blonderthanred · 06/10/2012 12:47

Many congratulations Evil. Hope you are getting lots of tea and toast.

Bluetinkerbell · 06/10/2012 12:49

Congratulations evil lots of rest and snuggle time with baby boy! Try not to get stressed!

ValiumQueen · 06/10/2012 12:50

I was born at home as was my brother. He was born in 1965. My eldest brother was born in hospital and I swear they got the babies mixed up as he is such a twonk.

TheDetective · 06/10/2012 12:50

Yippeeeeeee Evil and congratulations! Just keep doing lots of skin to skin with him, and waking him and trying to latch him on. He will get the idea in the end!

ValiumQueen · 06/10/2012 12:56

Well done evil the feeding will get easier. Take it one feed at a time and this time next week you will both be like professionals. So glad you are both ok, and quite envious you are through the other side x hope your sore bits improve soon x

TheDetective · 06/10/2012 13:02

I have a really bad rash under my left breast. Fabulous! I think it is a sweat rash!! I noticed it last week, but it is getting worse gah!

Is it wrong that I don't want this baby to come til at least 38 weeks now! I want at least a week off work, to bake eat cakes and nest Grin I think this baby is getting itself ready though. Was convinced I'd go to t+13 as with DS, but I'm not so sure now....! Time will tell ;)

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 06/10/2012 13:03

Congratulations evil!

Am exhausted, pushed DD in new buggy to town and back and 30 min walk each way in he sunshine has done me in! DD slept all the way back so ah is full of beans and I am ready to sleep.

Plus, over estimated my bladder's control with a 7lb baby jumping on it and wet myself when we go home as didn't make it to the loo in time. First time I have wet myself as an adult and sober. Blush

Congrats evil !!! Hope you're not too sore and he catches onto the feeding malark soon. Can't wait to hear what you've chosen to call him and see some pics xxxxx Take care of yourself and you're wee bundle!

kissyfur · 06/10/2012 13:05

Congratulations evil!! Lovely news Smile

Peaky1 · 06/10/2012 13:09

Brilliant news Evil! I did a little 'yaaaay!' to nobody in particular in my kitchen when I read that. When did you end up going into hospital then? Hoping you are both happy and well xx

kirrinIsland · 06/10/2012 13:13

Congratulations evil that's great news Grin

NervousAt20 · 06/10/2012 13:13

There's no cake or chocolate in my house Sad and I really don't want to go out but want something now!!!

StuntNun · 06/10/2012 13:14

Go Evil! I'm doing my happy dance for you! Grin My DS2 was the same weight, they look so tiny. Bfing is a bit awkward for the first two or three days until your milk comes in and then you suddenly find you have too much of the stuff. The colustrum in the early days is liquid gold though, the absolute best food for your baby so it's worth continuing for the a wee while just to get as much into him as possible.

Congratulations evil! Brilliant news!

ditsygem · 06/10/2012 13:35

Congratulations Evil! Look after yourself and your little one and get plenty of rest.

YellowWellies · 06/10/2012 13:40

Woo a nice 6lber - good for you evil. Can't wait to hear his name. Hope you heal swiftly and he gets the hang of feeding soon - it's probably a big learning curve when all he's been doing for the last eight odd months is kicking, hiccuping and flooping round in amniotic fluid - but he'll get there, it's what he's designed to you (and what your boobs are designed to do too so don't panic). Lots of love to you and your family - and enjoy those baby cuddles. Am v jealous. YW xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Sophiathesnowfairy · 06/10/2012 13:46

Brilliant news evil Thanksam sure you will stop feeling so sore in a couple of days, not sure about not being tired any more. BF ing can be hard at first but you need to be stubborn and keep going however you feel to give it a proper chance. Good luck.

Think I am going to mobilise the boys to go for an autumn walk................

ValiumQueen · 06/10/2012 14:04

YW great post on the other thread Grin

ValiumQueen · 06/10/2012 14:06

evil he will also have a sore head after the ventouse. Hope he is not too bruised. My DD had a purple cone head and was a misery guts for a few days (understandable). Hang on, very little has changed Grin

YellowWellies · 06/10/2012 14:20

Sorry VQ couldn't resist - there are some real power junky twats on that (once very useful) thread....

Titsalinabumsquash · 06/10/2012 14:23

Evil congratulations on your new son Smile I'm glad you're both safe and well.

I'm very puffy and grey skinned today as my MIL pointed out. Baby still moving well though do that's something. DS and I had our flu jabs this morning and I'm booked in for wc jab at the end of the week.
DS has promptly got a fever and is feeling very sorry for himself after the jab so we're snuggled on the sofa watching The Avengers.

ValiumQueen · 06/10/2012 14:23

YW there is another one running too if you were feeling bored. The 'just been offered' one.
