Hi everyone!

I think I did this correctly! Eeeek! Probably not Blush I think we still have a few messages to go on the old one, so it's here for when we're ready :)

The letter for my scan says I need to drink 1 pint of water before coming to the appointment and I need to have finished drinking one hour before the scan appointment.

Barbeasty · 24/07/2012 12:55

That's Minipie, not mobilis!

Barbeasty · 24/07/2012 12:57

Friend, that's what every other hospital seems to say, and why I cut back!

But as am aside my antibiotics have to be taken with half a glass of water. Is that half a pint, half a half pint, half a shot glass? Totally pointless instruction!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 24/07/2012 13:35

really uncomfy having to sit at my desk all day :( been working out money and savings today though so hopefully have a workable plan for when tadpole comes as will need savings or i can't take anytime off.

Weather is beautiful but could really do with a breeze tbh!

Maazaa · 24/07/2012 14:38

Hello ladies - as you know I am new to this thread! I have my 20 week scan tomorrow, both nervous and excited. We didn't find out the gender for our first child but hope to do so tomorrow! Have been looking at the first scan and analysing! Even resorted to dangling a needle and thread over my palm and I don't believe in those sort of things usually! Don't mind what we have as long as healthy!

CODwidow · 24/07/2012 15:25

Good luck for everyone having scans this week! Can't believe how quick it's come round Grin
Well had a lovely day at the park and strawberry picking with the kids now sat watching a film til dh gets home, love school holidays Smile

StrawberrytallCAKE · 24/07/2012 15:29

Hello!! It's good news Grin the baby looks absolutely fine, the largest pool of water was a cm smaller than last week and the new sonographer really had to search for it, my test results also came back fine and I'm a little bit in love with the male obstetrician. I have to go back in 4 weeks for another scan but he suspects it will be normal then. Sorry it's a quick post going to pick up dd and have a big cuddle will catch up later.

CODwidow · 24/07/2012 15:31

Yey!!!!GrinGrinGrin so happy for you strawberry

Barbeasty · 24/07/2012 15:34

That's fantastic Strawberry. And at least with the extra monitoring there won't be any sudden problems.

I've been in a meeting all day with the air conditioning on full, so it was quite a shock to come outside. The car temperature readout was 32 degrees! Not looking forward to tomorrow when the meeting is in a non-airconditioned room, or the rest of the week back in my porta cabin. Might have to plead pregnancy and work from home!

SpottyTeacakes · 24/07/2012 15:43

That's great Strawberry Grin

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 24/07/2012 15:49

Yay strawberry so pleased for you! amd you get to sneek a peek at bby again in 4 weeks :)

HoneyMum21 · 24/07/2012 16:06

SpottyTeacakes · 24/07/2012 16:14

olliebob · 24/07/2012 16:54

that is wonderful news Strawberry and as someone else said you get to look forward to seeing baby again in four weks Smile

minipie · 24/07/2012 17:27

Yay strawb, excellent news.

honeytea · 24/07/2012 17:37

Thats such great news strawberry!! And lovely that you get to check in the baby in 4 weeks.

Hehe at the waterslide, well it is the weather for it!

They didn't specify what size glass so I just drank as much as I could. The scan went fine, they did all the measurements again it took ages about 45 mins I was so very desperate for a wee but I'm glad they took the tine to check everything properly. Ds was being a flasher again, you could definatly tell he was a boy even on the profile shot of his body, it's a good job we didn't want a supprise or the supprise would have been ruined.

gilsbubbles · 24/07/2012 17:45

Scan for me tomorrow too...very exited. I'm off to an antenatal pilates class tonight, hoping to meet some local mums to be. I only moved to northern ireland a year ago and haven't built up a circle of friends outside of work yet. Suddenly realizing just how lonely maternity leave could be Sad

SpottyTeacakes · 24/07/2012 17:48

gils you'll meet people Smile I'm sure there'll be lots if coffee mornings going on for new mums and you could even go to some breastfeeding meetings/classes before the baby arrives (even if you don't plan on breastfeeding!)

NaomiRuth · 24/07/2012 17:56

Strawberry that's wonderful news, glad it's all ok and good they are monitoring you.

I'm not online very much as my BT line at home isn't working. No working phone connection since end of May and now the Internet has gone too. (very angry as was banking on working at home during Olympics!) Had a massive go at them just now at work, even said I'm pregnant and husband going away (which is true) and how can they leave a pregnant woman without a phone. They keep lying about when it will be fixed and not calling me back. Aaaaarrghhh!

On a more positive note I think I can feel a few small kicks (17 + 5).

Went to mothercare last weekend and looked at some prams with DH. Liked the Babystyle Oyster but want to look at the iCandy cherry and strawberry next.

HoneyMum21 · 24/07/2012 18:00

Ive dragged myself off the sofa to go to a 'holistic pregnancy group' tonight Confused hmm, not sure but will give it a whirl!

EggsMichelle · 24/07/2012 18:38

Fantastic news Strawberry, very relieved for you. And glad Honeytea got to see another good look!

I take back yesterday's hostility towards the weather, work was hot in my office but now I'm home iv mowed the lawn, trimmed the hedges and fixed the shower (dial broke and was only spewing hot water!). Now I'm relaxing on the patio and loving it!!!

MyDaydream · 24/07/2012 19:07

Congratulations strawberry! That's really great news.
I realised today that all this brief stabbing pains I've been getting over the last few days are probably big baby kicks, and everything else I've been feeling is just baby stretching and getting comfy.
I don't really know anyone in my area and when I'm back at work I won't get much change to do stuff. It'll be another benefit of finishing early, I can get out in the last few weeks to try meet people.
I want DP to get home. I've got a massive pan of chilli on and am starving.

pmgkt · 24/07/2012 19:17

Been camping for the last few days, very relaxing. Now back to normality. Shame.

WeeJo08 · 24/07/2012 19:21

Strawb That is just fab news! Well done BabyStrawberry for mopping up all the water! (...or something!)

Gils Whereabouts in NI are you? I am from there but living in London...we're moving back just after the baby's born.
