Leftwingharpie · 14/07/2012 22:51

OMG has anyone else got terrible wind?! DH and his mates finally went out to the pub and I thought thank god they've gone I can let rip what a relief! No sooner had I done so than they all came back! Blush I rushed off to bed!

Note to myself: read before posting! Hello nut you found us too! Congrats and welcome to all newbies! Gosh is very busy here!
jessie I'm so sorry to hear your bad news! Hope you are ok!

Sunnymeadows · 14/07/2012 23:06

Leftwingharpie no excess wind yet but planning on blaming the cat hehe

GummiberryJuice Is it safe to take antihistamine after 12 weeks do you know?

TinkerBellaFlora · 14/07/2012 23:09

Sorry jessie to hear your news and total respect for how you're dealing.

motherofone hope you start getting the support you need. Is there someone other than your bf you can speak to?

Welcome all newcomers. Congratulations on your bfps. Will write more soon but it's now past my (current) bed time. Night all.

GummiberryJuice · 15/07/2012 00:37

Sunnymeadows Iwas definitely prescribed an antihistamine when pg but last pregnancy was 6 years ago, so can't remember which one

Sunnymeadows · 15/07/2012 06:29

I was under the hospital for it, and was on telfast. The dermatologist told me it should be ok but i wasn't happy with should. She suggested piriton which i was taking then when i went to Dr to say i was pg she said don't take. I haven't taken one since. Im so nervous about doing anything wrong, Im a worrier. Even now if they said they were safe i would be apprehensive.

On another subject if any of you have sore boobies especially at night get yourself a pj top with support, amazing. The best £10 I've spent lol.

tiddleypompom · 15/07/2012 07:16

Morning! Love the 'Christmas Day' analogy - will try to think likecthat when DS cries at 5.30am! This morning he was happy to play in his cot & didn't rattle the sides till 6.45!! That really is a present to me :)

Welcome & congratulations to wantayeti, gummi & nut! Good to have you on board! If you look at the start if the thread (I know, it's enormous now) you'll see that all those with morning sickness now were stressing about no symptoms a week or do back :)

threefortea loved that the bride was also secret-pregnant & good on her lasting till midnight! Mind you, honeymoon without champagne?? Mine wouldn't have been quite the same that's for sure!

Yes to wind harpie. I'm loads of fun at the moment - wind, retching, fat, tired & emotional. Good job am already updiffed as I am not convinced of my seductive qualities :o

tiddleypompom · 15/07/2012 07:17

Anyone else do the Chinese predictor I put up a page or do ago? I want to know if it worked for existing babies so I can believe I am having a girl

:o

FloweryBoots · 15/07/2012 07:48

harpie - yep, loads of wind here, but more of a problem is that mostly it's trapped wind. I can usually get a few good uns out of a morning Blush but then it just builds up in my tummy all day and by the evening is increadibly un comfortable down right painful and I look about 6 months pg not 6 weeks! It was my worst problem last time too. Got so bad one day my DH was all for taking me to a&e because he said there was no way the amount of pain I was in could be 'just' trapped wind. I ended up cutting wheet out of my diet almost entirely at docs suggestion which really helped and highly recomend lots of mint tea (nicest if you make with just fresh mint leaves and hot water rather than the bags) and you can get mint oil tablets which my doc prescribed.

Will try the chineese preditor thing in a minute, once DS has got himself up onto the sofa (ot quite tall enough to climb up himself but giving it a good go, looks a bit dangerous)

FloweryBoots · 15/07/2012 07:52

Sorry tiddlepom, predicted girl for my DS. Predicted girl for this LO too.

