stunt thanks, I have just sent a link to my mum and asked her to buy that pump and post it out to me :)

My dh has just come home from the supermarket with Ribena! Whoop! Lush, I havent had any in years and years, you dont seem to see it much over here.

Sorry that a couple of you are having stresses at the moment, I think it is to be expected with the hormones and whatnot that come with a new baby.

I missed out on the pram I wanted today on ebay, but there will hopefully be another on there soon.

Kissy Regarding sibling jealousy, just don't make a big deal out of it. I've now got 3 and each baby has bought the other(s) a small present and I've just involved them with it, i.e. helping to change nappies, dress it, play with it. And just lots of praise for all their 'help' (you will want to rip your hair out with the help you get sometimes :)). There is a 22 month gap between 1 and 2 and a 2.5 gap with 2 and 3 so they were quite young. Now they are all much older and are so close, the looking after each other thing carried on naturally and really are very, very close.

Feeling like poo again today, I don't think the antibiotics have cleared up my water infection :( Very, very tired also and just generally feeling like a massive heffer :)

Not budging off the settee today and thank goodness I don't have to worry about going in work this week as my sick note doesn't run out until next Monday.

daisychain76 · 10/09/2012 12:19

Feeling a bit jealous of all this talk of baby showers - isn't something any of my friends/family do (or anyone where I live at all)!

Re feeding at night - I always sit on the edge of the bed and have the radio on some sort of phone-in station to keep me awake.

Have had so many people now comment on how big I am, look ready to give birth now, etc, feel like kicking someone!

NervousAt20 · 10/09/2012 12:44

I hate meal planning! Ask DP what he wants and he replys whatever you want to make the shock of me saying nothing and actually making nothing is starting to wear off Sad I love cooking but were both quite fussy eaters so it's a nightmare trying to find something that suits is both

NervousAt20 · 10/09/2012 13:00

In case anyone is interested, Argos have a half price baby event on at the minute

pasties yep that's the pump I have and loved! X

Brockle · 10/09/2012 13:33

Signed off sick due to PGP and had a meltdown on the phone to HR dept. I am so bloody emotional at the moment I hate it. I called one of my bosses to give them a heads up and despite being pregnant herself she then went on about how careful I should be about going on sick because work can make me go on maternity leave early if I am ill. (they can but only if I am ill from 36 weeks onwards). I am not sure what she expects me to do. HR were lovely and told me to rest and forget about work for two weeks but I am still sat here in tears.

Bath and Dallas I think.

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 10/09/2012 14:06

Sorry to hear you've had to be signed off brockle. How many weeks are you now? I've been off sick for a while now and knew when I was signed off that I wouldn't be back as PGP was likely to get worse. It has and I'm in agony now so I sympathise. When was your mat leave due to start? Would it be that problematic having to start it at 36 weeks?

Brockle · 10/09/2012 14:44

30 weeks and I am off on annual leave from 35 plus 3 so just hoping I can take the next two weeks off and go back for the last few weeks on reduced days. Not sure that is going to happen though! I really don't want to push my dates back so I have more time afterwards. Just angry that my boss would put pressure on me when she is pregnant herself. I need to pull myself together and have a thicker skin!

applepieinthesky · 10/09/2012 15:14

You're right brockle It's wrong of your boss to put you under pressure. If you can't work, you can't work. It's as simple as that.

I'm pretty sure my baby is transverse and having googled it I'm now worried. Apparently they should be breech from 29-30 weeks? I'm now 30+3. Am I right to be concerned or is it still too early?

DesperateHousewife21 · 10/09/2012 15:21

They should be breech? This baby has never been breech! She's always been transverse and now she's sort of head down but curls round to the left so not straight up.

applepieinthesky · 10/09/2012 15:25

Yeh on that spinning babies website someone linked to it says that they should be head down or at least breech by 29-30 weeks but I can feel that baby is lying across me.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 10/09/2012 15:53

One of the ladies at the school has a tiny bump, like half the size of mine tiny. She was due on SATURDAY! Hmm
I've had a day of people assuming I must be ready to drop.
I've been asleep most the day, I'm finding it hard to breathe very well.

Evilwater · 10/09/2012 16:00

Hello everyone.
I've done my last working shift. Id manged to hurt my back, and its only now stopped being painful. Well it's a bit achey. Of course the shifts were busy, and we should have had another member of staff for manual handling. But hay, there is a reassertion on!

I'm so glad, I'm done at work else now I would have to go sick.
Fish and chips tonight, as I'm resting my back as much as possiable.

I'm going to read back on the posts.
Evil

applepieinthesky · 10/09/2012 16:05

I struggle to breathe sometimes as well Tits especially when I lay down on my back. I was shopping in Mothercare about 2 weeks ago and I signed up to receive some information on their portrait service. The woman who took down my details asked me if I was due in a couple of weeks Hmm If my mum and DP hadn't have been with me I think I would have burst into tears. I didn't think I look that big but perhaps I am. According to the weight gain calculator I should put on between 6.8-11.3kg. So far I think I've put on around 8.4. It is nearly all around the middle though, my arms and legs are still the same size thank god.

