Thought I'd get the ball rolling as I know there have been some BFPs in the last few days on here.....

Just got a confirmatory BFP on a clear blue. This will be DC2, DC1 will be two in two weeks!

So grab a seat, buckle up and enjoy the vino soft drinks on offer.

Ps is it really bad that I am craving a jug of Pimm's?!

QueenOfTheDrama · 19/06/2012 16:23

Oh I hope its soon too something - can't wait for you to tell us all about it Smile

Welcome back pickle! Hope you had a nice time? What did you do to hide the fact you weren't drinking?

bean well done on at least having a go at gardening. As soon as I get in from work every day its PJs and sofa, too knackered to do much else! House is a mess!

somethingwittynot · 19/06/2012 16:24

i hope its soon to!! god im so impatient haha

DinkyPenguin · 19/06/2012 16:27

I'm feeling shattered today. Feel like I could literally put my head on my desk and nod off.... Not the best while I'm at work really.

Also I've nearly eaten half a pack of ginger biscuits that I had in my desk drawer 'in case I feel sick'. Not that I feel nauseous or anything just because I can't stop eating! Arrgghh!

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 19/06/2012 16:29

It was so easy. I started the day by saying I fancied a fag, and pinched one waved it around then got rid of it, and after that I was above suspicion! Just drank orange juice etc and kept saying I'd drank myself sober.

carries · 19/06/2012 16:43

Got the official drs test back - positive & got my 8 week midwife appt for 5th July.

I'm craving fresh smoothies from Zumo juice bar! I've got mild nausea eased by eating :). I know I keep saying this but it's so hard not tell friends & family. 1st 2 pregnancies I told nearest & dearest by 5 weeks. But I'm nervous about telling folk cos its so unexpected. I'm slightly worried my MIL & my parents will go into shock. They weren't expecting anymore grand kids.

DinkyPenguin · 19/06/2012 16:48

Just had a call from the MW. Was told she would call tomorrow so it was a bit unexpected. Have the first meeting with her on Tuesday next week. She's coming to the house.

How exciting! Now just have to think of an excuse as to why I have to leave work at 2.30! I feel there may be something being delivered and I'll have to work from home.......

BeanDunne · 19/06/2012 16:52

Queen i have the day off and am growing my own flowers for the wedding but the weeds and slugs are taking over so i HAD to do it. im totally regretting it now. eugh

Sonics · 19/06/2012 17:38

Good news on your early scan something. Fingers crossed.

I'm going to aerobics tonight. Going to take it easy and see how I get on. Hoping to maintain a small level of fitness over the next few months. Although I'd much rather just go home and flop on the sofa!

Going back to the POAS convo - I've done 4 so far. I've got 1 digital left and I'm saving it until thurs, which will be a week since I did the last one, so I can check things are moving along. I just want to fast forward the next 7 weeks until I know everything's fine and I can tell people. I am the most impatient person at the best of times - this is really going to test my patience levels I think!

Any plans for the evening?

Sonics · 19/06/2012 17:40

Actually I don't think POAS was even in this thread. Going mad. Sorry!

QueenOfTheDrama · 19/06/2012 18:10

Well done pickle! I would not have been able to keep a straight face while just drinking orange juice instead of vodka/orange Smile

carries I was really nervous about telling my parents too but was glad I did as they've been great so far. Plus whenever I'm round there they wait on me hand and foot which is nice!

bean you're growing your own wedding flowers? That is such a lovely idea! I think I might have a girl crush on you Grin

Great that your mw app is all sorted dinky! Let us know how it goes! My app isn't until 6th July, still seems so long away!

Baby brain already sonics? Wink I think you're actually quite tame though - I 've POAS about 20 times!! In my defence I'd taken delivery of a new batch of internet cheapies only days before I got my BFP so I had a bag full of tests which would have gone to waste otherwise!

CrazySexyCool123 · 19/06/2012 18:10

Hello all! Managed to get slightly better zzz last night tho was still up with DS about half 3, slept with him in tiny toddler bed for about an hour til I woke up with pins and needles in my arm which was wedged under him and then managed to retreat back to our room without waking him and he stayed down til 7. Not enjoying this 4 day sleep protest!! Sat and read all about potty training today, think I'm going to start him just getting used to sitting on loo and buy him training nappies next month (he's 2 in Aug) - really determined to have him trained by the time new baby comes!

