Honey the letter attached to my card says for name changes you need to send details of your new name with your card and a copy of your marriage certificate. The address on the front of my letter (so I assume that's where it's going) Sandyford House, Archbold Terrace, Sandyford, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE2 1BF.
I'm with the bad nights sleep group, I just can't get to sleep properly until the early hours and can't get back once DP gets up for work.

I did my online shop last night, putting it away I've broken a drawer on the fridge and it turns out I looked at but forgot to click loads of stuff I thought I'd got. Don't think I should be allowed to shop until after baby now!
Second scan today, I'm hoping they manage to be nicer to me.

knottyhair · 09/08/2012 11:51

Sorry to hear about people having trouble sleeping Sad. MyDaydream, good luck with the scan!

Bubbless · 09/08/2012 12:24

spotty- placenta: fundal?! that makes sense.. Hmm anyone have any idea! dont want to go near google!!

for those struggling with names me and DP are both in love with Amelia, but it sounds horrible with my sirname! it isnt always meant to be!! (DD will be taking my sirname, then changing if/when me and DP get married)

equimum where are you finding the stats for leg length and stuff?! i cant see any of this on my notes?!

i had an awful nights sleep last night as well, was comfi and warm but couldnt sleep! exhausted today and got dentist later [evil people]

SpottyTeacakes · 09/08/2012 12:36

Fundal means it's right at the top I think. Give it a couple of weeks and you'll start feeling more I reckon.

MyDaydream · 09/08/2012 12:37

Bubbless quick Google says funal means placenta is sat at the top of your uterus.
I mentioned Dylan last night and DP said he'd also though of it so it's on our maybe list. I'm working at Arthur but don't think he'll go for it!

SpottyTeacakes · 09/08/2012 12:43

Love Dylan and Arthur!

PurplePidjin · 09/08/2012 13:23

We still like Raphael, the only person we've told is my gran who also liked it!

SpottyTeacakes · 09/08/2012 13:30

I love it pidj! We won't tell anyone until ds (hehe ds Grin ) is here Grin I'm so ridiculously over excited I think I need to calm down Hmm

ivanapoo · 09/08/2012 13:30

Love hearing all your baby names!

Purple we like Rafe which is a bit similar and I quite like Rafferty but DH needs some convincing... I was thinking Rafe but Raff or Raffy as a nickname.

Girls' names I like Eliza but DH isn't keen and its quite similar to one of our niece's names too. Still, plenty of time to decide!

PurplePidjin · 09/08/2012 13:38

We like the nn Rafa.

We want a name that'll work anywhere. Dp's parents are Jamaican, I've got branches all over the British Isles, and Raphael was one of his grandfathers as well as lots of good role models iyswim. Stuck for a middle name, though. Tempted by something beginning with P to give RPM as initials

MyDaydream · 09/08/2012 13:53

Our middle name was easiest, I got to pick it since I agreed to using DPs surname rather than mine to make sure there was still a family connection and when I really thought about it there was only one man in my family who I really wanted as a namesake for my son.
Pidj I'm the same, whenever I think "my son" I do a little laugh in my head because I'm so happy about it. I've been struggling to connect big tummy to becoming a mum but now I know it's a little boy it's really all started to feel real.
It's really stupid but I just keep having this idea that when he's a little bit older we'll go out for the day splashing in puddles in our wellies then come home and warm up with some hot chocolate then daddy will come home from work and we'll have dinner and big family cuddles. I told DP this and he nearly cried!

minipie · 09/08/2012 13:57

Lovely names all!

We have chosen Eloise for DD after endless discussions. still need a middle name!

PurplePidjin · 09/08/2012 14:38

Daydream, i got through the seemingly endless travelling last week by trying to imagine what our little lad will be like Blush

xmasevebundle · 09/08/2012 14:42

The job centre sorted my money thank god didnt sleep was worried about it all.

My little monkey inside me is a ralph!!

Gettin mixed reviews but i love it, i dont no any ralphs :)

utopian99 · 09/08/2012 14:52

bundle glad your money issues have been resolved - it's horrible worrying about stuff all night..

we have had first names for three since before we got married. (this is our first! DH is just a bit keen on families.. I think he wouldn't have married me if I said I didn't want children..) but middle names have been a fun one. now have a full boys and girls sorted, just in case team blue turns out to be pink on arrival. Would love to tell you guys but really don't want to tell anyone who knows us till he's born and have been found out through posts on forums before because I can never be bothered chnaging my user name. argh!

also have just filled in my spreadsheet, using ebay as a reference for as much as humanly possible and it's coming out at £1k to spend on crucial things before birth! rubbish... am hung up on Stokke which doesn't help, but have looked for those bits on ebay as well as much as possible. PIL have offerred to pay for something towards the stuff, as they're quite excited too but I don't want to take the mickey and have no idea what they had in mind in terms of costs. Was thinking car seat as they have to be bought new, but even they seem too expensive to ask for - maybe 50-50 split?

