cupcakes · 24/04/2006 17:35

thank you hm. I feel like I have my fingers crossed all day. I wish I would start feeling sick then maybe I could feel more assured.

werewabbit · 24/04/2006 17:43

Hi everyone
I'm about 5 and a half wks pg, so probably due Christmas Eve, not great planning. My mum is now calling me and dh Mary and Joseph.

This pregnancy feels different from my others (1 miscarr and DS - 2yrs old), so far not as queasy nor as sore boobs. Early days yet tho.

Good luck to everyone!

cupcakes · 25/04/2006 14:41

welcome slink Smile

Thank you puppy - I was telling dh today how I'd had these lovely messages from the September thread and he was really touched - and it made me cry - but in a good way. Thanks - it means a lot.

lennied · 25/04/2006 15:47

Hi everyone,

I am getting quite jealous of all this scan talk from you early December people! Lucky things! I've got my booking in appointment confirmed for the middle of May - and we've told parents-in-law which has made everything seem a lot more real. It will be their first grandchild so after the initial shock they were both excited and I am now having to give daily updates, which is probably going to get a bit grating by the end of the week let alone the end of the pregnancy!

I have also managed to get the wind (!!) under some sort of control - by yesterday morning I was miserable as tummy so bloated and painful that I searched the MN archives and found peppermint tea and small well-chewed meals suggested. It hasn't completely got rid of it but fell 1000 times less windy and bloated. Thank god for MN. Anyone else feel like they've been inflated with a bicylce pump?

Grin
MINNIE1 · 25/04/2006 16:09

O yes bloated city here! and not to mention the farting problem!! Its a dead givaway i am pregnant cause it stinks!! The joys of being pregnant..

Welcome slink looking forward to geting to know you.

spinamum · 25/04/2006 16:19

i'm living on peppermint tea, but i caught a reflection of myself in a shop window and i look 5mths already (not the 5wks i actually am).

i don't remember this last time. i got to 12wks and one of my friends thought i might have put on a bit of wt on my waist since uni. (i was quite petite in a past life!)She told me that after i told her i was pg btw!

I'm trying to fob work off with irritable bowel symdrome for the peppermint tea that's keeping me from looking like humptey dumpty(can't spell that one!) and also keeping the waves of ms at bay.

i took my first Fybogel yesterday (renamed senokot fibre for those who know what i'm on about!) bliss. sorry TMI, i know.

cupcakes · 25/04/2006 16:42

second time round my tummy popped out within days... and it still hasn't gone back! Blush

I just had my booking in appointment - a bit earlier than usual as I don't know my dates. She says she's going to send me for an early scan to date it - hopefully in 3 or 4 weeks.
She wasn't very concerned about my mc - she said I won't get treated any differently as the fact that I had 2 successful pg's prior were more relevant. Which is a huge relief. Just need to get past 12/13 weeks and I think I'll start to relax.

spinamum · 25/04/2006 16:51

it will be great to get to 12/13+. To be able to relax and tell people will be bliss!
I've never wanted fully blown pg symptoms so much. i know i'll change my tune when they come.

Slink · 25/04/2006 20:00

Thanks minne and others for the welcome. I feel quite lucky i am 7wks and feel great, We have told family, just told sil today (but they already new coz mil had told them blahhhhh)Another thread on sil... i hope i havelearnt my lesson this time.

Farting well i am a bad farter anyway so dh is not any the wiser........

bolied waeter with a bit of lemon helps...

Bloo · 25/04/2006 20:01

I measured myself last night and I have put on 1/2 inch all over and I'm only 7 +3!! It could well be all the fruit that I can't get enough of, or all the puddings I eat to replace alcohol. I must get myself under some sort of control!!

Slink · 25/04/2006 20:04

I am trying to be so good, i reallt sruggled to loose weight after dd, so i am drinking water loads, and after 12wks i will be back on my bike

Angsthase · 25/04/2006 21:29

Debbsy and Slink you're making me jealous! EnvyGrin I'm 8wks today and don't get a scan until May 23rd! Really want to get these first 12 wks over with so I can hopefully start enjoying being pg.

Got a cold too at the moment - any suggestions on what you CAN take?!

Angsthase · 25/04/2006 21:30

Whoops - Debbsy and MINNIE - jealous of YOUR early scan. God can't even remember what I read 1 minute ago!!

Bloo · 25/04/2006 21:42

oh no - everyone knows when their scans are - I haven't a clue when mine is going to be!! Thanks Slink - I will try the water and lemon idea, although a very large packet of ginger biscuits is possibly slightly more enticing....

lennied · 25/04/2006 21:55

Bloo, I think I'm opting for the ginger biscuits too - I'll try the lemon and water when I'm slightly less hungry - which will be emmmm.....

The trumping has begun in earnest tonight, seems to set in around 8pm and see me through the night! Bring on 12 weeks!! Smile

Bloo · 25/04/2006 21:59

Do you think there's any chance at all that I've completely miscalculated and that instead of 7+3, I am actually 11+6?
