Hi everyone!

I think I did this correctly! Eeeek! Probably not Blush I think we still have a few messages to go on the old one, so it's here for when we're ready :)

WeeJo

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
PurplePidjin · 21/07/2012 08:13

Or a catapault! I could bring PidjChick up to be Just William...

SpottyTeacakes · 21/07/2012 08:43

We have nightingales singing outside our window all night Hmm

I finally got to sleep at six and dp took dd downstairs for me. He's now gone to buy crumpets and doughnuts, he usually works Saturday's so I'm Grin

ivanapoo · 21/07/2012 09:06

Pidj your rabbit is v cute. Are you taking orders?!

We're going to see the house we are "buying" this morning. We are having a bit of a meltdown about it as we will be getting a big mortgage and this would tie us both to our jobs. DH doesn't like his AND it means he won't be around for 11/12 hours every day meaning he'll hardly see our baby during the week. I really don't want to see it again if there's a chance we won't buy but the PILs are down and want to have a look round... DH won't mention our doubts to them so they're all really excited and will be taking pics etc which just makes it harder TBH.

SpottyTeacakes · 21/07/2012 09:08

Oh Ivana I have no words of wisdom I can only imagine the immense pressure you're feeling, must be quite scary. What's your gut reaction?

Bubbless · 21/07/2012 09:23

clarella- your a busy lady! i dont think you need to question if YABU, trampolining (?!) sounds like a stupid idea whilst preg Hmm
owh, i have no idea on safe prawn eating tactics... il just continue to avoid! ive filled the void with olives anyway ;)

ellie- by your belly button?!?! i must be finding the placenta... mines never that high!!

pidjin- your little toy is so cute!

ivana- i think you need to stick to your gut reaction like spotty said, let us know how it plays out..

im so angry at DP this morning and i havent even seen the fecking idiot hes gone off to work, without waking me up, without leaving me a note, and hes going on a night out tonight so i wont see him before i go to bed... grr.
saying this, i would have been angry if he woke me up to say bye.. Hmm

PurplePidjin · 21/07/2012 09:39

Ivana, house-buying is SHIT but second and third viewings are common. You only commit when you make an offer. I can take orders but am hopeless at pricing! Make me an offer, i can do the face in any colour you like far too much yarn in the stash and I've got a (fairly disorganised and somewhat neglected) facebook page

Bubbless :o

kate2boysandabump · 21/07/2012 10:03

Morning all!

Strawb That sounds a bit more positive, glad your feeling better.

I can't remember who else has had a scan as my brain is mush at the moment, but glad it was all good news. It seems like after an early run of oink we're now definitely in a blue phase.

I have been and got properly fitted for a bra this week and I feel so much better. However, my boobs are now a 34 FF!!!! I didn't think they had grown that much and it does limit the choice somewhat, but considering it's fairly industrial, it does look quite pretty. I'm now wearing this new bra Although mine is in a much bigger size then the picture.

Hope you all enjoyed your takeaways last night, fish and chips for me at the scout quiz, yummy!

littlemissbroody26 · 21/07/2012 10:25

clarella how silly that trampolining is even considered for a pregnant lady! I hope you enjoy the i-pad, I really want one!

ellie yay for finding the heart beat! My baby is sometimes really low just on my knicker line and sometimes high, never in the middle strangely.

pidjin your entry is lovely, I am so impressed by your crafty-ness!

I have been eating prawns, not often, I did't realise they were a risk. The advice here is no blue cheese and no alcohol, no fish from the baltic sea... but that's it. I follow a mixture of UK rules and Swedish rules, my logic is that the baby is half and half, so following a little of both rules is good.

sorry to here about all the bad sleep people have been experiencing. grrr to naughty birds!

I skyped with my brother this morning, now i'm all home sick, we are planning on going out mushroom picking later on and maybe stopping for a swim in the lake (any rules about swimming in lakes when pregnant?)

PurplePidjin · 21/07/2012 10:51

Kate, the lovely lady my mum goes to said it's impossible to tell what size you'll be after the birth and to come back at 38 weeks to be fitted for nursing bras. She works in an independent department store (two branches near me) and isn't on commission so no pressure to sell...

If lake water is safe for swimming, i assume you're ok littlemiss?

ivanapoo · 21/07/2012 11:50

Thanks all, I went to see the house again and I love it. Tbh it just feels like our house. It will be a bit of a stretch but only a little more than we'd pay renting a house rather than a flat which we're currently in. We would have a long term fixed rate mortgage too so would know where we stand for 5 years at least.

Worst comes to worst I would work full time and DH stay at home. It would be tight but not impossible on my salary.

Little miss I swam in a man made lake in France a few weeks back. Think it's fine, although I did try not to put my mouth or nose in but that's because I don't like going under without my goggles on

littlemissbroody26 · 21/07/2012 12:02

It's so nice that you found a house that feels like your home :) Ivan, I'd say go for it, houses are such amazing investments.