HoneyMum21 · 09/08/2012 15:07

bundle glad money has been sorted out :)

loving all the names. Before we got together both me and DH had names we wanted to use but i'm not keen on his (the nn i would love, but if anyone called DS by the full name i would want to punch them) so we both left the names we'd thought of (mine was Dillon. I still love it) and decided to come up with one together which we have managed to do. Think i mentioned before that Bump also kicked his approval which is good :) Only thing is if i get the middle name i want for him then his initials will be DVT - but kids in the playground won'y make that connection and be mean, will they?!!

knottyhair · 09/08/2012 15:18

I'm loving all the names as well! MyDaydream, that's such a lovely idea! I'm sure it will be happening - my DS is 8 and when I pick him up from school on a rainy day, he still holds my hand and asks "is it hot chocolate weather?" Smile.

2blessed · 09/08/2012 15:19

Hellish day at work alert! I was torn between bursting into tears and leaving the office and going for a loooong walk during a meeting with my boss earlier. I'm so unhappy here! So much for me leaving early today Angry Sad

xmas so pleased its all been sorted out, those kind of worries you really don't need now.

spotty loving the excitement, don't lose it. Every now and then I still giggle to myself. I'm loving being pregnant and so looking forward to meeting my LO! Wow! My baby!

WeeJo08 · 09/08/2012 15:22

Loving all the name chat! We have a shortlist but nothing actually decided. DH's favourite is a lovely name - I like the full version and I don't mind the shortened version BUT I wouldn't want the shortened version to be used right from birth and I understand that it's sort of out of my control....I don't want to be an arse and give off to people! Don't know if that makes sense or not?! Grin

Congrats on any scans I have missed! I wonder what the tally is now for Team Blue and Team Pink?! Are the girls catching up? For anyone who is worried about having only bought a few baby things, you can be comforted by me....I have bought NOTHING. Actually, physically nothing. Blush I joined the Boots Parenting Club the other day though so maybe that counts for something! I think I will buy something in about 10 days time, when we hit 24 weeks.

NaomiRuth · 09/08/2012 16:27

Congratulations on the scan results, lovely to hear everyone's excitement!

Sorry to hear of those having troubles. I also have some nights where i can't sleep at all, but Dream genie pillow has def helped a lot.

I've bought my first baby clothes - a lovely snowsuit and sleep suit on EBay. They arrived this morning and I can't believe how cute they are. Snowsuit will be to bring LO home from hospital in.

Scan in 6 days...... Can't wait now! According to nub theory it's a girl. No idea if is is reliable though.

xmasevebundle · 09/08/2012 16:44

If you join the boots parent club its amazing!!

Get 10 points per pound on baby stuff nappies etc. Treating myself to some soap and glory gift set when the sales go on in jan smiling alot

Get a free changing bag(got to buy nappies, 1packet)

Im glad its sorted to have to wait now until tuesday :(

I got him so more clothes today, i want to get him some polo shirts and sweaters with jeans!!!
(Got another feeling he will look like daddy rolls eyes and dads got a baby face so i cant complain if he ages like him)

Ive got a few knitted things which are good for winter :)

JoJoB77 · 09/08/2012 17:05

Evenin' all Smile

Just been reading up on all your names. We've, well i love Amber for a girl but DH isnt keen as DD is called Ruby and he thinks its like the traffic light system?!!

I also love Maxwell for a boy, nn Max, even though my nan had an alsation called Max when i was younger i still love it Grin

Im convinced we're having another girl tho as im sure three lines at the scan. Very excited Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 09/08/2012 17:28

Would you be able to see the 'three lines' if baby had its legs crossed? I'm just asking because my friends baby had its legs crossed so they said they couldn't tell the gender, wonder if it makes it more likely it's a boy?!

Love those names jojo my niece has the same name as a family dog (who is still alive) so I wouldn't worry!

SpottyTeacakes · 09/08/2012 17:30

Also eBay is really quiet at the moment (Olympics) I've been getting clothing bundles for 99p Smile

EggsMichelle · 09/08/2012 18:04

I really cant keep up with the thread this week, it's crazy busy at work with moving wards and trying to take on the role of a PA, which was not part of my nurse training!!!

My DH has been working night all week, and I have a maximum of 1hr per day with him, feeling a bit lonely. And the dog isn't much company, I can't wear him out like DH can as im getting stitch in my belly from jut walking, so he is just annoying me Sad

Then last night the antisocial neighbours struck again, playing karaoke at 3am, GRRR Angry

We have chosen the name Felix, took ages to find a name we agree on, and this works so well with our last name. I was determined we would not have a name in the top 100 lists, but I'm wondering if it will be creeping into the popularity list in the next year! Still Felix is his name, and I have already started calling the dog Felix by mistake so its a good sign!

Is clumsyness a common trait of pregnancy? a know a few of us have been loosing our balance (Change in our centre of gravity) but I have dropped the iron twice this week, once on my head (Lucky escape with just a small cut and lump) and on the very new living room floor (has a chunk missing out of it now!)

Sorry for the long post, I'm in desperate need of some adult/human/not mental health related company! Hmm
