Happy mother's day everyone. I'm celebrating with a massage at 1pm, can't wait.
Anyone else got swollen ankles? Mine are very puffy by the end of the day--thought it was a bit early for that to happen, but can't rememebr when it started last time.

olivo · 26/03/2006 12:45

Morning! Happy Mother's Day to of you who are already Mum's! massage sounds good Arabica and probably just what you need after your stressful week.
No swollen ankles for me - touch wood Wink.

think I might have felt my first movement last night -it was like an airbuuble popping ,wasnt wind, nothing like anything I 've felt before. Is this possible - I'm only 18+3?

Arabica · 26/03/2006 12:53

Olivo, sounds like a baby movement to me! Please don't worry if you don't feel anything more for a few days or even a week--10 days.
I am looking forward to my massage, I wish I could stop burping and farting though! Had too much fizzy water and 2 glasses of champagne last night.

olivo · 26/03/2006 13:03

Thanks for that Arabica - I would have worried -I can't wait to feel it again though!
Hope you're not too windy at your massage Grin!
Enjoy it!

Nbg · 26/03/2006 13:20

Happy Mothers Day everyone Smile
Hope your enjoying your massage Arabica.

Am getting quite excited about my scan tomorrow. Told dh that as much as I respected his wishes about not finding out the sex, I was far too selfish not to know Grin
So I think it's safe to say I shall know by tomorrow afternoon what exactly is in there!
Yipee!!!

happy mothers day all

lucky you arabica, i'm saving the massage i was supposed to get for my birthday til i'm as big and fat as i'm gonna get!

nbg, do you have an inkling which it might be yet? i'm so convinced mines a boy i can't even begin to think of girls names!. it'd be funny if your baby was less than obliging and your dh got his way after all Wink good luck with the scan either way Smile

Nbg · 26/03/2006 13:32

I'm convinced it's a boy too. Purely because this pregnancy is so different to dd's but you never know!

It would be just my luck that the baby will turn it's back or something and we'll be able to see naff all!

Nope this is it after tomorrow.
Seems odd really that you won't get to see your baby for another 20 weeks!

I paid for a private scan at 28 weeks with dd to find out the sex.

I'm dreading drinking the 2 pints of water!

Have you got anymore scans now?

OP posts:
Arabica · 26/03/2006 19:50

Massage was glorious, luckily I didn't do anything anti-social! I even fell asleep at the end, and I'm so not a daytime sleeper. Still feel v relaxed even after spending the rest of the day in park followed by art gallery.
Good luck for everyone having scans. I do sympathise with the water NBG. At our hospital it isn't necessary, they must have a different scanner.
I am finding out tomorrow when I get another scanI think it's maybe at 26 weeks, because they will need to check that the brain cysts and echogenic bowel are still present (even though they apparently cause the baby no problems). So, that's one advantage of having had a dodgy scan resultyou get lots more chances to see the baby!

Nbg · 26/03/2006 20:07

Oooh that massge sounded lovely.
Am very Envy Grin

I wouldn't mind about drinking the water but they insist you be there 15 mins before your appt and at the 12 week scan I was 40 mins late in to my appt so I don't think my bladder could cope!

Been getting a few kicks today. Mostly when sat in a weird position so baby musn't like it.

Hi everyone,Hope your all well & Happy Mothers Day to all the moms. Smile

Fantastic results for you Arabica, I'm so pleased for you. Did you have a special pregnancy massage? Sounds heaven! I had swollen ankle few weeks ago due to my tight pointy shoes and sitting on a hard chair, felt quite sick looking at it, I was also thinking its too early, it went down next day though.

NBG good luck for your scan tomorrow! If you do find out the sex will you be the first to know on this thread about the sex? How exciting!

Sorry if tmi, but have experienced today a few sharp pains which made me jump a little, I felt it shoot from my vagina wall up to my stomach? Not sure what it is? Any ideas? Shock

noodlekitkat · 26/03/2006 20:44

Hi Everyone,

Just got a temp job so am just catching up now.

Ruth Lousie, I am so sorry. I am crying my eyes out I can't believe it. I am thinking of you and Mark.

Love
Nina

Nbg · 26/03/2006 20:47

BHM, sounds like stretching pains. I've been having them. Make you jump don't they?

I think there are a couple who know the sex of their babies.
I know Kitegirl found out she's having a boy at her 12 week scan! and I'm sure there was someone else...

OP posts:
Arabica · 26/03/2006 21:09

I also think it sounds like stretching pains. I had something similar a few days ago.
Have been researching swollen ankles. Advice is: keep active, don't stand around. But on the other hand, get plenty of rest with your feet up. Think I will just carry on as normal.
