I would imagine I'll be the first to post here for a little while - I just found out today.

Look forward to hearing for you soon Smile

thanks HellKat Grin. I'll pop over to that thread in a while.

bambi06 · 19/04/2006 10:53

thanks and bye..good luck everyone ...enjoy your pregnancies and your lovely little bundles..

jabberwocky · 19/04/2006 13:15

Oh, bambi06, I'm so, so sorry. You and I are in the same boat re: not many symptoms. I woke up frantic about it and how I felt on Monday after all the walking we did. Am going to buy a pregnancy test today just to check things out and hopefully reassure myself.

One weird thing, yesterday we had sliced tomatoes with dinner and eating one really burned my tongue. Is this pregnancy related? Or just something odd?

lucy5 · 19/04/2006 18:30

I havent had a burning but all food tastes slightly odd!

Debbsy · 19/04/2006 18:40

Oinker Proyaffle and Bambi so so sorry :(

jabberwocky · 19/04/2006 23:56

OK, I know this is probably taking paranoia to absurd levels, but I actually bought another pregnancy test today. Very strong positive. I am feeling beyond relieved right now.

Debbsy · 20/04/2006 10:23

Morning sickness well and truly kicked in now starting all week at precisely and i mean to the minute 3am good though reassures me :)

cupcakes · 20/04/2006 10:35

Is repeat testing always accurate? I only ask (not to worry you) but when I had my missed misacarriage my boobs were still very tender and pg like even though the baby must have died weeks previously. My sickness had stopped too early (for me) which was a clue that something was wrong but I wonder if a pregnancy test would have told me I was still pg as technically, being a missed miscarriage, I sort of still was.
I'm still getting niggling feelings in my back which is what I felt last time just before the bleeding (finally) started.

jabberwocky · 20/04/2006 15:13

The line was much darker than the first test I did so I feel pretty good about it. And, I feel more confident overall about things today. There have been others on here who have done repeat testing as they miscarried and the lines got fainter.

cupcakes · 20/04/2006 16:39

glad you're feeling better today. I can't wait till I move into the 2nd trimester.

lucy5 · 20/04/2006 16:45

Neither can i, i've never [well only been preggers once before] known morning sickness like it!

spinamum · 21/04/2006 14:23

can i join in? i think i'm due on 25th Dec. (Which is kinda cool I think!) i'll probably not give birth til Jan but i'm sticking with this thread.

i'm on #2 and thought i'd be much more relaxed this time, but i'm straight into worry mode. I felt more pg before i did the test than i do now and i'm desperately trying to remember how pg i felt at this point last time.

i'm cream cracked, constipated, an emotional wreck (i may be using pregnancy as excuse for that one),weeing all the time(but i am drinking lots of water), have slight occassional morning sickness( please don't hate me those who are vomiting, I get really bad piles to make up for it!) That does sound sufficiently pg doesn't it?

My Mum mc'd before she had me so i need to be half way through before i can begin to relax about baby. Then I'll find something else to stress about.

Congrats to you all!

ps those ttc threads are lucky. i started one off in March (after ttc for a year) and here we are now!

Angsthase · 21/04/2006 14:23

Starting to go off food. I thought week 7 was too late to develop ms??
Also, is anyone else suffering with greasy hair - so much for blooming in pg, I look like I haven't washed my hair in weeks Shock! (I washed it yesterday)YUK!!

cupcakes · 21/04/2006 14:30

Im not sure about when I'm due at all. Because I didn't have aperiod to date it from I'm having to work out from roughly when conceived - and then add a couple of weeks.
I've used \link{http://www.babycentre.co.uk/tools/pregcal\this calculator} which tells me that I'm due 23rd Dec and so am only 4 weeks.
The midwife I spoke to on the phone thought I might be more 5 or 6 weeks so she told me to make my booking appointment next week (mainly because they might want to give me an earlier scan because of last mc). Feel a bit fraudulent going to midwife so early.

spinamum · 21/04/2006 14:32

I think ms can start any time up to week 8. read it somewhere.

don't talk to me about hair. I look like a bag of chips. might have something to do with being too tired to wash it every morning and spending most of time in bed (alone except for a two and a half year old midnight visitor)

spinamum · 21/04/2006 14:40

Thanks cupcakes. used the calculator. still due 25th Dec. thought i'd miscalulated because this thread started a full month before my +.

good luck with midwife.

cupcakes · 21/04/2006 14:45

I read that too - that ms tends to really kick in at about 2 months. Probably why I feel fine if I'm only 4 weeks!
I've also read that my niggly pre-period type pains can be usual in early pregnancy. So I keep telling myself that.

spinamum · 21/04/2006 14:54

i've got the niggley pains too. And i remember having them last time.

wasn't sure about posting on this thread yet because it's such early days. However as no one except for DH and a receptionist at GPs are aware of condition I'm glad I've got a outlet for my early preg concerns.

I know that won't stop anything bad happening, but it will keep me slightly sane for a few months!

Love to you all and your wombs!

cupcakes · 21/04/2006 15:31

I haven't told anyone either - other than my yoga teacher to explain my abscence from class.

Angsthase · 21/04/2006 16:30

Only told DH and a very close friend (who's a doctor - called her during one of my early panics!), but it's really hard not to tell good friends who have been rooting for me to get pg. But I know it's best to wait until after the 12 wk scan. It'll be bad enough if something goes wrong, but having to tell everyone bad news after good, that would be hell. Here's hoping it all goes well for us all.
I'm 7+4 - nearly got away without the ms symptoms. Not got ms yet, just too much saliva, some food tastes funny and very fussy about what I want to eat. I'm hoping it won't turn into full ms.

Fingers crossed for all the above!! Grin

kgraham · 21/04/2006 17:16

Hello everyone! Can I join in?
I'm 6 weeks pregnant (my first!) and God I need some advice. The only symptoms I have are sore boobs that have got bigger (much to the pleasure of my husband). Should I be worried that I haven't got any other symptoms??

I'm due on 19th December, so there's a long way to go

cupcakes · 21/04/2006 17:34

I think in some (most?) cases morning sickness doesn't really kick in till week 8.
Have you got any other symptoms (\link{http://www.babycentre.co.uk/preconception/trying/toptensignsofpregnancy/\like these})?

Bloo · 21/04/2006 18:13

Oh no I had no idea ms usually kicked in at week 8, I was hoping I'd got away with just the odd queasey feeling (I'm 7 weeks)! I do note with horror that my backside and legs are notably larger than they were yesterday. I this normal?

cupcakes · 21/04/2006 18:15

Ive been re-reading The Best Friend Guide's To Pregnancy (Vicki Iovine) and yes, bottom enlarging is normal at this stage Grin.

Debbsy · 21/04/2006 18:23

I can second ms kicking in at week 8 nearly there and ive been throwing up since monday starting at 3am in the morning :)
