minipie · 13/08/2012 19:37

I've put on about a stone too. At least I think so - not sure exactly what I weighed pre-pregnancy.

PurplePidjin · 13/08/2012 19:38

I'm a 12, started off at 11st, now 11st13lb at 24 weeks :)

And wearing sil's size 8 yoga pants today

ellliebelle · 13/08/2012 20:06

I was overweight to start with 13 stone :( but i still weigh 13 stone now (although not for long i wouldnt think with the giant bag of malteasers im working my way through )

SpottyTeacakes · 13/08/2012 20:13

I don't have any scales at home but will get on the postal scales at work on Thursday Grin

Queenofsiburbia · 13/08/2012 20:23

A stone for me too!
According to my 'sprout' app the baby itself weighs 600gm now (at 24 weeks) so obviously all the other weight is water not nutella on toast

Barbeasty · 13/08/2012 20:38

Bonuses are a combination of savings type stuff and a present for each of us when it's DH's. Mine is always much smaller so gets spent on something I want or DD's swimming lessons etc. I also get an effective guaranteed "bonus" because I get paid 4 weekly. So all my outgoings are based on 12 smaller monthly pay packets and then (helpfully) around Christmas I get my 13th pay, so that covers Christmas.

Maybe if your DH gets regular quarterly bonuses which you can be fairly sure will hit a minimum you could do something like say £x of each bonus goes into a savings account to cover eg holidays or something big and then your DH could have the rest.

It's all so complicated and such a minefield. We're settled with how ours all works after being married for nearly 10 years.

We had a hopeless trip to the dentist this afternoon- I was fine but DD wouldn't even let the dentist count her teeth. But then the rest of the afternoon was spent watching Button Moon, which I'm pleased she enjoyed.

I must have a decent bump because the receptionist at the dentist just asked when I was due, rather than whether I was pregnant. And a (young, male) colleague I bumped into last week was genuinely worried for me when I said I wasn't due until December- he thought I must have 2 months max!

Cookiesandcream06 · 13/08/2012 20:40

Don't worry ellie I've just munched through a bag of mint area bubbles (there were amazing) I only know what I was at my 8 week booking and had already put on weight by then, but I'm up to just over 13 stone Confused why do I never have a 'lose weight' stage during my pregnancies?! was a 12 before pregnancy. My appetite has seriously increased in the past week which concerns me a big growth is round the corner.

MyDaydream · 13/08/2012 21:04

I don't know how much weight I've put on, my scales have been broken at home for all my pregnancy. I dread to think though, I've just polished off pretty much a whole pasta bake (minus DPs little portion) because the cheese tasted amazing!

Bellaboo123 · 13/08/2012 21:11

I just ate a dominos pizza...ooophs!!!

WillYouDoTheFandango · 13/08/2012 21:29

Argh! I just got stuck in the bath! My back locked and cos I'd let all the water out u was suckered to the bottom. Took 15 minutes to slowly edge my way out! Let this be a lesson to you all, do not let the water out before exiting the bath, especially if dp has gone to bloody football again Grin Blush

itsMYNutella · 13/08/2012 21:36

awww Queen ... nutella on toast!! .... can you toast nutella on its own... must go now and experiment

Oh, and I've put on almost a stone since the Dr started weighing me at 7 weeks ish... but I'm 20+5 weeks and they keep telling me off for gaining too much (think they are overly concerned at my Dr Hmm like ellie I started at 13st)

CODwidow · 13/08/2012 21:39

I've now put on 6lb and in size 10 maternity clothes. I think I probably lost a little in the early weeks but with the boys i'd put on about 2 stone by now.
My appetite has also increased this week so trying to be good but not really succeeding Blush

My bump is at the 'can't really bend ' anymore stage which I always find frustrating with 4 dc's to clean up after although I must admit their at a more helpful stage now. Even if it means them putting it all onto a higher lever so I don't need to reach.

