congrats babylily, was starting to think it was all boys!

is anyone else exploding in size? i've gone from 7 loo roll sheets to almost 9 in one week, WTF? if i'm this big now i can't even bare to think of august Shock

BigHotMama · 31/03/2006 09:43

Morning all , what a gorgeous day here! Feeling great had a much needed haircut last night and only paid £15 and its the DB's if I dont say so myself! Feel like a funky mum-to-be now!

Congrats Babylilly on your news, bet your well chuffed.

MummytoToby, my EDD is 7/8 and its my first Grin! Never know, if your late and I'm early may see you there...I'm booked in for parentcraft classes in June, have you booked in?

Welcome Ronniemummy, come and get stuck in!

Pinktulips, I just measured my bump and have grown to 10 sheets from 9.5, am I the biggest mama on here or what?

Good news on the house NBG, bet you feel like a weight's been lifted.

I got mega-stressed out last night as we live on the ground floor apartment in a 3-storey block. Our neighbours above are always clanging, banging and slamming doors, last night they were hoovering at 11.30pm, I was not amused and banged on the wall in a fury, it didnt stop so DH got out of bed and went up to their door and told them politely to shut up, it went very very quiet afterwards..couldnt sleep then for a good hour as my heart was pounding so fast felt like it was gonna burst, baba must've been annoyed as started kicking! Hopefully they got the message! Thing is, she left for work at 5.20am this morning so I'm starting to think we have vampires living above us, they dont seem to sleep??? (Sorry for long post x)

Hope everyone is feeling ok........Smile

Nbg · 31/03/2006 10:31

Hi everyone!
Welcome Ronniemummy Smile

Is anyone else getting any Braxton Hicks yet? I've been having a few and I forgot how uncomfortable they can be. I find myself having to sit down with some of them as they take my breath away.

Still no movement on the internet connection front!!! Although dh said that once our mobile phone contracts finish in december we will get it Sad So I'll have to find an internet cafe to catch up on all the gossip!

olivo · 31/03/2006 10:47

Morning! have woken up with a stinking cold - not impressed! but better now than next wee as it's nearly the school holidays and we're going away! Can't wait to feel the sun on my face! Smile

Scan a week today ,nervous as hell! think I felt my seocnd movement last night - took me by surprise but was reassuring!

nbg - we'll have to think of a way of convincing mr nbg that the internet is a necessity! it is, isnt it?Grin

Got a bit annoyed last night when some trousers and some shorts arrived from blooming marvellous and dh laughed at them - i'm not sure how many times i need to point out that they are big to leave room for the baby to grow, and that I'm not a size ten anymore (havent been for years actually but he doesnt need to know that Wink). Will i get to the blooming bit one day?

olivo · 31/03/2006 12:17

oops- next weeK I meant - I'm not really obsessed with bodily functions!Grin

SnowBoo · 31/03/2006 13:35

Oh i notice we have a girl on the list!! At this rate she'll have the pick of the bunch!!

Arabica · 31/03/2006 13:54

Hi everyone, 85 year-old Arabica here. I'm bent over like a clothes peg with my bad back! Am thinking of asking the pharmacist if there's anything stronger I can have without a prescription.

moondog · 31/03/2006 13:55

A...go and see a physio,osteopath or chiropractor.
Don't bugger about with drugs.
I had a bad back throughout pg and beyond and an osteo and physio really helped me.
Take care
XX

Nbg · 31/03/2006 13:57

The physio is doing wonders for me Arabica and I've only been 3 times.

OP posts:
jayjaybaby · 31/03/2006 14:58

hi glad every one is well nothing to say really good newa about the house nbg
im off to peterborough next week to look after my six year old cousin so that will be interesting an no internet access for a week so that willbe hard but will be nice to spend time with maxx cant wait neither can dh as he will have bed to hims elf for once Grin

purpleturtle · 31/03/2006 15:49

Envy of you nbg - you've seen the physio 3 times! My appointment is another 4 weeks away, and I've lost the letter with the time on it. Angry I thought I'd ring and see if they had any cancellations, but unless I find the number I'll be waiting for the midwife to come on Tuesday with her big black book of useful info!

My friend found out yesterday that she's having a girl. She had a ds when I had dd, and a dd when I had ds, so I wonder whether we'll both get girls this time, or whether this wriggler is a boy. just another 20+weeks till I find out. Smile

Nbg · 31/03/2006 16:39

Tis pretty good isn't it PT?
I was really suprised when they gave me the appt. I didn't even have to wait for a letter, the midwife just called and booked it.
I get an appt every week and the lady I see is lovely.

Am a bit concerned things will change though when I move.

Nbg · 31/03/2006 16:50

Ruthlouise sends her love to you all.

OP posts:
Arabica · 31/03/2006 17:14

I have got a chiropractor and will be seeing him next week when I get paid! I can also get a physio referral if I want one. However, this is a recurring problem, so I know it will be at its worst today and by Monday I will be much more mobile.
Baby's really kicking around as I type. Must be the packet of M&Ms I just ate.

pucca · 31/03/2006 17:44

Well my hunch was right, i am having a boy! seen his "bits" all is well, but my date has changed, they said on my 12 week scan they were changing my date and wanted to confirm at this scan, so EDD is 20th Aug now instead.

PinkTulips · 31/03/2006 17:58

congrats pucca! wow, so many boys on this thread now, babylily's girl is going to be so outnumbered!

nbg- i forgot to congratulate you on the house sale, do you know when your moving yet?

poor arabica, hope your getting plenty of opportunity to put your feet up, try lying against a warm hot water bottle to loosen up the muscles, not as good as painkillers but at least it takes the edge off.

Nbg · 31/03/2006 18:37

Yey Pucca! Grin
Another boy!!!

Will update the list.

Congratulations Pucca! So many boys, so little time...

PinkTulips · 31/03/2006 22:23

this is going to be way TMI for you all, but i'm sooooo HORNY, terrified of having sex though coz of the bleeding from the smear. spent all night last night having the most explicit sex dreams and it's been getting worse all day, AARRGGHH!!!

sorry i'm done, just needed to vent!

SnowBoo · 31/03/2006 22:54

God i'm the total opposite! Have apologised to dh for not even giving him a treat Blush but i don't think my polka dot XL granny jamas are doing it for him anyway....! And if they do, he's divorced!!!!

Got my scan Tues and getting excited. Haven't seen baby for two whole weeks....

And made ds's day today. Ordered a jean jacket off Next sale and got identical one for baby so he is over the moon! Keeps hugging and kissing my tummy....

Nbg · 31/03/2006 22:59

Get to it PT Grin
Enjoy it before you have a screaming newborn disturbing you!

Lol at Snowboo's sexy PJ's Grin

Would be nice if dd got excited about the baby. She keeps saying she doesn't want one!

OP posts:
SnowBoo · 31/03/2006 23:08

If i was having a girl i was told we would have to send her back.
'We need another boy mummy'
'But what if its a girl sweetheart?'
'You will have to send her back and buy a boy!'

The logic of a 3yo....
