Nice to know birthday already kissy! I tried to book a ferry crossing for our summer holiday next year last night. Got as far as the point when you have to enter the name and DOB of each passenger and couldn't do passenger #4! Need to phone them and see what can do. I told DH we might just have to settle on a name now Wink!

ValiumQueen · 10/09/2012 18:13

kissy that is my Mothers and my Brothers birthday! Is that at 39 weeks? I have my growth scan next week. Looking forward to seeing baby again.

DH drove the car four times today, with me next to him obviously. His instructor says he can put in for his test soon so hopefully he will pass before I deliver. It has been pretty nerve wracking, but I am getting more confident in his ability, and he is getting used to the car too. I am a bad passenger at the best of times, but add two small children and a large belly dweller and I am even worse. Still, we all survived.

DesperateHousewife21 · 10/09/2012 18:25

kissy it's also my dads birthday! The 15th is obv v popular!

Someone who has recently had her second baby asked me my due date and when I said she replied 'aw that's still ages away' Hmm yeah thanks for that, it's actually only 10 weeks which will fly by because I've got so much preparing and events happening. Someone else backed me up and said its not that long really.
This person is annoying though and likes to feel superior all the time.

WaitingForMe · 10/09/2012 18:32

So DH decided to do something positive - do the couch to 5k challenge. Obviously I was delighted he was being proactive during this redundancy stuff.

One torn ATFL later and we've had a trip to A&E and despite cancelling a meeting due to PGP pain I've been running around sorting his ice packs (he just needs one day elevating in so I figure I care for him to get him back on his feet so he can resume caring for me).

We are a most pathetic household today Sad

TitsalinaBumSquash · 10/09/2012 18:37

Argh how exciting Kissy! I would chew my own arm off right now to have a guaranteed date, it's the not knowing and uncertainty that does me in, sadly
I'm not having a c section or induction as of yet so I'll have to wait.

Very Angry at the amount of people saying "oh 10 more weeks of growing! Ouch!" I'm mostly bump, it's not like I've got big everywhere else, it makes me somewhat stabby that people need to reconfirm how chuffing uncomfortable I am.
DP was looking at pictures today from the beginning of the year and proclaimed "look Tits, it's you when you had a figure and stuff..." Angry he backtracked very quickly. I'll make him pay later

daisychain76 · 10/09/2012 18:39

jaylee are you sure about the 2%? That sounds very high to me. I think pretty much everyone worries and it is normal (but knowing that doesn't make it easier to stop!).

MissMummy1 · 10/09/2012 18:54

FAB news yw !!! Do you think you will move down before nov? And get to use all those vic hospital toys facilities on b-day??

TitsalinaBumSquash · 10/09/2012 18:56

nervous I'd love a copy of the Nutella bread recipe if you don't mind sharing? Smile

Passmethecrisps · 10/09/2012 19:11

Evening ladies.

Deep beaths horsey!

Sounds like pregnancy is getting to us all in some way this week - pains, illness and night time fears. I really hope we can all get some peace soon.

Great news on the house YW. Fingers crossed the conveyancing should be faster than normal.

We ordered our car seat and base yesterday. Did I already mention that? I get muddle about what I have already mentioned.

I have had a bit of an off day today. Easily wound up really. Nothing to it just tired I think. I have had a shower and am planning to take myself off to bed to watch Dr Who and Midwives from last week.

I found it almost impossible to put socks on and tie my laces yesterday. Is anyone else like this? I just felt it was too early to be that immobile. Oh well . . .

kissy a specific date is very exciting!

kissyfur · 10/09/2012 19:30

Blimey it is a popular date Grin v exciting! yes VQ that's at 39 weeks, I'll be 39+4 to be exact

lane I'm having a growth scan at 32 weeks because of them wanting to put me on the beta blockers, think they just check size at 32 weeks then I'll have another one at 36 weeks to see progress. You only have them if they have a cause to be concerned about the baby's growth

DesperateHousewife21 · 10/09/2012 19:38

lane I've got a growth scan next mon and another one in oct. so far the scans have been fine but they are monitoring her a bit closer because one of the hormones the placenta produces is low for me.
It's really nice having extra scans and def breaks up the third tri a bit!

YellowWellies · 10/09/2012 19:47

15th November is basically 40 weeks after Valentines Day! Hehhehehehe.

Oh no horsey - that doesn't sound good. May yoga work it's magic

xxx

mcsquared · 10/09/2012 19:55

Hello everyone!

Horseylady - hope you've managed to calm down, sounds stressful!

I feel achey today. And itchy. And walking makes me feels like I need a wee.

Was such a lovely weekend. In-laws were away Sunday so we had some time alone. Spent the weekend washing baby things and watching pregnancy related movies! Watched Knocked Up and What to Expect When You're Expecting. I think they made my husband feel a little soppy. He seems like he wants the baby here now and looks so ready to be a dad. I'm glad he is, because I'm not ready for motherhood yet!

ShellyBobbs · 10/09/2012 20:14

YW I'm due on the 14th, but it was the wine and not the romance I can assure you Grin

kirrinIsland · 10/09/2012 20:26

Congrats on the house YW

And congrats on having an actual due date kissy rather than a best guess like the rest of us!

passme I am also struggling to do socks etc, in fact anything that involves bending or getting down low is almost impossible. I also thought it was a bit early for that!

applepieinthesky · 10/09/2012 20:29

How exciting kissy you know what date you will meet your baby. I'm jealous. Being due on the 16th means I could realistically have mine anytime in November.

Dixie I'm sure if you call them they should be able to sort it for you. We've booked a holiday to Ibiza for next May and baby is known to Thomas Cook as Infant X Surname. We just have to call them back when he's here with D.O.B and first name.

ValiumQueen · 10/09/2012 20:32

I am having an extra scan as I am very old. And fat. And have huge babies.

horseylady · 10/09/2012 20:49

I barely see my mw lol!!!!

No extra scans booked!!

Yoga ok was will go next week if just for moving around more and seeing people with bumps lol!! The breathing etc was ok but I think my mind frame was too cynical this evening!! Plus all the people due in November left without doing the social thing apart from one girl who seemed nice!!

Right off to see if we can do anything for fil!!! Doubt it highly but.....

YellowWellies · 10/09/2012 21:14

MM1 we'll know when we're moving when we get to the closing date and get to open the offers - as folks have to include in their offers their proposed move in date. So we won't know until the 20th September at 4pm. Eeekkkkk. We have got the offer of a pal's 3 bed flat in Kirkcaldy if we don't find somewhere in time so that's a good back up if there's no room at the inn.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 10/09/2012 21:43

I'm having quite regular scans but it's due to the Fragmin i'm on and the fact that I have had 2 particularly difficult pregnancies, although they keep the ultrasound machine in the consultants room do she does it all at once. Smile

I simply have to do something tomorrow, I've slept all day, I have no plans so it is likely to be house work but I cannot have another day of lounging on my bed. Blush

DesperateHousewife21 · 11/09/2012 06:55

30 weeks today :)

People are starting to ask how long I have left rather than how many weeks I am so it's starting to feel closer.
I've started writing my hospital bag list too, I didn't really plan it properly last time so ended up not having everything I wanted.

Thechick · 11/09/2012 07:02

kissy that's dh's birthday!!

I'm having a 32 wk scan but that's part of the normal routine checks for midwives connected to my hospital. But I did have one a 28 weeks because of a low hormone, which I found out was a mistake.

Iheartpasties · 11/09/2012 08:13

Hi everyone,

I'm so stressed out today - for no particular reason. So annoying!!
