Hi everyone, as we were close to the 1000 message limit i thought i should start a new thread so we could link this one (and we don't all end up wandering in cyberspace for a few days again Grin)

PurplePidjin · 22/06/2012 14:14

Cakey, you definitely should :o

SpottyTeacakes · 22/06/2012 14:15

Oh a wedding how exciting!!

I have a consultant appointment at 15+6 anyway so I'll get to hear it then I'm sure.

knottyhair · 22/06/2012 14:19

Ooh congrats CakeBump! I've got a consultant appt at 15+1 as well so maybe I'll get to hear it then as well Spotty. I hadn't thought of that Blush.

Bubbless · 22/06/2012 14:34

this is unfair, i want my bump! i just look flabby! aha

cake ohhhh, how exciting! im sure you will look fab in your dress :D

my next mw appt isnt until the 19th july!!

brooke89 · 22/06/2012 14:37

Sure you will hear it I had my 16 week appt on tues when I was 14+5 and I heard it Smile

CakeBump · 22/06/2012 14:38

Thanks everyone. I tried it on at 12 weeks and was astonished when the lady could hardly get the zip up! That was when I really realised I had a bump Blush

They have put in a lace up back now so I can eat as much chocolate as I like (in theory :) )

I'm going swimming lots as I'm determined that even if my belly is massive, my arms will be toned and thin....

Cookiesandcream06 · 22/06/2012 14:43

They found mine straight away at 14+5 it was so Loud and clear. It does depend how babba is laying.

Good news on scan bubbles

Do people know where their uterus is? Mine is hidden beneath fat but MW said it was just below my belly button when she felt. I wish I didn't just look a fatty Sad damn those McDonalds..

SpottyTeacakes · 22/06/2012 14:47

Well baby is just under my belly button so it's around there somewhere Confused I think we all look flabby until about five months when the bump starts getting harder Grin

Clarella · 22/06/2012 15:31

'i'm not pregnant' shirt alert!

Can't find it online but French connection have a cotton over the head loose shirt in.the sale with simple pleats on the front, sleeves which are buttoned at elbow lenghts but best of all is flattering and bump hiding and long ish. It's in black or creamy white, the white is a little cheaper at 20 quid and needs a top under. Wasn't supposed to be looking at all but will be v useful with a bigger bumpand also bearable afterwards :) (am I in denial?!)

It was sort of to make up for another nhs blood cockup which results in me having to phone all and sundry to find out if it matters or not - had it done in the end.

Welcome newbies! Good scan news ladies :) thanks for the bio oil info too! I'll dig mine out.

acjfluff · 22/06/2012 15:34

Don't worry cakebump I've got to fit into my wedding dress at 29 weeks Confused

Am stressed out by maternity pay after speaking to my LA (I'm a teacher). I didn't realise how rubbish it was!!

Looking forward to my 16 week appointment next Wednesday especially hearing about all these heartbeats :)

No real bump here, just an overall increase in fat tummy Blush

Clarella · 22/06/2012 15:50

Ooo weddings! How exciting!

Why is it rubbish acj? I'm a teacher too.

SpottyTeacakes · 22/06/2012 15:56

Mine's rubbish too I don't earn enough for the full SMP so only get 90% of my wages throughout

CODwidow · 22/06/2012 16:39

I'll hopefully hear mine on tues when I have my 16 week appt I'll be 15+6 then.

CODwidow · 22/06/2012 16:42

I think I was at least 22 weeks with my others before I had a definate bump but I am about 2 stone lighter this time so that may make a difference?

CakeBump · 22/06/2012 16:43

I get three months MP if I'm lucky and more than likely will get nothing, as my employers are shitbags and don't care about my legal rights (non UK)

My bump feels a bit like a water balloon, and bulges out at the sides. Where there's fat it just feels like normal fat but at the sides and the top (I usually have a pot belly Blush ) it's definitely harder.

My boobs have gone up 3 to 4 sizes and feel quite hard, sort of heavy too. I've just been for a run and had to hang onto them on the downhill parts, even with my new sports bra on Blush

CODwidow · 22/06/2012 16:50

Now my boobs!Blush yes they have certainly appeared from nowhere in the last week or so!

Mummycox · 22/06/2012 16:53

Thank you ladies.

Bio oil had definitely worked so far, been using it since I found out and so far so good. Bloody expensive though.

Flutters are getting stronger this week (16+4 today) Smile

acjfluff · 22/06/2012 16:58

Clarella I was surprised because 4 weeks full pay, 2 weeks 90% then 12 weeks 50%. Maybe I was naive but I thought it was longer on full pay before the drop.

It will make maternity leave a struggle as my DP is a student so I'm sole earner. Hopefully he'll be done by the end of December so he can get a job and I can stay off longer with baby!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 22/06/2012 17:13

Tip to find your uterus, try after an orgasm Blush it's rock hard then!

Mines hard from my pubic bond to about an inch under my belly button, I can only feel it when lying on my back!

Welcome newbies.

I work 3.5 hours a week, and am temping. Will i get some mat pay from my "hobby"? Am i entitled to any benefits? We'll get tax credits through dp's work, what else is there?

FriendofDorothy · 22/06/2012 17:24

I think I am quite fortunate as I will get 5 months full pay, but I am pretty sure I will have to go back to work straight after that. I would love to take a year off but we are buying a house and will need my salary to pay the mortgage.

SpottyTeacakes · 22/06/2012 17:53

Go to entitled to and put it in as if you've just had a baby and it will tell you what you can get pidj that's how I'm going to work out if we will be better/worse/same if I stop working Smile

PurplePidjin · 22/06/2012 17:56

There's no point in me going back to work and putting PidjChick in childcare when my work is... Childcare. So we're just going to put up with one income plus my youth work tbh. It's not like I've got a potentially lucrative fledgling career Wink

FriendofDorothy · 22/06/2012 18:02

I seriously wish I didn't have to go back to work!

brooke89 · 22/06/2012 18:14

90% is good! I work for lloyds and we only get 6 weeks full and then the rest is half! Going to be a struggle!