As I don't work now, all our money (dh's wages, tax credits etc) goes into a joint account and I then withdraw cash for the month and keep it for things I need, odd bits of shopping and days out for the dc's and I. Main shopping money comes from the bill money. I am lucky though as dh will often pay for things and things for the dc's or baby.

PurplePidjin · 13/08/2012 21:40

This time last year i was 12 12, ditched the anti d's and picked up the exercise and was 11st at booking in.

Nutella doesn't need toast, it needs a tea table spoon :o

itsMYNutella · 13/08/2012 21:46

Pidj that is certainly my usual strategy... trouble is the jar I buy here is twice the size of the "large" jar in the UK.... hmmmm....
I actually lost almost 8kgs last year and just before falling pregnant I put two back on... so now I'm about where I started, which I think seems kind of fair.

itsMYNutella · 13/08/2012 21:48

Oh no Willyou just saw your post... at least if you're posting on Mumsnet you are probably safely out of the bath :o but I know what you mean with letting out the bath water, I've found that out for myself in the past; although without so many problems as you had.

Mummycox · 13/08/2012 21:59

I've managed to put on just over a stone. Am putting early weight gain down to refreshers and love hearts fertility meds. However... Have just measured bump and it's measuring 34cm at 24 weeks tomorrow??! I am 5'1". Reassurance that I'm not going to give birth in 6 weeks please.

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 13/08/2012 22:00

Mummy cox isn't it the fundal height (which is somewhere around the belly button right now) not size of bump? (I may be completely wrong)

MyDaydream · 13/08/2012 22:18

Will you- I don't even have a bath if DP isn't around to pull me out if I get stuck anymore. Sometimes I get stuck on the sofa!

CODwidow · 13/08/2012 22:28

Yes you'd measure to around your belly button for 24wks not top of bump Smile

cherrypiew3 · 13/08/2012 22:33

Thanks ladies for your earlier advice although my own drama and pain was soon forgotten once ds (5) fell off next door neighbours wall (still have no idea what he was doing on there in the first place). After lots of TLC and his favourite meal for tea he seems to have made a full recovery. Guess that's boys for you.

I still have a really bad back ache so will be going to the gp in the morning to get checked out even if I wake up and feel on top of the world.

Last time I was weighed which was at 16 weeks I had put on 3lb which the mw wrote in my notes was a negative weight gain, I was a bitAngry at this due to the fact that she knew how much I was suffering with being sick. I have a feeling I have put on a lot more since then like a lot of you have mentioned my appetite has also picked up over the passed 2 weeks.

Stacey hope you are feeling better.

Willyou You are not alone at getting stuck in the bath I have done it once and was to embarrassed to shout dh up he would of just laughed at me.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 13/08/2012 22:50

Grin glad I'm not alone, I am safely out of the bath I am pleased to report! I may have to adopt the no baths if alone in the house rule. I'm not even big yet, quite a neat little bump so god help me when I'm massive!

cherrypie dp values his testicles life too much to laugh at me. I'm normally fairly good natured but the mood swings have been vile for the last few months! least he's a big un so if really required could lift me out again. Glad to hear your ds didn't do too much lasting damage. Lots of hugs from mum must've sorted him right out.

SpottyTeacakes · 14/08/2012 07:10

My bump only measured 17cm. I'm quite small though and was nine stone when I last weighed myself about four weeks ago.

FriendofDorothy · 14/08/2012 07:41

I have put on 1 stone and 2lbs. I was a size 18 to start with and now I am a fat, pregnant size 18 woman. Having all that bleeding early in the first trimester means I just stopped doing anything and sat on the sofa.

I just feel like a blob :(

Clarella · 14/08/2012 08:24

Hi all, been away in cumbria no reception all wkend which was quite nice (with around 9 architects actually!) A fabulously lovely time in the sun and proper countryside (local gatekeeper thought we were poachers while hunting for my lost cardigan in fields this morn - luckily he had it!) mostly eating and lounging which has been good for the soul. We watched Mo in a meadow :) (cue song....!) anxiety has risen as soon as back but fighting it hard!

25+1 today!

Will toddle off n [skim] read last few pages.....
