Mabel- Nope just the actualy form from the hosp sayingdowns low risk and the other (can't remember). Will ask mw on the 24th though because I'm curious.

Hi everyone. Calvenjoe - can sympathise with the dh situation. Mine tries his best but he spent all weekend doing DIY (converting his study into a bedroom for us so new baby can go in our room) which obviously needs doing but I need help with ds too!! He's going away for 4 nights at end of this month and i'm not looking forward to it!!
I've been naughty and bought a couple of things too. Went to Mothercare to have a look at buggy boards but couldn't see any?!!!
We've got our next sca 8th May and we're going to find out the sex - can't wait!!

Just had a ploughmans baguette from local shop and it had a chunk of brie in it!! Luckily I checked inside before eating and threw it away. I was so tempted to eat it though!!

Back from midwife appointment that heartbeat check is so reassuring all fine, didn't have my bloods done I now have to go over to the hospital to have them taken so will have to be tomorrow when ds is in nursery.
I must have made an impression on the midwifes when pregnant with ds as they both remembered me Blush Its probably because I have an unusual surname.

Got my scan date through too 10th May, DH doesn't want us to find out the sex, so will have to wait till the birth. Unless I ask the sex before dh comes into the room at the scan but that wouldn't be right oh well.

calvemjoe · 03/04/2006 14:31

Marls, I'm due on the 5th, I am just begining to feel human again but keep on overdoing in and exhausting myself.

Congrats on all the good triple test scores.

I've brought 3 sleepsuits from m & s when I reached 12 weeks [guilty emoticon] but they were beautiful and I wanted it to seem more real.

last night baby was wriggling around and I had my hand on my tummy and a big round hard thing wriggled past, think it was a head Grin

mabel1973 · 03/04/2006 15:35

oh all this talk of shopping is making me itch to get out and buy some orgeous little outfits - must repeat to myself ' be strong and resist....'
Puppy you've got me intrigues by your surname now - do tell!!!
I had a VERY unusual maiden name - couldn't wait to get married - 1st bloke that'd have me Wink

puppy · 03/04/2006 18:48

I can remember with my first pregnancy that I was itching to buy baby stuff and as soon as I had my 20week scan DH and I went out and bought the pram Blush. Certainly waiting till 20 weeks this time.

Lysettes · 03/04/2006 20:48

calemjoe glad to hear you're feeling a bit better!

thanks for the support about work ladies - it's much better now - maybe because i can see the end in sight Smile

i have this wonderful plan to spread the cost of everything so means i HAVE to buy things but i know it's very bad bad bad Blush

our scan is 27th april and can't wait - dh is being very good and not saying whether he would like a ds or dd but i think it means he will want to know the sex.

mabel how were the witches?

have a great evening everyone!

trace2 · 04/04/2006 08:58

hi just asking how Coriander73 , and compo are doing?? not see you for a while, are you both getting bigger now??

compo · 04/04/2006 09:37

hi trace - doing fine thanks except still feeling sick! How are you doing?

OP posts:
mabel1973 · 04/04/2006 09:44

morning all!

Compo sorry to hear you're still feeling sick - I hope it passes soon!
Lysettes - witches weren't too bad yesterday - a couple werem't there. One little boy (about 4yo) pushed DS over a few weeks ago and got into trouble with his mum for it and he has now developed a real problem with DS (he's only 16 months so hasn't got a clue bless him) but shouts 'you're a monster and a horrible little boy' to ds whenever he gos near him and his mum just laughs!!! Personally I don't think it's at all funny!
Taught DS to point to his tum and mummy's tum yesterday, so the next stage will be 'where's the baby? In mummy's tum..'

trace2 · 04/04/2006 09:46

oh sorry your still feeling sick, how long did it last time?? am ok

mrsmaddyd · 04/04/2006 10:01

May i join in please.

