MummyToToby · 01/04/2006 12:29

no BHM i haven't booked in.i didn't fancy them tbh. i'm only 17 and i figured everyone else would probably be loads older than me and also i'm not with the father anymore so I would have to alone and everyone else would probably be all coupley.if i thought it ws necessary to help my baby i would go, but they never had them in the "old days" and people managed!!going to go on a tour though. have you been on that yet?

PinkTulips · 01/04/2006 12:37

MTT, don't they have teen parent classes at your hospital? it would be one way to meet other young mums and you wouldn't be the only single mom there.

your probably right not to go to the general classes, i was 20 with dd, and even though i was with dp and he came with me to the classes i still felt quite excluded and we got alot of odd looks.

jay jay, after months of nagging me for sex my dp has now decided he's too freaked out to do it so it looks like my dreams are as close as i'm gonna get for a while! v.annoyed at him, he didn't have this with dd, but when i said that to him he just said 'well i know more now' ?????

MummyToToby · 01/04/2006 12:54

yes they do but guess what time they are - lunchtime!! i have college then. i asked my MW why they were at such stupid times and didn't they realise teens wouldn't be able to go then. her reply was most of the women who go wouldn't bother to carry on their education and probably wouldn't have a job either so the lunchtime thing wouldn't be an issue and TBH i don't think you'd fit in at these classes either.

PinkTulips · 01/04/2006 13:13

lovely! o well, your not missing much, buy a few preg magazines and a decent preg book and you'll have covered everything the classes do 10 times over! pity you won't get to meet other moms though, i still don't know many other moms in my area and none with kids my dd's age and it drives me mad.

aprilgirl1 · 01/04/2006 16:40

OK 20 + 6 DAYS AND OFFICALLY GOING CRACKERS

purpleturtle · 01/04/2006 17:02

IME it doesn't get better till you stop breastfeeding either! Commonly referred to as milkbrain among my friends - the inability to construct a sentence or to perform simple tasks. Smile

PinkTulips · 01/04/2006 21:21

i've been suffering from it for 2 years now! stood stirring the scrambled eggs in the pan for 15 mins yest without turning the hob on, put dd's rice cakes in the fridge, forgot to buy orange juice for dd every time i've been to the shop for the last month. dp is constantly ROFL at me wandering around like a headless chicken. it's all part of the joys of motherhood aprilgirl, i'd get used to it if i were you Wink

trix1 · 02/04/2006 13:17

Good Morning - how are you all, there is so much to catch up on when you have been away. Hope you are all well and starting to get the kicks!

im 20+6 now and over the last 3/4 days have started to feel the odd flutter so I am starting to feel better now. Ive got my scan on Thursday and Im so curious as to what we are having this time. Dont think we will find out though.

jayjaybaby · 02/04/2006 14:33

still havind weird random dreams either petrifying or incredibly erotic making my sleep pattern erratic but hey glad every one is ok

snic · 02/04/2006 20:17

hi all, hope you are all well. have been off line for about 6 weeks so ive missed loads. hope all your 20 week scans went well if youve had them, got mine on thursday and cant wait. felt baby kick for first time on mothers day which was really nice cause i'd had a bad day as dd had bad stomach bug.

lunavix · 02/04/2006 20:24

Hi everyone! Haven't posted for a while!

Had scan on weds, fortunately placenta isn't low but they have no idea as to bleeding. Ds also sat on bump and OWWWW it still hurts. I feel the size of a whale now, the bump came on suddenly and I'm huge.

The sonographer also thinks it's a girl :) She says she's 80% sure.

SnowBoo · 02/04/2006 21:38

Hi everyone!

Good to hear we are well. Measured my bump and it is now 10 sheets! Am officially in maternity clothes full time, even my pj's won't stretch over bump! But getting kicked a lot which is nice Grin

Got my baby growth scan on Tues so can't wait to see him again. Kind of hoping they won't sign me off til i've had this one, think i'll be having scan withdrawal if i miss my weekly date with sonographer.....

Anyone else finding themselves thinking did i dream that or did it happen? Such as buying a carton of fruit juice but not sure if you did and dh has drunk it or if you DREAMT you bought it???? I have officially gone mental....

