I would imagine I'll be the first to post here for a little while - I just found out today.

Look forward to hearing for you soon Smile

Oh God Lucy, poor you. Hope you're feeling better by tom. Make's me feel quite guilty about moaning about just being knackered.
Make sure you take it easy and get to a doc soon to make sure all is well. Just in case it is low blood sugar - isn't that a good excuse to eat something sweet until you can get to one Wink

lucy5 · 12/04/2006 22:18

Thanks and dont worry and moan away. I think his might be payback for not having morning sickness with dd. Im knackered too, I keep falling asleep and waking myself up snoring Blush

jabberwocky · 13/04/2006 01:11

Well, I still don't really feel pregnant, but just like before food is tasting soooo good. I had kind of forgotten about that. I may be in for another 40 pound weight gain :)

suwoo · 13/04/2006 08:34

I've .got slight nausea, but its worse in the evenings. I'm also tired and have shaky legs! All this and I am only 4 weeks today. Got to drop sample into docs today (didn't do that with DD) and then probably wait til 12 weeks. Its such a long time to wait aaargh

Calmriver · 13/04/2006 10:13

I'm about 5-6 weeks, I know what you mean about the wait. I didn't have to wait so many weeks without an appointment with DD.

You CAN call your doctors and make an appt with the midwife for around 10 weeks if you like. Last time she let me listen to baby's heart!!

It just made those last 2 weeks go faster.

I have an appointment now for 10 weeks!

MINNIE1 · 13/04/2006 12:58

Lucy,
Ohhh horrible MS i find a energy drink good with the MS and it has loads of suger! also salted cracker things in marks and sparcs are good!

I am like an owl hag! i have no energy for DD who has bucket loads! and i am just thrown together! the joys of it all. (i will be gourgous again one day i keep tellin myself!)

suwoo,
First 12 weeks are the worst! it takes forever to get there! But you willGrin

ProfYaffle · 13/04/2006 15:06

Hello, can I join in? I got a bfp this morning! No symptoms whatsoever so far but I was the same with dd (who is 2 on april 18th)

Hope everyone has a happy, healthy pregnancy.

jabberwocky · 13/04/2006 15:11

Hi ProfYaffle! Glad I'm not the only one without any real symptoms yet. I keep reminding myself that it was pretty much the same with ds, but I still want to feel pregnant for reassurance IYKWIM.

The nurse said on Monday we'll be able to hear the heartbeat with the ultrasound. I'm wondering if they are going to use that vaginal probe thing. I'm a bit nervous about that, but I think they do if you are under 10 weeks. She said they are mainly going to check to see if it's one or two since at my age I have a higher risk of multiples. I knew that already, but still, eeeek!

Bloo · 13/04/2006 15:14

oh don't - I'm also high risk for multiples - partly age and partly because twins on my mum's side.......the positive thing is that apparently you get free nanny care / help from the local college as it's part of their training to work with twins!

ProfYaffle · 13/04/2006 15:14

jW - at my first scan with dd I was expecting to be sent home in disgrace with a touch of wind! I did my home pg test, gp didn't do another test and I had no symptoms at all so was genuinely nervous that I'd made a mistake.

Then I got to 12 weeks and slept for England! I guess we just have to enjoy it while we can.

Northerner · 13/04/2006 15:19

Hello guys Smile

I'm from the due in Nov thread, but it's 24th NOv so could technically be December if late like I was with ds.

Congratulations to you all.

ProfYaffle · 13/04/2006 15:21

How does age affect your chances of a multiple pregnancy then? I've never heard of it before, I'm sure I'm too old to be at risk ..

jabberwocky · 13/04/2006 15:36

From what I understand you are more likely to release more than one egg as you get older. Maybe nature's way of helping you get pregnant? I also have twins on my mother and father's side.

Bloo · 13/04/2006 17:10

Gracious Shock!!! My DH's dad is a twin which got us a bit alarmed until we heard that apparently it's only twins on your maternal side that increase your risk. Never say never though - the rules of science!!

jabberwocky · 13/04/2006 17:14

I wondered about that. My mom's mother is a fraternal twin and her (my mom not my grandmother) paternal grandfather was an identical twin. But, from what I've read, identicals aren't hereditary. Is that correct?

suwoo · 13/04/2006 17:18

I was concerned about twins too as seem to have so much preg hormone as I had BFP 4 days before AF due, but thats prob not that abnormal. My DH is a twin, but I believe it runs on the maternal side. I have got doctors appointment next Thursday. I hated the wait with my DD, as you really expect nothing to be there when they scan you Shock

Bloo · 13/04/2006 19:59

This is a bit of \link{http://www.geocities.com/wmotc/types.htm\easy reading about twins}
I do agree though - until my 12 week scan, I will either be convinced there's nothing there or my latest panic is that it's ectopic (I hope I haven't put my foot in it and that this upsets anyone).

Calmriver · 13/04/2006 20:26

Just having yet another hot flush after hot drink!!!

Whenever I drink anything hot in the evening, I heat up hugely!!!!

Calmriver · 13/04/2006 20:30

Wishing you all happy healthy glowing pregnancy's!!!! I sound like I am going somewhere, but I'm not!

I actually cannot wear my jeans buttoned up anymore(sounds crazy), but I have swollen/bloated out-down there!

Anyone else feel like they should start wearing tracksuit pants???for comfort?

jabberwocky · 13/04/2006 20:46

I was definitely showing last time at 8 weeks, so not too unusual. Are you drinking enough water?

lucy5 · 13/04/2006 22:05

I cant do my jeans up either and im sitting here in trackies Shock

jabberwocky · 13/04/2006 23:07

Spinach salad again today. I guess it's definitely on the list as a craving Grin

suwoo · 14/04/2006 10:11

With my DD, I wasn't showing at my 20 week scan (I am size 10) I am expecting to show earlier this time though, just hope its not before 12 weeks. I highly recommend the cocoa butter body moisturising cream, I used this last time RELIGIOUSLY and not a single stretch mark, so I will be buying some again very soon!

Bloo · 14/04/2006 10:55

Ah yes, I've heard about that too. A friend who is due in 4 weeks has just told me about Bio-Oil from Boots which she says is the loveliest stuff ever and she doesn't have a single stretch mark. I shall decide between the two by which smell I prefer I think!
