o god, as if you haven't got enough to think about arabica, are you going to go for it?

purpleturtle · 28/03/2006 12:35

\link{http://www.phancy.plus.com/Junies.htm\this} is the page it linked to - just in case it helps anyone to work out how it's done. I haven't a clue! LOL

Would this be ok?
All we need do is copy and paste for those finding out.

I think dh have a agreed on a name Shock
Beau (pronounced Bo)
I've always liked it but never menioned it thinking dh would hate it. He said he was reading through the name book after I had gone to bed and went back to look at the B's (we skipped them as our surname begins with B).
Very excited!

Also things are looking rosy with the house again, both ours and the one we want. Won't say too much but we should know by the end of the day if ours is sold and we have bought the new one!
Only thing is dh is talking about not having internet when we move Shock NIGHTMARE!!!

Ruth, I understand you leaving us. You have done well posting up till now. Wish you all the best and hope to see your BFP announcement soon Smile

went for scan yesterday decided not to find out what it was, although sure i saw a todger!!! convinced its a boy!!
also found out that i have a low lying placenta and they dont think it will move so looks like i could be in for a c section.. dunno how i feel about that!!
anyone else got this?
so feeling great about the scan and the scan photos are really lovely and clear but worried about this low lying placenta????

Act · 28/03/2006 16:19

aprilgirl there is a thread about low-lying placentas \link{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk?topicid=49&threadid=158572&stamp=060326224911\here}

Act · 28/03/2006 16:26

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't posted for a while. I've been following and Arabica was so pleased for you that your amnio results were clear.

I had my scan on friday but had to wait 1 1/4 hours before they saw me! I was really wound up by the time I went in. Fortunately it was all normal, but it was very quick and not very reassuring. I had built up a lot more anxiety about it than i thought - not helped by the wait.

latest in the my-body-as-science-experiment experience - my left boob leaked while i was reading in bed last night! i suppose this isn't too wierd right?? it's really hurting today but maybe 'cos i keep poking to see if it will do it again!

Act · 28/03/2006 16:29

forgot to say - we didn't ask to find out the sex

BigHotMama · 28/03/2006 16:47

Great news on the scan Act, lol at you poking your boobs! I havent had any leaks yet but do keep checking. It will probably happen to me at work knowing my luck!
Isnt it mad how we all get so many different pg symptoms from each other? I've been having some more sharp stretching pains today and am getting heartburn quite often too. Other than that feeling great!
NBG I think Beau is lovely name, its very unusual but a really strong name, cant shorten it either which is always good!
Aprilgirl, hope your not worrying too much, I've just read the thread on low-lying placenta's as dont really known much about it myself, it sounds like quite a common thing? Good to hear baby is doing well though, and lucky you seeing his todger! I couldnt see a damn thing at mine!

Lunavix, good luck for your scan tomorrow! Smile

katzg · 28/03/2006 17:25

purpleturle - will asked how it was done and send them in your direction to tell you!

Arabica · 28/03/2006 19:31

Haven't they just linked to a page on their own website?

tribpot · 28/03/2006 19:33

Hi August ladies,

The stats page is my own creation, precisely to stop all the copying and pasting each time there's a change (and come August, there will be many changes) and also it doesn't take up so much space in the thread for busy people speed-reading.

Any-hoo, what it was was: an Excel spreadsheet nicely formatted with gridlines and so on (but Word would do just as well. Then saved as an HTML file (easy peasy, just File->Save As) and then (slightly complicated bit) uploaded to my webspace.

If anyone fancies doing that, I'm happy to talk it through for them off-board. If someone wants to maintain a spreadsheet and then I'll do the uploading that's okay too - I guess you'll be having some updates over the coming weeks and then a flurry in August. I managed to do ours in June after having my own ds so I ought to be able to find a few mins to do yours!

Nbg · 28/03/2006 19:56

Hi Tribot,
I'd offer to do it but there is a chance we may not have internet connection when we move so it would be a total waste of time.

Oh an did I mention girlys.......

WE'VE SOL OUR HOUSE AND BEEN ACCEPTED ON THE COTTAGE Grin!!!

Been a good 2 days!

Hello All, sorry for not posting for a while.

Ruth so sorry to read about your loss.

Arabica - delighted with your results what a relief.

Im now 20 weeks today and still no movements, although I look like im growing by the day, I have my 20 week scan next week at 21 weeks. We are not going to find out the sex although I think its a boy.

Does anyone else feel like they are going to burst at the minute - what will I be like in 10 weeks time?

Looks like we don't have any girls yet?

noodlekitkat · 28/03/2006 21:15

I could make a web page but I don't have a hosting space ... Sad

Eve2005 · 28/03/2006 22:21

aprigirl, i had a low-lying placenta at this stage with dd and it moved up of it's own accord. i had my dp do the tummy massages in the Gowri Motha book 'the natural birth method' as well, no idea if that helped but it definitely felt good and the placenta had moved when they checked again at around 36 weeks. hope it does for you tooSmile

noodlekitkat · 28/03/2006 23:13

aprilgirl:

babyworld seems to think that the placenta is likely to move:

'As many as one in four placentas may be low-lying in mid-pregnancy. The likelihood is that as your womb gets bigger, the placenta will move up (it doesn’t actually ‘move’ as such, but as the womb grows, the area to which the placenta is attached stretches upwards, away from the cervix). If your placenta is shown to be low-lying in mid-pregnancy, you’re likely to be offered another scan later on (usually around 32-34 weeks) to check that it has moved. Only 0.5 per cent -1 per cent of placentas remain low-lying at the end of pregnancy.'

I have my scan on Friday, and have been convinced this one is a boy Smile
