Hi All,

Sorry for being rubbish and not around for ages. Will have to go and catch up properly!

Sorry to hear doctor was a bit useless today haitch.

Had another scan on sunday and saw a bootiful little bean wiggling around. Saw little fingers too!! Everytime I have a scan I seem to move forwards a day- how does that work? Am I growing some super-sprog? Hope this won't be a 9lb-er!

Glad to see some of you beginning to feel better. Thought I was, then symptoms resumed on Saturday and have been awful the last couple of days. Craving of the moment is any filled pasta (as long as it has tomato and marscapone sauce) and M&S fizzy pig tails (though not together!!)

Right off to read what you've all been up to now. So hopefully I will try and post properly again soon!

theTramp · 13/08/2012 20:43

Haitch - so because you have just had a scan no 12 week scan?

The Dr sounds very crap. I confess I got very angry with Dr I saw a few weeks ago and left in a serious snit. Then 4 days later they called to check up on me and I rather forgave them their earlier rubbishness. I presume it is difficult for them to remember that what is common place to them is not to someone who is pregnant, particularly for the 1st time.

HaitchJay · 13/08/2012 20:48

Yes. Have had two now to date as the first wasn't accurate. Good job I didn't want the NT scan !
I don't need anything from the Dr ( i know whats going to happen)just for them to acknowledge me which he didn't!

FloweryBoots · 13/08/2012 21:01

Quick post before early night so sorry not to respond to others. The offer we put in on a house was accepted today so yay for us. And final booked a holiday (DH was suggesting we shouldn't go away when we've got time booked of work so we could spend it looking at houses, but now no need!).

Sickness pretty bad this morning and afternoon but better this evening at least.

ChildOfThe1980s · 13/08/2012 21:05

Haitch how far along are you? Doctors can be so cold sometimes.

Flowery a holiday sounds fab. I would love to have one now (lasting about a month).

Thanks for your thoughts everyone. I had a tiny amount of spotting just this evening, but none the rest of the day, which is a big improvement and I'm trying to stay positive.

HaitchJay · 13/08/2012 21:11

9 weeks. Just going v slowly not helped by losing 3 weeks. Registrar last time was like this & got told off by consultant!

flowery yay on holiday, where are you going?

sundaesundae · 13/08/2012 21:27

Has anyone noticed that they aren't being bothered by their bladder? I know this sounds weird but I thought this was a symptom, but I don't have it at all. I did before I knew I was pregnant, like 10+ times a day, but in the last month I haven't had any urgency or frequency issues. Is it a later on thing or something?

backwardpossom · 13/08/2012 21:30

I'm the same, sundae and it was never a problem last time round either.

Em2010 · 13/08/2012 21:38

Ok all, i've been reading as much as I can, so here goes (I really need to sit here with a pad and pen and take notes so I can say hello to everyone and not forget anyone!)

Sundae i've never really been bothered by my bladder, in this pregnancy or the last. Guess some of it might depend on the angle your uterus and bladder sit at?

flowery fab news on the house!! Holiday sounds great. I am not at all jealous. Much.

Sheldonella I am so so sorry that you have been treated so badly by the EPAU. What do they think they are there for if not to scan concerned women? Beyond belief. Good luck for your scan on Wednesday.

child sorry to hear that. Sounds scary but fx it will be ok.

Welcome to emma and thetramp

ok. Memory has failed me now. Pretty poor. Wouldn't make a good card player at the moment (or anytime really)! Best go to bed I think. Good luck for everyone with scans this week. Lots of wiggly beans.

theTramp · 13/08/2012 23:27

Bladder only bothering me at night. I could rival Austin Powers I think.

I was suffering constant nausea but last three days that's gone. I'm hoping I've sussed out what causes it and am avoiding those triggers rather than something being wrong - guess I'll find out Friday.

Biggest issue is exhaustion. Not tired - exhaustion.

Hello back!

GummiberryJuice · 13/08/2012 23:29

I thought I had been keeping up but like Em I shall have to start taking notes

Manda My friend had twin boys and nerly went full term, she is very small and by the end you could practically see shapes of hands and feet as the fidgeted about

Flowery great news about house

Haitch glad you made scan on time apparently our beans are the size of a grape, and if I didn't know better I thought I felt something, anyone else on no4 having litte butterflies???

Shledonella fx for WEdnesday

Sundae hope you boss is a cat lover

Zoey your SIL definitely sounds abit toxic, and sounds like she doesn't want ou getting any attention, best to ignore and not give her any fuel for the fire.
Both my SILs are pg and I'm so excited, as I have no sisters, and my dcs have no their cousins their age so this wee bean wil have cousins of similar
age.

