Hi everyone, as we were close to the 1000 message limit i thought i should start a new thread so we could link this one (and we don't all end up wandering in cyberspace for a few days again Grin)

"Our Organic Dark 70% Chocolate bar contains 6 mg of caffeine" (thats a 100g bar so hurrah! not much Grin

CODwidow · 27/06/2012 17:48

I think really it's personal choice and dh doesn't get involved in what I eat/drink to be honest as he knows i'm pretty sensible.
I'm happy to eat rare steak, runny eggs and drink herbal teas. I've even had 2 cups of coffee today. I've never been Ill from these things and as long as I've bought it and I've cooked it I'm happy with that. Also I checked with mw who seems happy with this also.

I usually stay away from alcohol totally but may have the odd shandy now and again.
I don't think it means you worry or care any less but some things are just personal choice.

Bought a pk of muslin cloths today, at least I can say I've started GrinGrin

CODwidow · 27/06/2012 17:51

Also has anyone bought maternity jeans yet and can recommend?? I don't need them yet but thinking may do in the next 4 weeks or so? I like over bump ones and I'm 5"7 Smile

CakeBump · 27/06/2012 17:54

I've just bought my second pair from Seraphine. They got some bootlegs in the sale at the moment which are brilliant - really flattering and comfortable.

They have over bump ones too which I really want but they're out of my size at the minute....

CakeBump · 27/06/2012 17:56

My DP doesn't get involved in what I eat or drink either. In fact I sometimes get annoyed because he forgets I'm pregnant and doesn't cook my meat through, or asks if I want a glass of wine every two minutes....

He's only just recently stopped asking me to move heavy stuff around in the restaurant, after me complaining that he doesn't treat me carefully enough!!

SpottyTeacakes · 27/06/2012 17:58

I got mine from mamas & papas and really like them. Next ones are awful IMO.

JoJoB77 · 27/06/2012 18:09

I found Asda over bump jeans to be good last time, havent looked in there lately tho.

I can second Next being crap, i bought some under bump chinos last week in my size & they are huge & shapeless. Whats that all about?!

Clarella · 27/06/2012 18:11

I was surprised how nice the topshop ones were though my bum has now out grown the ones i bought at 10 weeks and ill actually wear them after preg (skinny black ones)

Tell you what really annoys me is bloody pharmacists making a song and dance about anything! I'm sure a glycerine pessary is going to be have less of a 'pushing / contracting' effect than actually attempting to go when very constipated! (no need for them now thank god)

SpottyTeacakes · 27/06/2012 18:13

JoJo I wonder if we bought the same ones they were just massive on my legs and more straight than bootcut

CakeBump · 27/06/2012 18:15

I don't get wearing shapeless trousers when you're pg - you look big enough up top, so I'm planning on wearing the most slimming style possible on my bottom half!

In fact I've just bought what can only be described as maternity, denim "hotpants" with a bit of persuasion from DP . Is that wrong? Having second thoughts already, but the mamas and papas ones looked too long and baggy...

JoJoB77 · 27/06/2012 18:16

These ones are straight leg Spotty but so huge at the top of my legs, they look a bit like clown trousers Grin

JoJoB77 · 27/06/2012 18:18

We'll all be living in joggers by the time we're getting towards to end Smile or is that just me....Grin

annelid · 27/06/2012 18:22

Joggers for me! So comfy.

Clarella · 27/06/2012 18:23

Im really tempted to get those topshop maternity wet look leggings - just for the hell of it! (though doesnt really fit with save save save budget plan)

SpottyTeacakes · 27/06/2012 18:23

I will definitely be in joggers by the end and leggings from about six months probably. I like over the bump to start with but after a while I hate it Grin

PurplePidjin · 27/06/2012 18:28

Pyjamas here. And I've been given a couple of frocks so i can put one of them on if i need milk or something!

JoJoB77 · 27/06/2012 18:32

Grin at putting on a frock to get milk

I don't plan on leaving the house for a good while after baby is born, god i'm going to look a mess Grin but i don't care

CODwidow · 27/06/2012 18:34

I think I'll try the new look ones I've seen in skinny as they look like they'd fit well. They have a few nice bits for the cooler summer we seem to be having.
I usually manage to get to 8 months before the joggers come out but now leggings are about again I guess they'll be handy! I'll have no choice but to go out as the school run will need to be done so no pj's for me although it's very tempting Grin

Barbeasty · 27/06/2012 18:55

I'm 5ft7 and have over the bump boot legs from Jojo Maman Bebe, which I like.

We saw the midwife today and heard the heartbeat, and I'm glad because I haven't felt movement yet and had by this point last time.

I won't see her again now until 28 weeks!

SpottyTeacakes · 27/06/2012 18:56

Wow Barbeasty that's such a long time! Is that the same for everyone?

CODwidow · 27/06/2012 19:13

I'll see mine again at 25 weeks.

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 27/06/2012 19:38

I get seen at 16 weeks. 28, 34 38 weeks by midwife and 36 weeks by docs and that's it :)

I have a load of maxi type dresses a lovely few pairs of jeans I was given and a few long tops. I still have a hangover from my divorce and only wear exercise joggers (more Lycra than comfort) so don't think I'm gunna get to a joggers state of affairs. Thank god I got over the full face of make up every day or I'd never get to leave the house once the baby comes! Lol

Nearly got an extra scan today as the useless receptionist had booked me for a scan and bloods, but I opened my mouth and told them I wasn't supposed to be there Sad

Is anybody else getting bad hip pain? I've been in so much pain today I want to cry!

pmgkt · 27/06/2012 19:39

i tried posting earlier but my phone is playing up. Last time my midwife said that pate was listed as posing a risk for food posioning but she had never heard of anyone who had ever been ill as a result of pate. There is a risk of too much vit k which is in the liver, but she said that a little wouldnt hurt just dont eat loads.

SpottyTeacakes · 27/06/2012 19:41

I've had a bit of hip/back pain it's all the ligaments stretching I suppose Sad I have bad hips anyway though so hard to tell what's what sometimes!

CODwidow · 27/06/2012 20:20

I had spd in all of my previous pregnancies so really hoping that doesn't show itself again. I've had quite a bit of ligament pain today but mw did say that from 16 weeks you start to put on the most weight as baby grows pretty rapidly for a bit now Smile
