Look forward to hearing for you soon Smile

bambi06 · 18/04/2006 12:01

is it possible to have an implantation bleed at 5.4 weeks, isnt it a bit late on as according to internet search they are usually 6-20 after conception but thats not possible in my case so if anyone has got the book with all the info like what to expect in pregnancy please can you let me know as i had slight pink bleed after sex [tmi][very little] then the following morning just a brownish discharge but still no symptoms at all..ive got a drs appt tomorrow afternoon so i can ask for an early scan as i really am amazed if i am still pregnant as ive never had a pregnancy with no symptoms before and i know i should be sitting back feeling rather smug but im worried sick and cant sleep at night for worrying!!

Angsthase · 18/04/2006 12:37

Bambi,

I had more or less the same this weekend. I don't think it's implantation bleeding. When I went to see the doctor for my initial appt he said that spotting now and again throughout the pregnancy is normal as long as it's not lots. I think in my case it was (will try not to be too graphicBlush) because I wasn't really very relaxed, so the sex was not that "comfortable" and so I had a very small amount of bleeding afterwards (Sat) and a little bit of spotting yesterday. I think subconsciously I've not got my head around sex being ok while pg - it's all a bit wierd.

That said, I've decided to try not to worry about it unless it continues or I have a heavy bleed, as I can't do anything about it and I'll just have to wait and see.

Don't know if this helps atall, but at least you know you're not alone! Smile
Check with your doc tomorrow (and let me know!)

Anyone else had something similar?

bambi06 · 18/04/2006 13:39

[tmi] but do you think it was the sex that started it off, as mine started straight after and i must admit it did feel different during the actWink

Angsthase · 18/04/2006 14:13

Hi Bambi,

I know what you mean about the TMI, but it's difficult to get the idea across without the info, isn't it WinkBlush
I'm 7 weeks and I had some spotting right on the first day I found out and nothing until sex on Sat, so I'm inclined to believe the sex started it off - but I don't think that necc means bleeding from the uterus / womb - it could also be a small vaginal bleed - not 100% on the science of this, I think I read it somewhere! Maybe I should start a thread on the pregnancy pages, I bet there's loads of mumsnetters who know more than we do! Grin

bambi06 · 18/04/2006 14:25

i read somewhere[god knows where as ive been searching everywhere for info] but it sdaid that sex early on can cause some abrasion on cervix as apparently the cervix at this stage is very soft and sensitive but it said that sex itself cant cause a miscarriage , im just hoping this is what has happened but the fact that i have no symptoms at all worries me as with my last three pregnancies i had symptoms from the word go!! i`m so irritable and anxious all the time because of the not knowing!!!aaarrrgh!!!

staceym11 · 18/04/2006 14:59

hi just popping in from the due nov thread! i cant believe there is a due dec already!! makes me feel like i been pg for ages!

just like to say congrats to you all and wish you healthy happy pregnancies!!

Angsthase · 18/04/2006 15:00

I think you should ask for an early scan if you're really worried about the lack of symptoms - it will help put your mind at rest (and then you'll probably start getting the horrible symptoms - Hope not! Smile)
Although there's quite a few MN'ers who say some of their pregnancies are different, but if it puts your mind as ease ask them to do it.

oinker · 18/04/2006 16:49

I am bowing out of this thread.

I wish you all the very best and hope that you all have a trouble free 8mths or so and as a result healthy gorgious babies.

Take good care of yourselves and once again
CONGRATULATIONS XX

bambi06 · 18/04/2006 18:38

ive been having spotting again this afternoon and feel so anxious i cant concentrate straight let alone look after my other two,, how does a miscarriage start if you dont mind me asking..is it bright red blood/spotting/brownish? please someone share their experiences..i hope you dont mind , ill understand if its a bit hard to do and you dont feel like talking about it but if there is anyone im getting a bit desperate here and very near to tears whenever i thnk of the reality of it..the drs wont be able to say much tomorrow i expect and then ill have to wait for a scan ..i just wish it would stop altogether or just get on with the miscarriage if thats whats happening..last time i had a missed miscarriage so didnt get to lose it naturally so dont know what to expect..