Welcome Emma (no4 for me too) & tramp

Waves to everyone else

tiddleypompom · 14/08/2012 07:52

Wicked news about the house haitch - all the best for a smooth ride to completion! I have done it very recently & would advise regular calls to agent and solicitor for updates otherwise they'll do sweet fa for the first two months I made a right pita of myself in the end

A holiday too - lovely, good on you. We had two uk holidays whilst I was preg with DS and they were just fabulous. The last of their kind too - with no children in tow!

child I have everything crossed for you - stay positive & keep the faith! Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could have a full house of jumping bean scans this week? And henceforth in this thread...

I was going to name check much more, but I must have a shower whilst I can. Happy days all - hopefully nausea-free...

zoeymlucas · 14/08/2012 08:30

Haitch your doctors/ hospital sound rubbish I had a scan at 9 weeks (last weeK) and also have one booked in for 30th Aug with consultant and he said I still get the normal 12 week scan everyone else does with a midwife as thats standard practice - he also said I will get the normal 20 week scan to check baby even though he will be scanning me everyother week or even every week depending how things go - he said that having problems should get you some small perks like more scans not let you miss out on the usual ones as I was happy to not to have a normal 12 week one as he is scanning me at 12+1 anyway! Just shoes how different peoples care can be depnding on the doctor.
Got my fx crossed for you and your little bean child and hope you get to see it soon x x

No sundae I am not really getting bother by bladder either to be honest as was a little worried by this until consultant said my womb was high and forward so just assumed it had moved from away bladder so maybe yours has moved too?

tiddleypompom · 14/08/2012 08:50

Shit sorry flowery, tis your new house, not haitch... D'oh...

HaitchJay · 14/08/2012 09:32

[Grin] @ tiddley there's rather a lot of us to keep track of isn't there!

zoeymlucas · 14/08/2012 09:46

Highlight of day - Sales person brought me a macdonalds breakfast with OJ making him my star of the week but no one else is talking to him as he only got it for me, lol!!! Maybe my hiding of bump/ pregnancy isnt going as well as I thought, lol!!!!!!!!!!!

JoJoBella84 · 14/08/2012 10:06

"I'm off to see the midwife, the wonderful midwife of York" sung in the style of wizard of oz.
Morning all, you've all been busy chatting I can't keep up, I need some wifi!!! Better spend the day revising in the library today... :(
Had a horrible nights sleep last night, everything felt wrong - my bed was lumpy and I was having nightmares!

mandasand · 14/08/2012 10:30

Hope you have a good MW appt today JoJo!

Hey well done on the house, Flowery and the holiday! Yay! We spent a fruitless hour last night on the web trying to think where to go. We'd like to go for a week in September but because I pulled out of speaking at an overseas conference that month my conscience won't let me fly anywhere (I'm friends with the organisers so they would find out) so I was looking into the train. Would love to go back to Turkey, but it's 3 days on the train. Morocco is closer - 48 hours. I just feel that it will be ages till we can go abroad with two babies in tow so I want one last fling before I'm too big!

On which note, thanks for the reassurance, Gummi. Wow - hands and feet thought he belly is a bit freaky!! Also cool :-) Thing is, I'm not exactly small to start off with at 5 foot 4 and was overweight by at least 1 stone. But I've lost a bit of belly fat and my sides are smooth, so no 'love handle' bumps. Which means my belly looks tiny too! Maybe it's just all the weird eating. Hope beans (the wiggly inside ones, not Heinz) are fine.

11 weeks today and hurrah for my reinstated libido. Have felt like a right old invalid these past weeks but DH and I had a nice good reconnect last night. Yippeeee.

Lexiindisguise · 14/08/2012 10:51

mandasand and flowery hooray for holidays!
We booked for a trip to Santorini next month for our 5th anniversary - done in March & am so grateful now as it means we can go without worrying about the cost, as it was paid upfront before DH was made redundant Grin I think it's a good time to have our last couple holiday!
Can't remember who was starting their own business but am so full of admiration, I see from DH how much work it is, best of luck!Smile
Good luck with the midwife JoJo!

HaitchJay · 14/08/2012 11:13

We looked at there Lexi but more for couples than families. Looked lovely.
We had a 'big holiday' pre dd3 as by the time we are up for it again dd1/2 will be going to be too old to want to come with us :(

JoJoBella84 · 14/08/2012 13:10

Fabulous (but long) MW appt with the york team. Heard the heartbeat for the first time, more bloods taken, another scan booked for Thursday ( the MW demanded I was squeezed in for NT scan) as they had space and I had time!! Good grief this will be one very scanned baby!!
The booking appointment took 2 hours though - I'm so hungry I could vomit!! She was lovely and a bit ditsy so I felt I fitted in!!

HaitchJay · 14/08/2012 13:11

That's good jojo

mandasand · 14/08/2012 13:34

that's all good news, jojo!

backwardpossom · 14/08/2012 13:41

Sounds good Jojo! My midwife is ditsy as anything, too. Love her! :) Have felt a lot better yesterday and today, although still tired and sore bobobs. Hopefully the worst of the nausea is over!