Ive lived on the ttc after miscarriage threads for a year and finally am now healthily 18weeks pregnant agin after two miscarriages. Found out i was pregnant on Christmas day but have been pretty quiet on Mumsnet since then as didnt want to get to excited about it

But feel confident now i have reached 18 weeks, have had a few scan now and all looks well. My triple screen test came back fine so hey i can now relax and enjoy Smile

I am due 6th Sept but am booked in for a C section 30 August

And i know the sex Grin

Hiya Hellkat how you doing?

homemama · 04/04/2006 10:30

Hi everyone! Hope you are all well! Sorry I haven't posted in so long but I thought last week that the sickness was actually getting worse. Sad

Anyway, I'm 16+1 and I've started to feel little kicks. DH bought me a sonic aid for my birthday so I can listen to the baby's heartbeat too. I'm def. going to find this reassuring as last time I always worried if DS hadn't kicked for a while.

I'm sure we're having another boy as I just feel the same now. I checked the chinese astrology chart that I was given when pg with DS and this also says boy. I don't mind as it would be nice for DS to have a brother.

Glad the test results all came back as low risk. Mabel, sorry you're worried about your results. Don't forget that 1 in 100 is still only 1% chance so 1 in 400 is a 0.25% chance. I know that doesn't put your mind at risk but it's worth remembering.

I'm hoping I'll start to feel normal again soon so fingers crossed I can become a regular again. Grin

Oh and hi to everyone new. Smile

curlygirl · 04/04/2006 12:33

Hi everyone, glad to hear you are all blooming. Sorry I haven't been posting for a while, time just seems to be running away from me lately. I just wondered, is anyone else feeling weepy at the slightest thing or is it just me? I took dd to a new playgroup the other day and the other toddlers were horrible to her. She got pushed over and hit really hard on the chest by a much bigger girl and of course she started to cry. Well, I could have sobbed my heart out, but I took some deep breaths and encouraged her to play with someone else. I am sure this happens all the time at toddler groups and I was overreacting, but myy dd looked so little and vulnerable it broke my heart. She is such a sweetie and kept approaching other children to play with and ended up getting hit 4 times in an hour. I burst into tears as soon as dh came home from work and couldn't stop. I am usually quite an emotional person, but not this bad. I only have to hear a sad story on the news, especially about sick children and I fill up.

Coriander73 · 04/04/2006 12:48

Hey Trace! I've been wondering how you are. I'm nearly 17 weeks...sickness went & came back big time on Sunday but feeling better ish again today. To me it feels like I have a large bump but maybe to others just a bump IYSWIM?!! Have 2nd scan on 3rd May but we don't want to know the sex....although we'd love another girl but as long as it's well that's the main thing :)

How's Pussycat? Haven't seen much from her lately...

Coriander73 · 04/04/2006 12:52

Trace ignore last comment re pussycat!! Have just checked in again & since I last looked which was only yesterday she's back!! Happy Birthday BTW!

calvemjoe · 04/04/2006 13:00

Welcome mrsmaddyd, tell us , what are you having?

mabel1973 · 04/04/2006 14:03

welcome mrs. maddyd and congratulations!

Curlygirl - you have my sympathy - ds is having a similar experience with one boy in particular at playgroup (I posted this morning about yesterdays 'fun' session) and i find it very upsetting as well. I do think your hormones make things seem worse, but at the end of the day you just want to protect your lo and when things happen to them that aren't very nice it does break your heart.

mabel1973 · 04/04/2006 14:27

forgot to add
Homemama - thanks for your words of wisdom - you are absolutely right and puttinghit like that puts it into perspective a bit more for me :)

compo · 04/04/2006 15:37

welcome MaddyD - do let us know what you're having!! It must be nice knowing exactly when your baby is coming too. I've got the unenviable task of ringing my parents who live 3 hours away when I *think I'm in labour Sad

Hiya all.
Had the consultants' appointment and it's all good news. Swab was clear but still have to have regular 4 weekly ones, have a uti so that explains the backache & put on anti-biotics, had more bloods done (being tested for Lupus!) and got to hear little one. Lol. Knew she'd got bigger, my fundus now measures over 18wks (I'm 16+5) and when asked if I felt any movement she booted the consultant then did little somersaults that were visable .

Maddy- Great to see you here hun!!! It's finally sunk in! I'm having a baby, what about you?

compo · 04/04/2006 18:13

ooh Hellkat do you know you're having a girl or is it a hunch?!!
