I would imagine I'll be the first to post here for a little while - I just found out today.

Look forward to hearing for you soon Smile

oh and yes - I've also gone a notch looser on my belt and my belly doesn't seem to like being scrunched up too much any more. Am 6 weeks today and the wait to 12 weeks and the promise of a safer time seems sooooooo far away. Fingers crossed we all make it Smile

Debbsy · 14/04/2006 11:44

Morning all ive seen my midwife today, asked all the questions health history etc shes booking me in for my scan for 12 weeks (will be 7 weeks on sunday) she said she normally rings through but as its good friday i will have to wait until next thursday as she is on hols Shock hope everyones well, feeling lots of stretchy feelings all the time.Know what you mean Bloo i keep thinking mines ectopic too as i will have acjing on bottom right side of tummy then when i really start to panic it starts on the left and gives me backache (its like my beanie is giving me reassurance, well i like to look at that way)boobs not as sore today but morning sickness still there and funny taste now sometimes too.Can wholly recommend preggie pops though dh has started to call ne kodak lol!!

oinker · 14/04/2006 11:44

OMG.....

There are quite a few on here now. Smile I am a patient in a recurrent m/c clinic and will therefore be having my first scan on tuesday. I will be 7+3. Hopefully I will get some good news.
Congrats to you all.
It's also nice to be on a thread with older mums.

I am (just) 38 (10/04) and DH is (just) 40 (04/04) This will be our first. (I hope)

Is anyone at Queen Charlottes in London?

Debbsy · 14/04/2006 11:48

Best of luck oinker :)

Bloo · 14/04/2006 12:09

Fingers crossed Oinker - pleeeeez let us know how you get on.

I have having my first waves of queaseyness today so have made fresh ginger tea and hope that helps.

jabberwocky · 14/04/2006 12:40

Regarding stretch marks, last time I used Bath and Body Works lavender vanilla massage oil. It has a sunflower oil base. NO stretch marks! And I got stretch marks just from going through puberty.

jabberwocky · 14/04/2006 12:41

Oh, and good luck oinker. I go in for a 7 week scan too. I'm really excited about getting to hear the heartbeat so soon. :)

ProfYaffle · 14/04/2006 13:41

OMG - How old is 'old' for twin purposes?? Does 34 count?

I still can't believe it's actually real, not really sure how I'm going to do the newborn thing all over again but this time with a toddler Shock

Good luck oinker, I hope everything goes well for you.

suwoo · 14/04/2006 14:59

My DD will be nearly 5!! I have so forgotten how to deal with a new born, but if it came so naturally 1st time around, I'm sure it will all come flooding back!! Good luck with the 7 week scans girls, roll on 12 weeks!!!!!!!!!

lucy5 · 14/04/2006 15:04

What are preggy pops?

oinker · 15/04/2006 14:47

Bad news I'm afraid......

I had a mega brown discharge during the night. This has happened b 4 and seems to be a sign for a missed m/c. I have no abdo pains and still have pg symptoms but I am expecting the inevitable. The discharge has stopped.
Strangely enough I am OK with this. I knew it would happen.
I will keep my tuesday appointment and am still carrying on with my treatment. I will let you all know what happens.

I wasn't going to mention anything for fear of upsetting anyone. Please don't worry about me and concentrate on your pregnancies. These things happen for a reason.

Make sure you all have a yummy easter!!!

jabberwocky · 15/04/2006 14:49

Oh, oinker, I'm so sorry to hear this. Perhaps it's just implantation bleeding. I had this with ds.

fingers crossed and sending positive thoughts your way.

lucy5 · 15/04/2006 14:50

Oinker, i am so sorry about this. You seem to know whats happening, so perhaps that makes it easier. Thinking of you Sad and hoping that it's something else!

oinker · 15/04/2006 14:51

Thanks.......
I think it's a bit late in the day for implantation bleed. I am 7 weeks today.

Thanks again. Smile

bambi06 · 15/04/2006 15:09

lucy5 · 15/04/2006 15:27

Hi bambi and I am 6 weeks preggers and must admit to still going through the ong stage. My dd is 5and although we did decide to ttc, I got pregnant on the first attempt. I dont relly feel that I have got my head round it to be honest as it took 8 months with dd and that gave me alot of time to mentally prepare. I have just started to notice prams and omg, they've changed since our day Wink

bambi06 · 15/04/2006 15:57

yes .buggies, im sure theyve got smaller! and more expensive!
have you got symptoms?

lucy5 · 15/04/2006 16:06

I have this time, quesy, sore boobs, exhausted but with dd I had none and was really worried. Whereas my friend threw up 12 times a day and worried too.

Debbsy · 15/04/2006 17:34

Oinker thinking of you hun it may not be what you think it is please try and stay positive
(((((((huge positive vibes and hugs)))))))))))

lucy preggie pops are lollipops i ordered from motherbliss especially for morning sickness.

Calmriver · 15/04/2006 20:45

Oinker-

My what to expect book says:

If Brown probablyy nothing serious, but if bright red and cramps, then more of a worry!

Don't panic.

Big hugs and pos vibes from us.xxx

ProfYaffle · 16/04/2006 15:36

Hello all, hope you're having a nice Easter.

It's all starting to sink in a bit more now (pregnancy, not Easter!), I'm remembering to refuse wine when offered, felt a bit sick this morning, feeling tired and boobs getting a bit sore and prickly. Kind of reassuring in a way, makes me think I didn't imagine the pink line.

Went to see a friend with a 5 week old baby yesterday, eek, is all I will say.

Angsthase · 16/04/2006 16:15

Hi All

Good luck for Tues Oinker, got my fingers crossed for you that it'll be ok. xxx Smile

Still have only the tiredness and sore boobs, no cravings except jaffa cakes, but that may be just a sweet tooth! Tried a sip of champagne yesterday and it tasted like sweetened vinegar, so I guess that's why I've not really been missing the odd drink!

Hope you're all having a lovely Easter.

Daisybump · 17/04/2006 10:51

Just found out I'm 5 weeks pg. Due December 21st. Had a miscarriage in November at 11 weeks, so my thoughts are with you Oinker. Hope all is well. don't know how I'll cope with the next few weeks until I know everything is OK. Feeling a bit nauseous and nearly fainted yesterday, which was a wierd experience. Had practically no symptoms with ds who is nearly four. Like some of the other mums on this thread, I'm getting on a bit....was 37 in February. hope all you newly pregnant ladies are doing OK Grin

Debbsy · 17/04/2006 17:52

Welcome Daisybumps and huge congratulations

ProfYaffle · 18/04/2006 09:54

Hi, just popped in to say goodbye. Sadly, I am no longer pregnant. Dh and I are sad and disappointed but not devastated, this is only our 2nd month of trying and the first time this has happened to us, so we have plenty of time and every reason to expect a successful outcome in the future.

Best wishes to all, hope you all have a wonderful pregnancy.