Popinda · 15/07/2012 08:13

tiddlepom i dont have a child yet, just wanted to say that it predicted to be a boy, but another iPhone app predicted I'll have girl! One of the is going to be right. Question is which one? I think it's girl. :-)
I suppose it's fifty-fifty. Grin

knickyknocks · 15/07/2012 08:21

Windy here too! Mixed in with a bit of constipation. Only a few days ago I saying that things had gone the other way with an upset tummy. I seem to recall this from my last pregnancy, any symptoms you have can come and then go suddenly. Orange juice and dried fruit got things going yesterday - TMI???? 5 weeks today, such a long way to go yet. Just crossing everything that the morning sickness won't be as bad as last time. Time will tell.... I reckon it'll settle in anytime between 6 and 8 weeks if it's coming.....yuck.

tiddleypompom · 15/07/2012 08:21

Oh well - two boys would be a lot of fun! We shall have to wait & see - till March in my case as we won't be finding out at 20 weeks.

Hitchingal · 15/07/2012 08:59

Random question - anyone put on weight yet , & how much should you put on or not in 1st trimester? I've already gained a couple of lb and clothes feel tight, all my friends keep muttering about not gaining till second trimester and not eating for two Sad I've got a bit of a complex relationship with food and was dieting when I got pg, so am trying to average at 1900 cals a day but paranoid I am eating too much Sad

Hitchingal · 15/07/2012 09:00

Should say only 3 friends know, two of which lost weight in first trimester & 1 of which has not had a baby!

kittencuddles · 15/07/2012 09:05

Hi all, can I join you? Got my bfp yesterday and think I am nearly 6 weeks. Had a mc in Oct so feeling a bit fragile and worried. Can't get excited yet.
Boobs and nipples are very sore. Also feeling bloated in the evenings. Hungry or needing to wee most of the time!

woody17 · 15/07/2012 09:14

Hi everyone - well things aren't looking great here. After the excitement and relief of seeing the heartbeat on Friday, I started spotting/bleeding yesterday and I've passed some clots and had painful cramping. There's not been a huge amount of blood but I don't think it looks good. Going to see GP at 11. Hope more than anything that everything is ok.

tiddleypompom · 15/07/2012 09:34

Huge hugs woody, how worrying for you. Keeping everything crossed that the little bean sticks - rest up till you see your dr. Thinking of you x

Hi kitten - welcome to the club. Bit of a uncertain place to be during these worrying early weeks, especially for those like you who have suffered mc. Try and stay positive & feel free to share concerns - we are all here for one another :)

tiddleypompom · 15/07/2012 09:36

hitchin i have put on 2 lb already. Lost weight last time due to lack of wine but crisps & toast not helping this time! Please don't worry - eat healthily if you can but first trimester isn't about weight watching...

tedmundo · 15/07/2012 09:46

Woody ..so sorry to hear you are going through this right now. Good luck later. FX

jessi .. I am sorry to hear your bad news. It sounds like you have a great attitude though, and i admire your positive spirit. Good luck.

motherofone .. Thinking of you too.

Welcome to the newbies. The due dates are getting towards the end of March now so I guess we are almost at our full quota. I am 6 weeks today. Boobs sore, feel sicky and dizzy and tired.but the sun is shining for once, so I think we are off out for a country walk. So long as there are toilets en route!

Sunnymeadows · 15/07/2012 09:50

Hugs woody, keep positive. Got everything crossed for you.

Welcome kitten! Agree with tiddley above.

Hitchingal · 15/07/2012 10:47

Welcome to the newbies! woody keeping everything crossed for you x x

Thanks tiddley - i've also put on 2lb - just feel really paranoid I am eating too much with the comments! Doesn't help that I am craving salty food and too tired to do much other than work. Sad

JoJoBella84 · 15/07/2012 10:56

sunnymeadows I've been suffering with really really sore boobs, so for the past two nights have slept in a sports bra and the difference is amazing!
I also felt a bit of a fraud having to buy a maternity swimming costume - but I was at risk of indecent exposure in the pool and didn't see the point in buying a size up when I would eventually need a maternity one anyway :)
I'm struggling to sleep at the moment, my mind seems to go into overdrive as soon as I get into bed, I'm not sure if it's my up coming exams (which are just stressful) or if it's knowing I'll be leaving Uni part way through my final year in order to move 400 miles away and have a baby!! There is so much to plan and it's overwhelming.
