Sorry for the not very imaginative title. Noticed old thread was full and couldn't find a new one.

Berri-I am so sorry to hear that. When do they expect it to heal? Does it take weeks?! Fingers crossed for a good scan for you soon. I hope you're getting lots of help at home.

RT-I've been thinking of you all week. I can understand your worry but even IF the NHS results were correct, that is still in your favour. 90% chance in your favour. Obviously the other results sound much more accurate-and didn't someone earlier say they had something similar in previous pregnancy and went to the same clinic to get more favourable tests done?

I think I can feel flutters. Not sure. Might be gas! But it was weeks last time before I realised that it was my DD moving. I think I realised about 18-19 weeks last time but in reality it was probably more like 16. Seems strange to think it would be this early.
Also. Properly found the heart beat with Doppler now! It was my ruddy hb I heard before. And there is no way my hb was 130bpm, so I don't think it's too accurate. The babies was soooo much quicker but really quiet on Doppler. I'm assuming it gets louder and easier to find.

12+6 (2nd trimester in 30 mins time! It is 13 weeks that it starts, right?).

welcome boo and tasmanian
little glad your doula interview went well
congrats on the little boy RT Grin - hope you are slowly getting more reassured.

well the weekend was... well..... entertaining Blush shall we say. Still Confused but ohh non-man. Canterbury was nice as well.

christ it is nearly 1 and I have work in the morning

Ellypoo · 12/11/2012 05:46

Glad your weekend was good?!?!? milk!

Am awake here, feeling v stressed cos I'm so tired and got a busy day ahead at work.

Is anyone else getting quite bad ligamenty type pains around your bumps? I don't get the all the time, worse if wearing tightish waistbands/on feet a long time. Am seein consultant Friday so will ask then but it's not fun :( perhaps linked with needing the loo also actually (sorry, tmi!).

How's everyone else doing?

Hi Elly, other one who can't sleep just glad I'm not working tomorrow.

I'm feeling alright, got a fair bit of ligament pain too, in my pelvis just hoping it doesn't get any worse.

Good luck scooby!

milk glad you had a good weekend.

I'm stupidly worrying about not having vivid dreams as I had them with both of my other 2, I'm also still drinking tea which I've normally gone off by now Hmm.

berri when is your next scan?

MooLL · 12/11/2012 09:21

RT I would really focus on the FMC results .. after all he is the genius in this field and the more precise tests are what you are paying for. On age alone I am 1 in 46 change but with the FMC tests I am 1 in 980 .. which the doc there told me was about as good as it gets for someone my age .. and I am totally happy with these numbers. I could have gone on and done the harmony testing but have decided not to do so. Honestly our sonographer there told us so much about each marker and why its important etc I really got comfortable (as with last time) about it all. He said they would only recommend CVS if their adjusted score was 1 in 150 or less. I totally understand why the NHS scoring has you concerned but there was a reason you went to the FMC...

wilderumpus · 12/11/2012 10:59

milk?! glad you had a lovely weekend. I love the romance! Grin

My house is the opposite atm! DH has terrible work stress, I have terrible work stress, toddler is picking up on it and whining a lot and I am insanely hormonal atm and crying HUGELY and snottily about everything. last night I decided everyone hated me and collapsed in snotty tears on the settee for waaaay too long. started breathing again and then saw the john lewis advert for the first time and off i went again. the tearfulness is definitely getting worse; I cry nearly every morning over something ridiculous atm!

oh the other hand tho I just felt the baby proper tap! I have felt weird flutters like my tummy is roiling about particularly if my waistband is digging in, but this was two clear taps :) Hurrah! you could be feeling flutters maybe, we are all different and know what is normal for us!

good luck scooby!

a boy rt! wonderful! Is that two boys on this thread then or have I made another boy up?! i feel like we should be noting this down somewhere...

elly I have ligament pain too, some days worse than others. Let us know what the dr says...

10 am still weeing all night and having very vivid crazy dreams too.

feel more hormonal and 'pregnant' than I have done in a long time! I thought it was supposed to be chilling out a bit now?!

