Morning all hope you had a good easter.

Welcome tazz and smudger73 Smile

HK I hope the physio helps.

Pmsl at your question coriander, come on tell us more Grin

Nothing much to report here, been abit sickly this am but I did have dinner at my mums yesterday Grin.
We have had a good weekend, dh and I have done lots of diy, painted the external windows, cloakroom, tidied the front garden up. My mums is helping us to get rid of our ponds at the end of the week and is also helping us to finish the back garden. lots need doing still and I am adament the whole house will be decluttered, freshly painted by the time this baby arrives, poor DH lol.
Taking DSD tot he hospital today forher MRI results she is totally deaf in her right ear, fingers crossed they find the reason this time as the ct scan showed nothing.

Coriander73 · 18/04/2006 10:55

Well, last night I awoke (or rather I was awoken!) to what I thought was my DH stratching!! He was snoring his head off but...his knees were up (he never sleeps with his knees up!) & I suddenly felt really embarrassed - (we do have a super king size bed so at least we weren't touching so to speak!) but I just didn't know what to do. Of course, we have only managed sex once since conceiving as I've been sick & have just totally lost the urge but I suddenly felt as if I was intruding on his private life...the thing is I asked him this morning why he was "stratching"..he said what was I talking about etc. I then joked that maybe he'd err..wanked etc...to which he said well obviously but in a very scarcastic way...then I felt even worse!!!! I just found it very unnerving to be woken up by those noises (it felt like I was sort of spying but I wasn't IYSWIM? Thing is ...now I have the doubt in my head whether he was or not! Thing is I just didn't think (perhaps naively) that you can in your sleep??!)..plus I feel even worse that I've denyed him for so long I mean he did ask the other day when were we likely to resume any kind of sexual activity!!!!! :o :o

Bella23 · 18/04/2006 11:56

Coriander - sounds to me that he is unaware of anything and that it was in his sleep.
Join the club, we haven't managed a shag at all this year (basically since we found out I was pregnant) due to nerves about doing any damage. Now I know this is absurd but the nagging feeling just won't go away! We've therefore decided to have fun in other ways without going the full way until we feel happy enough.
Don't be giving youself a guilt trip on the whole "denying him" thing as at the end of the day its only a short phase - it won't kill him for a while!
I don't know.....men, they aren't half ruled by one part of their body aren't they??!!Grin

mabel1973 · 18/04/2006 12:45

Cori- nothing would suprise me about men and their willies! DS plays with his as soon as his nappy comes off and he's only 16 months! That's men for you, always fiddling about with something even in their sleep!
As for the drinking of alcohol when BF, I was back on a glass of wine a night or thereabouts once DS was born - had to have something to keep me going! Maybe that's why he slept through so young Blush

Lysettes · 18/04/2006 12:48

Cori - nearly spat my busciut all over my computer screen!!!

Agre it was probably in his sleep and he's now embarassed about it Grin

We have resumed relations, but on a weekly basis - like it's a saturday afternoon treat Blush as it's about the only time of the week that i'm not crochety from lack of sleep (waking up at 3 every morning and can't get back to sleep), or shattered in the evening! DH has given up remarking on it and is now getting very strong wrists Wink

Puppy well done on the DIY - that's great! hope they get your DSD's ear sorted, or at least know the cause.

I am missing my rioja badly - DH is like the food police.

Anyone missing any food things badly? Mine are sashimi and soft poached eggs - if you get organic really good expensive eggs do you all reckon it'd be safe to have a soft dippy egg?

lovely the sun's out!

mabel1973 · 18/04/2006 12:48

P.s. I have also had THAT question....managed to avoid it so far. I feel guilty, but then think well why should I, my boobs feel like great big beach balls, I feel fat, knackered and generally not v. sexy and there's not alot I can do about it!

TopBanana · 18/04/2006 13:17

Hi I had my scan today. Was feeling very nervous about it but everythings fine.
And its a girl Grin It was lovely to see her again.
Coriander I agree it is possible to do that while asleep!!
Welcome Smudger and Tazz Smile
I will try and post on here more often now things have gone quiet at work.

calvemjoe · 18/04/2006 13:34

Congrats Top, I'm really pleased for you. That's 2 little girls expected on the thread now. Wonder who's hiding the boys.

Any name ideas yet? x

We really thought it would be a boy so haven't really gone into names.
We like Leah, already have an Ellie and think they sound nice together Smile

How exciting - lovely, lovely, lovely!!Grin
I reckon I am hiding a boy......just had a feeling over the weekend......no proof it just popped into my head!

Lysettes · 18/04/2006 14:26

TopBanana - that's amazing! and congrats!
can't wait for our scan now Smile

Marls001 · 18/04/2006 15:05

oh, my, gosh, these posts are awesome. Grin We haven't been too active ourselves; DH being very patient so far. Sounds to me like he was unaware as well, Cori - also sounds like he was embarrassed! (I know I would be.)
Congrats, TopBanana!! Off to the Dr. right now to find out what we are having.

Puppy - so glad that the MRI was ok, sorry meant to ask. So does this mean that they don't know why she has deafness in her ear? Poor little thing.

Can I just say that I am finding it hilarious that we are discussing our other halves' intimate moments as they would be sooooooo mortified if they knew!!Grin

Rioja - its red wine, probably used to hearing it when its spoken ie RIOKA.......ooh Lysettes could do with a glass myself

homemama · 18/04/2006 16:00

Congratulations Top Banana!
I'm sure I'm having another boy but time will tell!

Cori, it doesn't sound like a very comfortable position to, ahem, take care of himself in. Having his knees up I mean. DH regularly rolls into me in the night fully aroused. He's usually snoring his head off and is either touching himself or trying to cop a feel of me. I have often removed his hand from my bum and placed it on his willy. Sorry TMI Blush I've never known him to carry it through when asleep though. Although having been so sick recently, I have had to encourage more frequent solo activities! Grin

Lysettes, I miss rioja too! Oh and stilton, yummy!
Mabel, DS (17mths) also can't leave his alone. He loves stretching it to see how far it will go! Grin

Welcome to everyone new! Smile

puppy · 18/04/2006 16:05

Ah thanks bella, I am more into spirits myself my fav tipple is rum and coke.

I'm afraid they don't know the cause of her deafness and are just keeping an eye on her to make sure her good ear is ok. Its a shame as she wanted to go into the army or police but you need all your senses for that. She is ok about it though, dh and I have talked to her about things. She had got into college and is looking forward to that Smile

As I am sat here LO is wriggling lots, love it love it love it. Is anybody else started to feel movements yet?

homemama · 18/04/2006 16:05

Sorry, meant to add. Puppy, glad the scan went ok. Does it still leave you with more tests?
Marls, come back on to tell us! [smile

puppy · 18/04/2006 16:08

Nothing else they can do homemama I don't think, she has had numerous hearing tests, ct scan and mri scans. The consultant wasn't about today but we will see her in october and see what she says.

homemama · 18/04/2006 16:10

Shame! Even if they can't help I'm sure she'd like to know the exact cause and extent.

BTW, I'm getting quite a few kicks now. Fab, isn't it? Smile

puppy · 18/04/2006 16:12

the movements are so reassuring Smile

yep we would love to know the cause.

How is your sicknes now?

puppy · 18/04/2006 16:14

forgot to add we also want to make sure that her good ear will not be affected.

Ok going to cook dinner now, pork chops and veggies just bought a potato ricer at the weekend so may try that out.

take care all
