Hope so! I know with ds i thought i'd not gained much but looking at pics i was MASSIVE! This time i don't look so big but baby is bigger according to my records. And i guess i managed to lose nearly a stone at the begining....
Oh well, lets make up for it! lol

Is anyone else incredibly thirsty? Just want to drink all the time....

i eat ice cubes, normal drinks all taste warm for some reason.

Morning ladies, hope your all feeling good today! I'm bit excited for my scan this afternoon, cant believe its here already! Do we get anymore scans after this one as dont think I can wait another 20 weeks to see my baba again? Am seriously considering a 4D scan in about 8 weeks. Anyone else gonna have one?

Lol at the ice cubes Eve! Its turkish delight for me today and spicy tomato snaps yumyum! I've put on around 7lb so far but my books say that because my BMI is 30 the recommended weight gain for me is 15lb, somehow I cant see myself only putting on another 7lb over the next 20 weeks? Your allowed to put on more the smaller you are? (Its so not fair lol!)

for some bizarre reason i havent put a pound on but im massive so ive lost it some where and it isnt off my boobs lol
bhm we are going to window to the womb in nottingham if we cant see the sex when we go to the 20 wk scan

BHM Good luck for scan!! Thats normally the last one now, unless theres a reason for another. I have to have an extra in the third trimester (high risk preggie) Had 4D scan last time and it was fabulous. Gonna try and convince dh to have one again this time, but as I no longet have "proper job" money much tighter this time. Wouldn't be fair on this one not to have one though, have to treat them all the same, is the angle I think I shall take!!!!!

Hi there, did the 4D scan resemble the first baby you had? did it give you more insight into the little person inside..Is it really expensive

On the weight thing I have put on 6 nearly 7 pounds at 21 weeks. I have been trying to be good but I also want sweet food and actually savoury too. I have a big bump big boobs but so far no weight gain anywhere else. I still lookk 6 months at least if not more, but then I was showing from 11 weeks. I have a real football shape bump.

OH WELL I am not likely to loose any so just deal with it and not go mad with the fattty stuff.

I spoke to my midwife as my last baby was 9lb8 she said I wasnt large at this stage but that as I had concerns over the size of this baby ie OUCH FACTOR she said she will sneak in an extra cheeky scan for me at the end to ascertain the size!!! So theres an extra scan angle to be had if you play it right girls!

i don't have a scales in the house so i don't have to face how much wait i've gained yet! dp laughs every time he sees bump though and compliments baby on how fat he's getting which isn't reassuring!

does anyone else have a really strong sense of which sex their baby will be? i did with dd from about 12 weeks and i was right and i've got the same feeling this time that it's a boy, as does dp (to the point that we've named him already) don't really care one way or another though so wouldn't be upset if we're wrong though

I have aonther scan in 2 weeks and then 4 weeks after that so i'm actually very lucky in the sense they are keeping an eye on everything IYSWIM.

ANyone else absolutely shattered? Could do with a lovely sleep but got cousin over from Holland tomorrow and house looks like a tip! Good thing is she's a GP so will harrass her a bit.

Also, how pale do your eyelids have to be for anaemia? Mine are fairly pale and i have the tiredness.

Freddysays: It was wonderful to see her really moving IYSWIM, not just in 2-D. She was stretching, smiling, sucking her thumb and playing with the cord. I have watched the DVD too many times to tell you I have to say I did not notice a striking resemblance when she was born, I just felt then more than at any point that she was "real" and a little person. Can't remember how much, but dh will!!!! Will post later with cost.

Snowdrops, I too am knackered, and I know I'm not anaemic as my blood count is done all the time. Don't know about eyelids, but I guess if you've noticed yours look a lot different, then see doc / call midwife?
I have no idea how much I weigh and have no plans to find out either, the way I see it is that there are plenty of things to worry about why add one more!!!!

All this talk of scans makes me realise - only 2 weeks till mine!The 4D ones sound great.

I'm shattered too - booked a last minute visit to my gp as my headaches are getting worse and I feel quite low. My blood pressure and wee were ok, that was my main concern, just got to take it easy but darent take another day off work - had 7 days off since Christmas!

Im also poooped badly , but its mixture of getting over constant illness & dd driving me nutso with this not wanting to go to bed and up really early. Im loosing me marbles and quickly , Im sooo so irratable and constantly crying.

How did scan go this afternoon bhm ? Everything ok ? Mines on Monday , already getting nervous.

Looks like things with the house aren't going well. The people interested put in a really low and insulting offer and then came back with one not much bigger. Turns out they want to pay £20k less than our place anyway!
Oh well!

But it looks as though h is caving on finding out the sex at our scan on Monday! Yey!

