Tons different, mainly physically. I don't feel pregnant at all.

With dd I started with the morning sickness, that subsided about 12 weeks, I then had passing out do's from then till about 20 ish weeks, then my bad back started. So all in all not great and I didn't enjoy it at all.

Am loving being pg atm Smile

What makes you think your having a boy?

pucca · 28/03/2006 23:29

With my dd..Was really sick and vomited ALOT up until 16 weeks, was very emotional from start to finish lol.Had a hunch it was a girl, had a name picked for girl but not boy.

This one...have felt sick but not been sick iykwim, been running round on a mission since before finding out lol, got the hunch again but think its a boy, and have a boys name but no girls name.

We will see if i am right on Friday Wink

Just wanted to say to those of you not feeling movement yet, in the space of 7 days max I have gone from starting to feel proper kicks to yesterday actually seeing my stomach move.

So it just proves how quick things start to happen!

hi all see Trib came to give you the low down on our stats page. Hope you get one up and running soon.

oh just for interest \link{http://www.childbirth.org/articles/boyorgirl.html\boy or girl?}

BabiesEverywhere · 29/03/2006 09:21

I could do a web page with stats if you would like me too, I have my own web space ?

SnowBoo · 29/03/2006 12:17

God, just looked at the bump chart thingy, i'm the same as a 30weeker! Won't be able to move soon....Anyone know where you get an industrial hoist from?? Smile

SnowBoo · 29/03/2006 12:20

Just done katz boy/girl thing. Reckons i'm having a girl....Better tell my boy bump he's giving all the wrong signals!

Arabica · 29/03/2006 12:48

I look 26 weeks! But the woman on the website is one of those people who has only got a pregnant bump. Some of us have pregnant thighs, bum, arms and boobs!
Oh and according to the test I have a 60% chance of a girl, but am sure I did the same test earlier on in my pregnancy and it was a boy!
Loo paper test this week: 8.5 squares.

jayjaybaby · 29/03/2006 13:22

im having a girl by 65% so who Knows have been told by five people im having a girl and by three people im having a boy i'll no for definite by the 10th yippee

jayjaybaby · 29/03/2006 13:26

i look about 26 weeks so dont feel so huge now

Eve2005 · 29/03/2006 15:01

i look 28 weeks, and i'm having a girl apparently! although for a few of those q's the answers i would have given when preg with dd indicated a boy so i must be back to front!

had my booking in today, looks like i'm going to have to follow my own advice aprilgirl as doctor announced right at the end 'oh by the way, your scan picked up a low lying placenta again so if you notice any bleeding come straight in. it's ok though 8/10 move by themselves' when i asked him when i'd have the scan to check if it has moved he said 'oh, whether you have one is really up to the consultant, they don't tend to offer it unless there's been bleeding' AngryWTF? if they think i won't march myself straight to that scan roon at 33 weeks and demand they check, they better think again!

i was also informed that i'd had one live birth and one miscarraige previously, 'um... no. just one live birth'. 'oh we have a miscarraige forlder here for you?' turns out the doctor who first saw me when preg with dd was so convinced i'd had a miscarraige she never even bothered to get my scan results, just wrote it up as one! there's optimism for you!

one top of all that they insisted i have a smear test and now i'm bleeding Angry the doctor who did it was lovely but didn't have great english bless him, so i'm not sure whether he said that was normal, or whether he'd gone a bit too far by accident. does anyone know?

Arabica · 29/03/2006 15:06

I was supposed to go to an exercise class at 2pm but when I bent down to get my trainers out of the cupboard, something 'went' in my back--it's not the disc, because the pains aren't nearly bad enough, but it's still very sore. Have now got an ice-pack tucked in the back of my pants! Have done this to myself loads of times and it's going to be a good 3-5 days before it clears up.

olivo · 29/03/2006 15:41

OMG - according to nbg's link - I look 26 weeeks - i'm only nearly 19wks! Shock
I WILL stop eating so many tooty fruities, pink shrimps, sour skittles...etc..etc

purpleturtle · 29/03/2006 17:04

According to that link it's 43% boy, 56% girl. Pretty close to right either way!

BabiesEverywhere - if you can do a page, why not have a go when you get chance. I understand (sort of) how it works, but I don't think I'll be able to do it. How's your work situation?

jayjaybaby · 29/03/2006 18:07

eve oh my god Shock hope you are ok i dont know if this is normal can you not ring your ante natal clinic and explain and see what they say i hope everything will be fine

noodlekitkat · 29/03/2006 18:37

Eve2005 - sounds like you are getting grief from the meds, not very good...

i have had bleeding from a smear before, but as you are preg probably worth reporting it to your GP or midwife. Or phone NHS direct for an opinion.

noodlekitkat · 29/03/2006 18:40

I'm glad you are all enjoying the pregnant swedish lady! Week 42 looks a bit worrying.....

I think my back may snap before then? Has anyone used a back brace/belt thingy before in a previous pregnancy?

purpleturtle · 29/03/2006 18:45

My elastic belt is my best friend. (Not!) Darned scratchy and uncomfortable, but it does help a bit, I think. I think it makes my bump look bigger too (turtle vainly tries to account for her enormous girth)

Eve2005 · 29/03/2006 18:58

bleedings stopped and baby is moving tonnes so i reckon it's all ok. god what i'd give for just one normal hospital visit!

ouch arabica, do you have someone that can help out with your kid while your back heals?

noodlekitkat · 29/03/2006 19:10

Glad you are feeling better Eve. How stressful :-(

So you don't strongly recommend the belt you use PT? I have a prolapsed disc so feel I should invest in something soon....

Speaking of shopping I have just been spying on aprilgirl1 - she is sorting out all her baby shopping on another thread!

Blimey, I'm impressed.....

purpleturtle · 29/03/2006 19:16

Don't go by my opinion. I'm just grumpy. Due to back pain! And I'm a bit cautious about recommending stuff in case you hate it and, by extension, me. Rational pregnant thinker, you see. Wink

I sometimes wear the belt all day, and sometimes I don't wear it at all. Some days my back is okay, most days it's pretty awful. I can't correlate belt use to pain relief in any useful way. Hence my disdain for the belt.

I'm sure there were others who've made use of them before. Hopefully, someone helpful will turn up soon. Smile

noodlekitkat · 29/03/2006 19:22

purpleturtle - I long to be a rational pregnant lady. I salute you!

Maybe I should post a general thread about this? My other health complaints are:

wind - LOTS of it

nipple pain - how will I be able to breast feed when my nipples are painful NOW? Oh dear,,,

vacuousness - walking into traffic, forgetting stuff....

SnowBoo · 29/03/2006 19:40

Oh gosh, if i listed my aches and pains i'd be here til i gave birth!
Wind..something dh seems to have. Says its my fault as its a sympathy thing. NO ITS NOT! ITS A MAN THING! Even ds woke up heaving from it. TMI?

noodlekitkat · 29/03/2006 19:44

Ok what doesn't hurt SnowBoo?

Ladies have wind as well - honest!