SevenElvesAndAReindeer · 12/11/2012 11:32

wilde I'm hugely hormonal too, crying at things which wouldn't normally bother me. We could add the sex onto the stats thread?

FlaminNoraImPregnantPanda · 12/11/2012 11:45

I've been feeling rolls and gentle knocks for a couple of weeks now, but only if I gently press on my bump and am very still. Today I felt this first movement while distracted doing something else, which is very exciting.

wilderumpus · 12/11/2012 11:50

phew seven, all normal then :)

flamin yes, yes, I feel it only when I am sat working at my desk at home, very still, very quiet and then might get a wee pop or roll. will be amazing when feeling it when out and about tho! congrats!

scooby26 · 12/11/2012 12:06

Morning,

Scan all well ;-) baby was jumping around as if either hiccups or on a trampoline! V cute and nice sonographer.

Nuchal measurement was 1.7 and await combined results later this week x

tasmaniandevilchaser · 12/11/2012 14:06

RT sorry I didn't even mention all your stresses, I'm blaming the baby brain and pneumonia! Blush. I think the FMC sound much more reliable, I'd be putting my money on their stats. I hope it has put your mind at rest and you can start to relax.

hi wilde good to see you here as well

scooby great news on the scan, lovely to see a bouncing baby Smile, I love it so much when they move around during the scan. I don't know what 1.7 means on the nuchal measurement, is that good? Hope the tests bring good news.

I'm still alternating between bed and sofa recovering, mainly coughing and watching daytime TV. (and mumsnetting!) My parents have got DD, they are a godsend. I've been signed off til Friday, to be reviewed on Thursday.

One quick question, who is getting a bump? I'm sure with DD I was in maternity trousers at 16 wks and although my stomach is quite fat atm, the actual bump bit (under my waistband) just looks un-pg. I seem to remember that bit growing to join up with the fat bit but it's all a bit hazy.

LittleSpade · 12/11/2012 14:33

Hi everyone - can i join you?

I have been lurking for a little while but was too scared to join in until after my scan due to previously having 2 mcs including one mmc diagnosed at a 12 week scan.

Well i had my official scan last week and am now feeling a bit braver. Also have a doppler so have heard the heartbeat myself a couple of times for reassurance. It all seems more real after the scan and i was even brave enough to take a quick wander through the baby section of John Lewis at the weekend and got myself some maternity jeans from H&M as all my others were getting too tight even with a hairband through the buttonhole.

I seem to have popped out and got a proper bump since about 13 and a half weeks and am soooo much more comfy in maternity jeans. Can't wait to feel movements but as this will be DC1 i imagine i might have to wait a while yet. Although when i've woken up the last few mornings i have had a slightly wonky tummy with a hard lump produding on the side where baby is! Anyone else had this?

Although i doubt we'll buy the big things from there i found reading the Mothercare catelogue that i picked up at weekend really interesting as it includes lots of info on what to look for in car seats, mattresses, bedding, baby monitors etc and explains some of the jargon as well as advertising their products.

Anyway hi to everyone

14+1 - have added myself to the stats list

LittleSpade · 12/11/2012 14:34

Meant to say my EDD is currently 12th May which i think is share with Ellypoo

TremoloGreen · 12/11/2012 14:38

Gosh, this has moved on since I last checked in!

Berri - sorry to hear about the tear, have they given you some advice on what to expect (will it heal, or just get relatively smaller as the placenta gets bigger)? I really hope you are managing to rest.

Good news about all the scans, I can also recommend FMS, we went there for an early scan, they were so nice and attentive and their equipment is really ace (used to be a medical scientist, can still get excited about this kind of thing)

So no movement for me yet although probably just not very in tune with what I'm meant to be feeling. I also have no idea what it means to say you can feel your uterus above your public bone (?) What's it meant to feel like then?? Grin

wilderumpus · 12/11/2012 14:44

hello spade! lovely to see you! and you tas; we are pregnant!

yes I have that bump - that is your bump! :)

beware of mothercare catalogues enticing you to buy every bloody thing you will never need and then more Grin but yes, exciting looking at shopping! congrats on getting into maternity, is soooo yummy!

congrats scooby!