ShellyBobbs · 10/09/2012 16:11

Don't worry about your babies position, at 33 weeks they should start to turn to head down and start to engage if it's your first, but don't worry if not. Have a read of this for tips of how to get your baby into position. Mine has been head down for a few weeks but I think that the reason is because I'm ALWAYS stood up walking about.

Lane I know exactly what you mean, mine has been head down for ages, but I felt it spin round to head up for a day then back round. I felt really sick and weird when it moved round but it was a relief that way round as there wasn't as much pressure.

Brockle She is a knob, I bet you are ahead of her!

Lots of pressure down below today along with a bum right under my bust pushing up, has also been battering my ribs. Roll on November, I'm ready to meet my little baby.

jaylee89 · 10/09/2012 16:35

evening ladies,

have had a chilled day today really, keep feeling as though baba is kicking right into my foo and is going to pop my waters which is freaking me out.

about the subject of dying during birth i can completely relate i have been having this thought alot lately. and it scares the living shit out of me if im honest! to the point where i can feel myself welling up where im so scared.

i think the percent of this happening is 2% but then again im am not the luckiest person in the world please god dont let this happen to any of us
is it normal to worry about this?? i know i didnt with DD but ive been very emotional and anxious during this pregnancy.

anyone having weird cravings? mine is marmite on crumpets Confused how strange lol!

FatimaLovesBread · 10/09/2012 16:36

afternoon everyone!
Finally caught up on the thread.

I've been feeling horrendous today. Baby is v uncomfortable, it feels very heavy and low and it seems to have made my SPD in my sacrum and hips move round to the front. My fanny bone really aches (for want of a better description) Grin
But then the legs (i presume) keep sticking under my ribs.
I'm also absolutely shattered. I finished work at one and thought I'd get some housework done, instead I've just say reading mumsnet. I have managed to unpack our suitcase from the weekend and put a load of washing on but that took a massive effort.
Does anybody else get a bit fed up? I'm so used to doing things myself and not relying on anyone and now I struggle to load the dishwasher. It gets me frustrated AngrySad

Luckily I have a short week, I have a flexi day off on Wednesday and Friday as a days holiday so I should be able to cope. Quite excited about Friday, I'm going to work with a friend who works on a tv program, hoping to meet some hot actors Wink

Last week I decided to treat myself before the wedding this weekend. I can't paint my toe nails anymore so I had then minxed and shellac on my finger nails. Looks good, although sitting on the bed having my toe nails done for an hour killed my pelvis.

Who was it that asked about the cabriofix? We researched both that and the pebble and decided the pebble had no clear advantage to warrent the extra cost. We got the Easyfix base rather than the Familyfix as we probably won't get the pearl at group 1. We orders ours off boots too and got 3400 points from the seat and base plus with a voucher got the seat for £84!

kissyfur · 10/09/2012 16:38

Thanks to those of you who offered advice about siblings Smile I'm hoping my DD will just want to help me a lot, she has already said she is going to which is nice!

Had the day off today as had a appt at the obs/cardiac clinic. The cardiac consultant wants me to go on beta blockers because of the palpitations I've been having (due to the leaky valve!). Bit Hmm about taking them really as I have only had palpitations a few times and they haven't made me feel ill or anything. I worry that they will affect the babies growth. I know they would only give them to you if you need them but still. She said they would lower my BP and "could make the rest of the pregnancy easier" Confused Need to do a bit of research around it all I suppose. They are sending me for a growth scan at 32 weeks as well. I totally sympathise with you about the worrying in the small hours VQ all this talk about my heart has made me feel the same.

On a more positive note I got my c section date booked today - 15th November Grin

YellowWellies · 10/09/2012 16:47

I'm 30 weeks today and junior still moves around a fair old bit. As Shelly says if I'm doing a lot of walking then they turn head down and even engage very quickly - lazy days where I'm on the couch or just walking as far as the car - then baby is all over the shop and rarely head down. If you're worried go out for a walk (if you can! apologies to those suffering with PGP). Have been out for a walk with DH this afternoon and now someone's head is pressing on my bladder and cervix grrr.

Woo good news - our house has been on the market less than a fortnight and after a flurry of viewings (9! and 4 second viewings!) we've been advised by the agent to go to closing (sealed best and final offer bids for those not in the know of the Scottish system) a week on Thursday. Whoop am so chuffed. Fingers crossed we get a good offer that gives us plenty of equity for our next step when we move south (though we're going into rented first as our target market is falling so quickly, like 2-3k a month we don't want to end up in NE so we're going to watch from the sidelines).

Proof that even in a bad market - you can get interested buyers (and fingers crossed a sale).... if you don't get greedy and set a daft price. Mortgage drought my arse - too high prices (due to five years of irresponsible lending) so that prices are now totally out of touch with wages - that seems to be the real problem at the moment in the UK.

YellowWellies · 10/09/2012 16:49

So have just realised the house will be closing less than 2 months before my due date - which brings the move right in line with junior's arrival (if normal Orcadian conveyancing occurs). Arse biscuits....

NervousAt20 · 10/09/2012 17:21

Wow kissy exciting that you have an actual date to count down too

yellow hopefully everything goes through on your sale without a hitch and you can move and hopefully settle a bit in somewhere new before LO arrives!

Debating if I can be bothered should make some nutella bread?! Saw it online and looks yum!

StuntNun · 10/09/2012 17:38

Kissy your baby has a birthday already!
