Stacey I fell over onto my bump earlier in the week and baby went crazy moving around, I think the impact shocked him. Everything I read said even falling on tummy at this stage is okay and I'd have had to do some serious damage to myself before baby was affected.

Congratulations on everyone who had good scans today, tried to go through and say it to everyone individually but it was taking me ages!
Had my scan today and I'm having a boy too! The hospital staff kind of spoilt it for me and left me quite upset. I have to go back on Thursday because baby wouldn't move for them to get all the measurements.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 07/08/2012 20:27

Sorry to hear that you didn't have a great scan experience MyDaydream, what happened?

state that thermometer cut out sounds very useful - let me know if you find a link? thansk

MyDaydream · 07/08/2012 21:03

I'm going to seriously start researching what to buy now, although I've set my deadline for the 26/11 when my pram is being delivered to be fully baby ready.
Today was just a nightmare. They made a really big deal about how empty my bladder was even though I was desperate for a wee and told them I couldn't drink much more. The first woman didn't even show me the screen or talk me through anything. Sent me for a walk/further drink for '15 minutes' I put away another half litre moved about loads and they left me for 50 minutes by the time I got in I was so worried about wetting myself I couldn't enjoy my scan and she still kept telling me my bladder was too empty. Baby wouldn't move anyway and she really dug the hand held thing into my stomach to get him to budge, I was in pain for a long time after. I was just made to feel like an idiot and an inconvenience. I'm more worried about Thursday because I know I can't drink anymore than today. Upside is we got a really good photo and DP keeps going on about how big his sons willy is!
xmas I didn't really have a preference I'm very happy with a little boy.

4MrsCoyle5 · 07/08/2012 21:05

Hi everyone - sorry been away for ages (but glad to see so many happy, healthy bundles causing mummy grief). Had consultant today and turns out I'm high risk for problems I wasn't even aware of!!! But at least I know now...

ellliebelle · 07/08/2012 21:06

Congrats scan buddies ours went well all looms good and still o team surprise as far as i know dh doea know the sex although sonographer not very happy to tell him not me needed lots of convincing

4MrsCoyle5 · 07/08/2012 21:18

Emily I'm due 28th as well but my scan isn't til 31st!! How'd you get one so early?? lol
Cod yours are so close in age to mine 9 (except this one's a girl), 7,6 and 3 (4 in Jan) - weird lol

4MrsCoyle5 · 07/08/2012 21:19

Ellie I couldn't do that to myself lol

SpottyTeacakes · 07/08/2012 21:29

I'm due 27th and my scan is tomorrow?!

xmasevebundle · 07/08/2012 21:34

How exciting Grin.

Everyone good luck with scans tomorrow!!

4MrsCoyle5 · 07/08/2012 21:43

spotty Just had a look in my diary - I'll be 21wks exactly on the 31st. And my scan is at 11am on that date (thought maybe I read the letter wrong). I have consultant again on 21st and they might scan me then so maybe that's why? Now I'm annoyed again lol

((hugs)) mydaydream poor you xx

SpottyTeacakes · 07/08/2012 21:47

I make me 23 weeks on the 30th Confused

ellliebelle · 07/08/2012 21:51

4mrs i genuinly dont want to know :) i had a little waver earlier when we were shopoing and he knew and i didnt but in general feel good about not knowing :)

4MrsCoyle5 · 07/08/2012 21:56

spotty My due date is 12th Jan (think I mentioned it on the old thread?) - I'm getting inuced on 28th so that would be right!! (got myself confused for a bit there - maybe the start of baby brain? - lol)

ellie every day my conversation would - oh go on just tell me - no wait don't - no in fact just tell me - no don't...you can see where that would head...I'd drive us both mad - I' think i'd be fine not knowing if the sonographer had never said at the first scan I ever had "do you want to know what flavour it is?" Because I found out with her I've needed to know with them all (to be fair of course lol) so I take my hat - well if I wore one - off to you xx

SpottyTeacakes · 07/08/2012 21:58

Oh yes! I got worried then that I was only 17 weeks Grin

4MrsCoyle5 · 07/08/2012 22:01

lol sorry - I keep thinking of the 28th as my "real" due dat. Knowing my luck (and previous labours) I won't have him (biased already) til new years day :(

emilyeggs · 07/08/2012 22:57

A KICK! Finally! I was laying on the floor and DH had his head on my belly trying to listen to a heart beat (silly I know) and then KICK! Right in his head Grin we felt a few more after that so am very happy now Grin Grin

4MrsCoyle5 · 07/08/2012 22:58

YAY!!! in other words "hey - get off my mummy" aww..sooo happy for you xxx

emilyeggs · 07/08/2012 23:00

4Mrs guess I'm lucky after all Smile you'll be 23 wks by then, not exactly a 20 wk scan is it Confused

emilyeggs · 07/08/2012 23:00

Thanks Grin

MyDaydream · 07/08/2012 23:08

Emily that's great. I've still not had any big enough for DP to feel.