I will be attempting not to put my mouth or eyes under to, more because i dont like ot get my hair wet.

itsMYNutella · 21/07/2012 12:09

I am so jealous of the choice of maternity bras you have in the UK! Here I have found a choice between two brands :( both hideous!
I got measured a few weeks ago and normally would wear an 80cm/36 D 34/DD. Very young sales assistant would only give me 90cm/40 C to try on.... Yeah I'm totally convinced she knew what she was doing Angry . Of course they didn't fit and offered bugger all support. In the end I left and went elsewhere and found an 85/38 E which fits but is a bit loose in the back. So I switched to an 85E underwired in the end :(

That sales assistant made me so unhappy, I was really angry (a little rude :)) and of course pregnant and tearful! Ugh. Might talk DP into a UK visit just so I can go shopping!!

itsMYNutella · 21/07/2012 12:13

Ivana I found with house buying it helped to think that once you have bought the house it's price will never go up; as long as you can make it work now - even if it is a little tight - you will certainly manage it in the future. If you were to carry on renting what the price increase be like in 5 years time?

I hope that makes sense. The other thing about buying is that it's yours and you will make it your own because you own it :) great to hear you like it still!

EggsMichelle · 21/07/2012 12:29

I hate bra shopping, my weight goes up and down and with it my boobs have fluctuated from AA-B, it drives me crackers.

Another pigeon in the garden this morning, not dead but beyond rescue, bastard cat!

MyDaydream · 21/07/2012 13:05

I love bra shopping I love underwear but since I need the serious scaffolding even when not pregnant I don't get to do it too often due to cost. I think I'm growing out of the ones I got at the start of pregnancy now so I'll be back to the bra lady fairly soon.
I have to go get dressed up for a birthday do I don't want to go to. I just want to eat my cookies and go back to bed!

itsMYNutella · 21/07/2012 13:27

i know how you feel, I'd rather chill out on my own today Daydream.
We have friends of DP coming over for dinner with their (mega precious- no one has ever been allowed to touch) 11month old... They are really boring and we don't get on with them that well but DO has known the guy since he was about 14 so feels like they should still be fiends.

MyDaydream · 21/07/2012 13:53

I just don't really like this girl since she's a bit of an attention seeker and will probably get drunk and make a scene, which is exactly like her. But I have a maternity dress I finally feel pregnant enough to wear and the restaurant looks pretty good so I'll fill up on food, make my "yawn, it's sooo hard being pregnant" excuses and leave.

nasara · 21/07/2012 14:16

It sounds like lots of you are also completely done in? I am so so tired - should have gone to bed when dd did :/ Anyone else a complete emotional wreck, too?

SpottyTeacakes · 21/07/2012 14:30

I'm about to start getting ready for a wedding Smile one of my best friend's. Just had a two hour nap with dd too Grin

kate2boysandabump · 21/07/2012 14:34

Pidjin I know I have to go back later, but the nursing bra is only £2 more, so if it still fits after the birth I've saved myself some money. With the last 2 my cup size didn't change when my milk came in, I just needed a bra extender for between feeds. I'm just hedging my bets really Smile I went to an independent shop too. She was fabulous and there's a lovely big, squashy sofa to sit on while you wait.

Ivana We'll be in a similar position when we move, we'll have to stretch a bit for a few years to get a house we want. Can you see your family in the house?

DH has taken the boys and the dogs out and I have come back to bed. I feel very tired today, may have a little snooze.....

PurplePidjin · 21/07/2012 17:13

I won 2nd prize for my bootees Shock will post a pic in a mo

itsMYNutella · 21/07/2012 17:18

WOW *Pidg. Well done :) I'd have given you first, I'm very impressed with all your knitting / crocheting antics!:o

They are here and the child is actually 1 next week, is it wrong to be so bored by other people's children now that I'm pregnant? And they brought their buggy up into our flat... Hmmmm Hmm great, the floor will need cleaning after they've rolled it all over our bedroom to get the precious one to sleep!

HoneyMum21 · 21/07/2012 17:25

DH got the job :) am I a bad person if I have a glass of wine with him to celebrate tonight?

mwahmwah · 21/07/2012 17:44

School uniform shopping today for DD, shoes and bag sorted, the rest will have to wait. Also got Ds his FIRST SHOES! At 22 months its about time, walking or not!

MyDaydream · 21/07/2012 18:09

Well done pidj, although I did first read it as boobies not bootees!
Nutella, how rude! I've had babies put to sleep in my room before, not once has it involved prams. At least your learning how to avoid being an annoying parent!
Honey congratulations to your DP. A glass of celebratory wine is definitely called for.