Im liking me chocolate too , normally only a 2nd day AF thing , but loving it all the way right now! whats your fave ? Im really into dark dark dark. Lindt almond and orange seems to hit the spot.

Ours is still on. Only been on a week.

Fave chocs have to be Galaxy or Dairy Milk. Having said that I've just finished off my big mint aero bar and that was rather yummy

I had a thing for those mint dairy milks when I was pg with dd.
You can't beat a bit of galaxy with a cuppa tea.

oooh reall fancy some galaxy now and Im normally such a dark choc fiend, although would have to have crisps or nuts after, bit of a strange way round I do !!!

well i went to mw and ive got some sort of uti thats why ive ve been peeing like its going out of fashion so had to drink loads of cranberry juice as there was not a single doctor in when i had mw appt so wont get antibiotics til tomoz grrrr so another sleepness night but got to hear heart beat agin so thats was good
glade to see evryone is well

Eve I just knew ds was a boy but they wouldn't tell us. Bought boys clothes and everything.

Don't have a clue this time, but I haven't felt positive at all... if everythings okay at scan on weds hopefully they'll tell me!

My scan went well,(thanx for all your good-luck vibes!) baby is growing well and looks like a little boxer kicking n punching it hardly kept still! Did come away feeling bit frustrated though as hardly had chance to watch baba on the screen, felt like they rushed me in and out as they were running behind with appointments. She frowned when I asked if we could have 7 copies (1st grandchild), even tho I had to pay £2 a copy, and she wasnt very friendly at all! At my 1st scan they let me watch screen for several minutes in one position but this one kept moving the thingy into different positions before I had chance! Oh well cant complain as everything ok and thats all that matters really. The doctor had to see me as my BMI is quite high so he wants me to test my blood sugars incase gestational diabetes appears, got to do 2 test one next week and one at 26 weeks! They didnt ask me about the sex, which I'm glad because although I want surprise I dont think I could have resisted temptation.

Definately going to make enquiries today about a 4D scan, need to make sure we can have one without finding out the sex!

On the choc front, I'm loving allsorts, boosts, turkish delights, flakes and dipping my kit kats into a cuppa tea (bliss!) - I used to do that when I was five lol!

I havent got any clue what I'm having sex-wise, everyone around me seems to know more than me - they think its a boy! I'm happy either way!

I'm not feeling tired at all lately, in fact my energy levels are at a high and my sex drive is thriving , DH is knackered!

I'm still off chocolate - not at all normal for me - but have got a bit of a thing for tooty frooties and pink shrimps!I know they're not good for me but I'm obsessed!

maybe one of you can answer a question for me - i am finding I need to drink loads, and while I mostly have water, sometimes I want something else(especially when out/dh is on th wine etc!)Is it better to have 'full fat' soft drinks ie-lots of sugar, or sugar-free- ie - lots of sweetener? I feel guilty for having the odd can of diet coke but feel equally guilty for having full fat lemonade.Wish i could just drop the guilt thing!

Great to hear all the good news re scans - only 1 1/2 weeks 2 go till mine.

Baby still moving around loads and last night started feeling proper kicks rather than just movements - DH felt them too which I was amazed at as with DS he couldn't feel anything till 23/4 weeks ish. Just hope this doesn't mean it's another big bruiser in there - DS was 9lb 9oz andfirst thing midwife said to me this time was "well you're odds on for a 10 pounder then!!"

We're off for 2nd viewings on 2 houses today so hopefully by the weekend could be on our way to moving!

Olivo, just drink what you fancy and try not to feel guilty! I drink a right old mixture, last night I had 1 half lager n lime, 1 J20 and 1 diet coke. Do you mean when your out or in the house? I am enjoying a glass of orange juice and glass of milk a most days, just trying to mix it to get different nutrients, not that lager has any?
Very [envious] of your DH feeling kicks KatyLou, think my DH is a bit fed up as I can feel loads at the moment but he hasnt felt a thing? Hopefully in next few weeks he should feel something.

It's when I 'm at homeas well as out. At work i drink water or cartons of frruit juice, i have milk in the morning but by evening, i'm bored of water! i guess will keep it in moderation and have what i fancy. had my first glass of wine last weekend and it was delicious - i hadnt fancied it till then!

ugh just the thought of a glass of wine makes me feel rough!! Was the same with DS - was determined to have one on xmas eve and it lasted from 7 till midnight because i kept topping it up with lemonade because couldn't drink it!!!

BHM - It'll happen soon enough and then if hes anyhting like me Dh will get fed up of it kicking him in the back when I cuddled p to him in bed at night! Well if it's keeping me awake surely it's only fair! Ds used to be at his most active at 3 am and funnily enough fro the first few weeks he used to wake up for one feed a night - always at 3 am!
