X post eric glad you are getting checked out. Keep the faith & have a group hug (((((()))))))

pops I hope your cramps calm down too. What with em and her ms, everyone bring knackered, and all these cramps & pains we're a right old bunch aren't we?! Roll on blooming beauty :o

tiddleypompom · 04/07/2012 13:33

P.s. em I really do sympathise. I also feel rotten.

bbface · 04/07/2012 13:36

Eric, you will prob get a scan and get to see your little bean.

Yes, it was ectopic that I was concerned about but only because of your ref to the shoulder pain. However, the pain is meant to be shocking and travel across the shoulder blade and by the sounds of it yours is painful but not acute.

Good luck, will be thinking of you and gently squeezed your hand just then! X

Welcome to the newbies and heehee, I am sorry I did not register your mc in march. You have been through a lot, but it is all positive on this thread and it is going to stay like that x

tedmundo · 04/07/2012 13:41

Nice one eric .. Let us know how you get on! good luck.

Ps CONGRATS to all the newbies. It is getting busy here!

jess .. No, never read the book but ds2's playgroup mummies are all atwitter about it!

kurlyvoice · 04/07/2012 16:46

Congrats to all the newbies and welcome to the thread - it's super comfy here!

On my phone and don't have long so just wanted to say that I hope everything is ok with Eric.

I took my last cbdigi this morning which came up nice and quickly with 3+ weeks just as I had hoped for, so that has helped me feel positive today.

On the gender front, I'd quite like a girl at some point but we've always thought we'd have three and having two boys close in age would be super cute too! DH is the same. Am only just starting to read 50 Shades of Grey so it hasn't affected us (and probably won't given nausea and knackeredness!)...

ChiefTittifer · 04/07/2012 17:12

Hi all. Eric, really hoping you're ok. For others on the thread, the reason you must always tell a HCP about cramp and shoulder tip pain in early pregnancy is because it can be a warning of an ectopic pregnancy, which needs urgent medical attention. Really hoping it's a false alarm, Eric.

bbface · 04/07/2012 17:33

Thinking of you Eric x

tiddleypompom · 04/07/2012 18:03

Me too x

Popinda · 04/07/2012 18:35

Pains not getting better, had a bit of brown discharge! Sad very worried! Phone doc and he sent me to a&e as too late for app. Sad

kurlyvoice · 04/07/2012 18:49

Oh Popinda, poor you, how worrying these little pips are. They always say that brown discharge is not to be worried about but glad that they are taking you seriously.

Fingers crossed for everyone having scares.

EricNorthmansFangBanger · 04/07/2012 18:55

Well ladies, definitely looks like everything is ok! He felt my tummy and got me to do a few things with my shoulder. Had a quick internal whilst he pressed on certain areas of my tummy. It didn't hurt whilst he was doing any of that, which he said it would have done if it was ectopic etc. So it's good news :)
Thank you for your messages.

He just said that if the pain gets worse or I have any kind of bleeding go straight to A&E, but he thinks all is fine. He has no idea what's causing shoulder pain. Have my midwife appointment tomorrow.

popinda - really hope all is ok xx

bbface · 04/07/2012 19:17

Eric fab news. I was on tenterhooks, odd how we do not actually know one another. I guess that we all have this little secret unites us!
Popinda, brown is generally absolutely fine by all accounts. Bright red is a flag, but then not even for definite. I will be thinking of you tonight, be strong xxx

MrsBradleyCooper · 04/07/2012 19:21

Oh I bet that is a relief Eric Smile so pleased for you.

Popinda - I had similar with DC1 - went to A&E and was examined but they couldn't really tell what was happening. They booked me for an early scan at 6 weeks and all was well - saw the little flicker of a heartbeat Smile

Fingers crossed for you - let us know how you get on xx

tiddleypompom · 04/07/2012 19:31

eric that's great news. I too was thinking about you all afternoon.

popinda you poor thing. I do hope you are seen to promptly & they can put your mind at ease. What a worry for you. Transferring positive vibes & love to you...x

Popinda · 04/07/2012 20:08

Thank you all for your lovely wishes. In a&e now, had my blood taken and waiting for the results. Fx all fine. Pain still very sharp.

ChiefTittifer · 04/07/2012 20:16

Ah, Pop, you poor thing. Got my fingers crossed for you.

Eric, really glad to hear that yours was a false alarm. From what I understand as a total hypochondriac, shoulder tip pain is usually a fairly late symptom of an ectopic, something to do with referred pain from the abdo. But always worth getting checked out.

tiddleypompom · 04/07/2012 20:16

Fx pops. Hope you're out of there with good news v soon.

Em2010 · 04/07/2012 20:24

Oh gosh! What a day! Really glad all is ok with you eric. My thoughts are with you popinda, I'm keeping everything crossed for you.