God almighty, I keep bursting into tears today. Thank goodness I work on my own, tho poor DH rang me to see about the baby nudges I felt and instead had me crying Confused poor love Grin

tas some days I have a nice neat looking little bump, like yesterday, and others I just feel fat (like today!).

tasmaniandevilchaser · 12/11/2012 14:46

hi littlespade good news on the happy scan and being able to relax a bit, you are doing better than me! I also had a MMC discovered at the 12 wk scan last year, I still can hardly believe good news at a scan now.

I sometimes have a bit of a lump on one side quite low down, but it varies. During the last scan the baby was wriggling around loads, but often resting facing away from us, sticking his bum in our faces, so to speak. I imagine in my mind his little bottom sticking out and making that little lump Grin

FlaminNoraImPregnantPanda · 12/11/2012 17:13

I look huge, way more pregnant than I am. I'm overweight and had a big belly anyway. Baby bump has displaced it all and now it all just looks like baby bump.

SevenElvesAndAReindeer · 12/11/2012 17:37

I look the same, and I haven't gained any weight despite not having MS and this being DC3. With DD I was wearing maternity jeans at 8 weeks, something else making me worry ahead of my scan!

Congrats on the scan scooby!

Hi tasmanian, or do you prefer tas? I think with the nuchal scan the lower the number the better, though I declined the nuchal with all of mine. Sorry to hear you've had pneumonia, you must have been feeling bloody awful during the exhausting early weeks!

Hi to you too littlespade. Sorry to hear about your previous mc's, having a mmc diagnosed at 12 weeks must have been heartbreaking. Glad you're able to relax a bit more now you've had a scan.

berri · 12/11/2012 19:49

Hi Seven next scan is on Wednesday. My 6th scan!! Looks like we'll find the sex out then too so hopefully all will be well.

Glad you feel like you're on the mend tasmanian and that you have some help with your dd.

I'm sorry for your previous loss, how hard at 12 weeks. I'm glad you've joined us, welcome!

I have a little bump now too which is lovely Smile and makes me feel 'more pregnant' after just knowing ourselves since August!!! Seems like I've been pregnant forever already.

I too felt the first movements this week, best feeling ever Grin

berri · 12/11/2012 19:55

Oops posted too soon, was still talking about the movements!

Tremolo for me it feels a bit like bubbles popping, I saw something the other day saying it was like popcorn popping so that kind of sensation! Sometimes it feels a bit squirmy too, but in a nice way! Also last night my tummy felt a bit tight so I wondered if it had moved to the front a little or something...

The other day I did get a proper little kick though - made me jump! None of those since unfortunately!

Noooo idea about the uterus above the pubic bone thing either Confused

Wirrawoo · 12/11/2012 20:15

Wow all you ladies feeling taps and flutters and baby movement. How exciting!! Am on high alert for flutters, but so far just one very tight waistband and emerging bump (still mostly looks like I've just had too many pies but it's growing day by day). Told the news to my sister today over Skype (she's in Australia). Her first time being an Aunty and it was so nice to get so excited with someone. Have been dying to tell her but wanted to do it to her face so had to wait until we could Skype. Now we just have the inlaws & my partner's family to tell tomorrow. Have been putting it off as my MIL is a rather difficult customer. Alas she probably won't be happy for us which is sad (no reason for it other than a major case of empty nest syndrome), but I'm sure she will come around eventually and luckily he has a large extended family all of whom will definitely be over the moon for us, so I'm hoping he will get a lot of support from them. He is going to tell her without me there as he doesn't want me stressed in case she flips out. Poor guy. Am planning on making some yummy cake type treat for him to come home to!
Welcome to the new people, and congrats to those who had their scans. You are right wilde about there being 2 boys so far. One of them is our little groover bouncing away in there :)
