Water is healthy anyway :) I've been also drinking decaf tea black (weak) with lemon juice & sometimes a small spoonful of honey. Started it because of a sore throat but I actually find it's very refreshing and also better than milky tea for digestion.

Finally got a visible bump :) someone offered commiserations about it yesterday though which was weird as I'm actually quite proud of it! Went shopping for maternity clothes this afternoon but I couldn't find any cropped trousers, anywhere, that weren't skin tight. I got some cropped jeans in New Look in the end but they weren't really what I had in mind. Has anyone seen any anywhere? (cheaper would be better!)

Clarella · 18/06/2012 23:11

giraffe Did you try H and M?

Cherry, I really took to lime squeezed into cold water, the tiniest bit of sugar added but not sure if helps with sickness. I weirdly craved my usual darjeeling and hated all my herbal teas but citrus stuff seemed to do the job. A friend added limes to ginger beer and it was lush!

SpottyTeacakes · 19/06/2012 06:17

I'm so, so nervous Sad I hope everything's ok. I really want pâté on toast double Sad

Has anyone found any nice maternity jeans? I want skinny flare bit seems they went out of fashion a while back Wink I find h&m miles too long.

Cookiesandcream06 · 19/06/2012 07:15

Just a quick question in a moment of panic . Dd just jumped directly straight onto my stomach. She weighs over 3 stone and it was her bottom that came crashing down just above my pelvic bone.
Especially as I have resus neg blood, should I go to A&E?

SpottyTeacakes · 19/06/2012 07:19

Cookies I think you have to go get your anti d jab (or whatever it's called) if you have a knock to the stomach. You could always ring the labour ward for advice, as no one will be in antenatal for a couple of hours

Chloe55 · 19/06/2012 08:54

cookies I'm sure everything will be fine but I would def call the midwife and def go to a & e if u have any bleeding.

I have a middle ear infection so am currently bed bound as even standing makes me nearly fall over, it sucks, I don't get sick pay so will really struggle now this month Sad

knottyhair · 19/06/2012 09:22

Cookies, as Chloe says, it's probably all ok but get some reassurance. Spotty and livismum, good luck for your scans today (and anyone else who has one today!). Chloe, sorry you're ill in bed, that sounds nasty. Hope it improves soon.

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 19/06/2012 09:30

Mine is tomorrow , I'm quite nervous though and will be glad when I know everything is ok

WeeJo08 · 19/06/2012 10:30

Giraffe I bought these ones from JoMaman Bebé and I find them really comfy though they're still a little bit big at the moment. I'm wearing them today seeing as it looks (briefly!) like summer! www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/sp+twill-cropped-maternity-trousers-in-trousers+B4027

Livismum & Spotty Hope everything goes well today!

Sorry to those who are still feeling poorly :( I hope it passes soon.

ellliebelle · 19/06/2012 11:18

good luck for scans today ladies 2 sleeps till mine :)

Cookiesandcream06 · 19/06/2012 11:46

livismum and spotty best of luck at your scans.
At the hospital I had my anti D injection and listened to babbas heartbeat. Was so loud and clear it was amazing and a massive reassurance. They found it really easily too.. Now I'm debating purchasing a monitor ..

Thanks everyone for the advice, I'm now skiving off work for the day in the sunshine Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 19/06/2012 12:00

Had scan all good Grin best do some online shopping! Baby was right up by my belly button!

Argh I can't find any jeans anywhere!! They are all practically straight leg jeans which are not good on me :(

giraffe213 · 19/06/2012 13:04

Thanks Clarella & WeeJo, I did try H&M but might look again online. What I found seemed too small even in a bigger size than I usually wear, but I think that was the style & I'm just being fussy. I probably will try JoMamanBebe as those ones look nice. Was just hoping to spend a bit less!

StrawberrytallCAKE · 19/06/2012 13:04

Ooh congrats on scan spotty I found some bootleg jeans on seraphine. They fit really well imo, some are on sale at the moment too, might be worth a look.

livismum · 19/06/2012 13:13

Not good news from me I'm afraid Sad
Turns out I'm having a molar pregnancy, no baby Sad Go in on Thursday to have procedure to remove and will have extensive follow up to check recovery. No TTC for a good while till I get all clear, don't want to bring the thread down and wish u all happy, healthy pregnancies.
Never heard of this condition before and I'm very shocked, sad and entering the unknown, staff were great at hospital, just glad I have my DD's to cuddle and DH is being very sweet.

Clarella · 19/06/2012 13:15

Great news on scans and heartbeats!

Had 16 wk mw appt and apparently heart heartbeat though I could only hear my pulse - possibly a word of warning on the monitors, midwives said the ones they use are not the easiest to find a hb with and depends on where baby is, she'd warned me I may not hear it and I wouldn't have worked what I did hear out. Of course hers might be a rubbish one!

I find her very non plussed and a bit of a brick wall. Bored even. The ladies at the hospital seem much more friendly and open to questions, discussion chat etc. Anyone else lack confidence in their mw?

Clarella · 19/06/2012 13:18

She did say it was moving around a lot though hence lack of clear heartbeat!

I have been wondering if I feel wind or wriggles, particularly always at yoga (though that does seem to trigger farts) (very hard when everyone else is standing on their head silently concentrating!)