ProfYaffle · 18/04/2006 19:19

Bambi - I started bleeding yesterday, I was about 6 weeks. It was unmistakable tbh, very heavy, bright red, clots (sorry if tmi!) I'm so sure I've lost it I've not even gone to gp's yet, will be going tomorrow.

Hope all is well with you.

xx.

laughalot · 18/04/2006 19:58

Hi bambi sorry to crash onto the thread im not even pg yet but I am trying. Just wanted to sa when I was pg with my ds I had a bleed at about 4 weeks it was bright red I ended up at the epu but everything was fine and I had a healthy pg after that, I think sex sometimes can be the cause it can be sensetive down there. Good luck sorry to crash onto here.

cupcakes · 18/04/2006 20:43

I've come on here very tentatively as although I got a bfp today I feel rather achey in a pre-menstrual way. I am very nervous as I had a missed miscarriage at the start of March and I hadn't even had a period yet.
No symptoms other than tiredness and slightly tender boobs. And increased peeing. But these are all outweighed by my period symptoms. So we shall see.
ProfYaffle - so sorry to read your update. I am fairly sure I live in the same town as you (Shock) so if you want to discuss your mc with anyone I'm around a fair bit and we could meet up if you like.

lucy5 · 18/04/2006 20:49

So sorry for all who are bleeding, don't know what to say really, just take the best care of yourselves that you can and that I am thinking of you all. Sad

lucy5 · 18/04/2006 20:50

Congratulations cupcakes Smile

bambi06 · 18/04/2006 21:20

thanks.the fact is ..yet ...im only having spotting of brownish stuff, no red or clots etc but well see what dr says tomorrow..thanks for replying anywaySmile

jabberwocky · 18/04/2006 22:45

Hi all, I just came back from a little out of town trip. So sorry to hear of your losses ProfYaffle and oinker. bambi06, I'm still not having a huge number of symptoms either - just sleeping a ton. I did get really worried yesterday. We were in Chattanooga, Tennessee to take ds to the aquarium. Wound up doing lots and lots of walking. I got totally worn out and went to bed as soon as we got to the room. I felt really strange, not exactly cramping but not right either. I took a nap and ate and felt better, but all this talk of missed miscarriages has me kind of paranoid.

K1K2 · 18/04/2006 23:58

Hi All, sorry to come in close to others on the thread who had mc's , I'm so sorry....EDD on the 15th , that is if I don't have an elective cesarean. Jabberwocky , keep the faith for us older mums. As I am also at that age where I could be high risk, could I ask at my first mw appt for an early scan? Where I live also they do not do scan till 20 weeks. Good luck to all others on the Dec due thread x

jabberwocky · 19/04/2006 01:35

Welcome K1K2! We have identical EDD's :) But since I'm having a c-section I will be going in on the 7th. Being an "older mum" you really should be considered for an earlier scan. I'll be getting one at 7 weeks and if all is well another when they do my amnio at 16 weeks.

ProfYaffle · 19/04/2006 09:36

Congrats cupcakes - I'm sure we've spoken on another thread yonks ago and you're right about being in the same town.

I'll start another thread in meet-ups so as not to hi-jack this one.

Thanks for the good wishes from everyone, I'm fine and will be frantically drinking wine and eating soft cheese for the next couple of weeks or so to make the most of my non pregnant status Grin

Enjoy your pregnancies!

bambi06 · 19/04/2006 10:12

well im losing it which really shouldnt come as a surprise considering the lack of symptoms but i always clung onto the hope...even though it wasnt planned and was a ' omg moment' but now i m losing it icant stop crying and its not wanted i wanted as i`d got my head around the idea of having another one..its worrying to think though that this is my second miscarriage in two years so i guess my body is trying to say ..no longer baby making material!

HellKat · 19/04/2006 10:17

oinker · 19/04/2006 10:40

Angsthase · 19/04/2006 10:45