PinkTulips · 02/04/2006 22:31

o god, i've started nesting already. went to tidy the sitting room today and rearranged everything and scoured the place down, all in the time it took dp to go to the shop Blush

i'll be like this for the next 4 months now, remember sitting on the floor of the bedroom at 2am last time crying because i was convinced they'd take my baby away if i didn't wash the skirting boards and my dp was trying to make me go to bed!

good news bout the placenta lunavix, do they have any idea at all now whats causing the bleeding? congrats on it being a girl too, your other child is a boy isn't it? you'll have one of each now!

jayjaybaby · 03/04/2006 03:25

hi peeps ive got insomnia due to being harrassed by job center they are drving me up the wall will be glad to get away for a week so idont get any hassle glad to know everyones scans are going well mines next monday so excited

BigHotMama · 03/04/2006 12:26

Morning everyone, have been feeling very rough over the weekend, think I ate a dodgy undercooked lasagne on Friday and it made me sick n poorly, was throwing up and had bad sh**s (sorry if tmi) all day, still dont feel 100% yet, my appetite has gone right out the window.

Have been getting around 20-30 kicks (sad I'm counting ha!) per day lately and DH felt his first kick so am chuffed! Some kicks are making me go shout 'ooh!', anybody else getting booted?

Congrats on your scans Pucca, Snic & Lunavix, and Good luck to Trix1 for yours.

MummytoToby, I havent done the tour yet as I'm sure its included in the classes, Let me know how you get on if you go on the tour before june. I feel the need to go to the classes as its my first baby and I'm too curious and nosey not to! Not sure what to expect though? I think its a shame that younger mums get frowned upon? You shouldnt be made to feel an outcast going on your own either, but I can fully understand where your coming from as I dont think I'd go on my own, I'd probably take a friend or comething.

My dreams are far too embarassingly rude and horny to discuss, wake up most days thinking WTF? Grin

SnowBoo · 03/04/2006 14:06

Talking of dreams....dreamt my friend had a gorgeous boyf but i was seeing him behind her back! Turned out at the end he was in fact my dh and had been pretending to be her boyf....
WTF????

melsy · 03/04/2006 17:37

hi all , sorry havent been in for some time , not been well at all (see thread on tracheitis). Still recovering and bloomin sky not working (they are supposedly updating it) today . I so need to just rest right now, Im so so exhausted & still quite giddy , so sitting in front of tv with dd is all thats on offer right now.

bhm , also getting randy dreamns!! lastnight was about my horrid xboss from years ago , bleurgh bluregh , makes me feel sick thinking about what we were doing in dreamland YUERACH creeepy creepy , feel all freaked thinking of it again!!

snowboo no what you mean about things seeming surreal. I have this not quite here feeling alot!!

Had my 20 wk scan , and apart from coughing all over sonographer and being deathly ill that day , baba is doing well. She measured baba 2 days ahead again , but still my edd is the same.

noodlekitkat · 03/04/2006 19:53

Hurrah we have some girl babies on the way now! I'm glad everyone has had good scans. I must be one of the last at next Tuesday? I was worried but now see the matter more fatalistically - not much I can do to change the outcome so am trying to be positive.

NBG: You need the interweb - this is 2006 - HELLO? But seriously... IMHO I think it is a really important part of life and whoever spends the most time at home should be the one to decide. I'll piss off with my cheeky, pushy opinions now... Blush

Arabica: I hope your back is getting better? Is it a muscle or disc problem?

BHM: I have blown up big time this week. I also have been in a state of non-stop hysterical anger. I am hoping that this from hormones and will subside soon otherwise I am going to need to fing some professional help. Is it legal to punch cyclists who ride on the pavement?

MummytoToby: You sound like a fine, intelligent young woman to me. I am pleased that you are not spending your lunchtime with people lacking aspiration. Maybe you could find some other young moms to be you like and start your own group? You could then maybe ask someone from the NCT/a midwife/a doula to speak to you every month? May work.

TMI: I had a dream I was having great sex with that bloke from the white stripes last week. No idea why I don't even fancy him?!

Nbg · 03/04/2006 20:07

Lol NKK Grin

There is a chance we may have it as I was going to do a bit of ebay trading which dh is all for so we shall see.

As for the randy dreams. I've had 3 in a week. One involving dh, one with Mark Owen from Take That, lol! and one with a boy I used to go to primary school with! Grin
What a larf!