Adding to list (is there a more condensed way we can format this btw?? Takes forever to scroll thru on the phone hee!) Also sticking you in there sonics

Hello all. Spoke with the midwife today, got my booking in appointment booked when ill b 8.5weeks ish so thats something to focus on. She said about the "gas" that its quite normal and that she didnt recommened i take anything for it. (was hoping for a magic pill) I have had a bit of spotting also, she said if i notice it from next week onwards (i.e. when im 6 weeks plus) to let them know and they might consider a scan.

LittleMissSnowShine · 19/06/2012 18:29

Yay about the early scan something - I had one at 6 weeks last time and seeing the heartbeat on the screen was really lovely! Hopefully I'll get an early(ish) one too, since my dates will be a bit out cos of irregular cycles...((crosses fingers))

Bean - Love that you're growing your own wedding flowers! We had little mini rose bushes as part of our DIY table centre pieces that people could take home at the end of the night - maybe this grow your own / putting plants on tables is an irish thing? hee

Sonics - Let us know how you get on at aerobics. I'm going to zumba 2moro night, I usually go once a week but I missed last week and this is my first zumba class post-BFP. I didn't do loads of exercise during last preg apart from walking and a bit of swimming cos I was wretchedly ill and then I had SPD but hoping for a v diff experience this time round.

Dinky - Also feeling wrecked today! Going to dye my hair, have a bath and read pregnancy magazine this evening. Bliss Grin

Splinters · 19/06/2012 18:39

Thanks for all your good farting wishes everyone! Pain pretty much gone by the time I got to dr and he said it didn't sound like anything to worry about. He was v nice but seemed slightly surprised I could know already -- I really wished I had my magic stick in my handbag so I could make him look at it and hear someone not me or dh say 'yeah, you definitely are pregnant'. Is anyone else scared that it's all a giant mistake and there's nothing in there? Pinkie, was it you I was taking the mick out of yesterday about repeated poasing? Because I completely take it back..

But I have an official due date of 23rd Feb now, and an MW appt. on 12th July!

Pickle glad you had a good weekend, you get today's prize for cunning!
Something v excited for you, hope it's soon. You must tell us all about it!

BeanDunne · 19/06/2012 18:51

This sucks everyone is getting midwife appointments and i have to go back to the doctor at the end of july to get my midwife appointment.

Im going to start throwing toys Grin

Pinkie29 · 19/06/2012 19:16

Splinters yep haha! I'll probably poas until I run out Grin

I have my mw appointment on Friday, feeling very sick at the minute ick!

QueenOfTheDrama · 19/06/2012 19:22

I'm still POAS too! Only got a couple left now though. When I do them now the line comes up immediately and is darker than the control line. Would it be madness to order more cheapo sticks, I don't think I'll ever get sick of seeing that line come up!

Glad doctors went well splinters!

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 19/06/2012 19:29

Bean if it mAkes you feel better I got none! Got to book my own scan in! I'm in wales going to start a revolt.

Tight buggers.

eggandbean · 19/06/2012 19:49

Gosh it was only 24 hours since I last posted but I feel like I've missed loads!

Bean - so sorry to hear about your horrid horrid day at work. At least you have wedding and bean to concentrate on to get you through.. stoopid work, it gets in the way of everything!

Queenmarigold - me too, I am just eating SO much to stop myself feeling sick, I am convinced I look pg already but it's just fat, argh!

I got a new symptom today, tingly fingertips, very weird! Only lasted a couple of hours. Hadn't heard of nosebleeds before but will carry extra tissues round now, just in case like..

Right, time to add myself to the wonderful roll call list!

morecoffeemorecoffee · 19/06/2012 20:00

Bean, how lovely growing your own flowers! I remember the run up to my wedding...there was so much to do! You must be shattered!

Splinters, glad your pains have gone, must be a relief :)

Grr, I'm hungry, really hungry but every time I try to prepare food I feel sick :(

On the plus side, seeing midwife tomorrow! Can't wait! :) I'm a bit worried about this pregnancy as my last two births were csections. I'm worried that there may be a lot of starring and worry about the strain on my uterus.

morecoffeemorecoffee · 19/06/2012 20:01

Called docs today and the receptionist booked me straight in with midwife saying: "she won't want to see you till you're about 10 weeks". Then she booked me in for 1st August at 10.30am. I said "do you have anything earlier?" and she said you could probably come at 10am. That's not really what I meant. But she scares me so I kept schtum.

Is it normal to have your booking in appointment at 10.5 weeks these days? I'm sure I went in about 6weeks with DD1. Although I may have forgotten. Don't really remember anything about pregnancy... it was obliterated by the birth haha.

Is it because it's number 2? I'm feeling unloved by the NHS.
