away whilst DH reads or watchs TV - hardly romantic!

So pleased to hear things are going well with you and non-man milk Smile - keep us updated!

Welcome Callipy - have you felt any movement yet?

seven maybe not going to count my chickens just yet though
hello callipy

yeah panda first time since before we knew I was pregnant. I will admit to being a bit nervous about it but (still) non-man was great about it. It sort of just happened. It was fine though.

10 that is so sweet.

15 wk exactly today.

Zorra · 13/11/2012 13:27

Joining you! 12+1 with DC2, got a private nuchal scan next week, already had a dating scan which the EDD at 26th May :)

Callipygian · 13/11/2012 14:47

Hi Spade, I have felt the odd bubbleing feeling, its not something i felt before pregnancy but i think it might be a bit too high up to be actual baby movements. Its just above my belly button - can feel it now actually :)

berri · 13/11/2012 16:04

Hi Callipygian - EDD is 2nd May too Grin

Hope everyone is having a good day Smile

berri · 13/11/2012 16:05

Welcome Zorra!

rachywhite83 · 13/11/2012 16:35

I'm having a few bubbly feelings. Very unsure though because at the moment I'm constantly full of wind !

Re: sex I'm really struggling with it because I'm feeling so sensitive. My husband is amazing and just putting no pressure on me at all.

Oh well only 26 more weeks !

SecretCervix · 13/11/2012 16:48

Hey guys, sorry have been awol for a bit, all still fine this end it would seem, hope everyone is doing okay.

Ellypoo · 13/11/2012 17:55

Welcome to all the new joiners!

We have only dtd twice - was too scared in 1st trimester, and now am just too scared, but also my sex drive has gone right down, and what with feeling so knackered, I just do not fancy it at all. DH is very understanding though.

Loving the little flutters - cannot wait until I am feeling proper, regular movements!!

15+0
