Thought I'd get the ball rolling as I know there have been some BFPs in the last few days on here.....

Just got a confirmatory BFP on a clear blue. This will be DC2, DC1 will be two in two weeks!

So grab a seat, buckle up and enjoy the vino soft drinks on offer.

Ps is it really bad that I am craving a jug of Pimm's?!

sonics bean glad its not just me - my belly hurts so much its so swollen. I had to change into comfy PJs as soon as I got home today. Have lost my appetite too, eating makes the bloat worse and more painful. DH had to force some soup down me just to make sure I'm eating. Want to cry, all I feel like doing is lying on the sofa and sleeping. Sorry for the moan. Blush

Sorry that work was crap today bean but how fab that you got all that stuff along with your cot! We have almost new drawers and wardrobe in our spare room so going to use them I think so only really need a cot in the way of nursery furniture. Really can't wait to start buying stuff Smile

dinky when does your ex-colleague need to know about the job? sod's law that is!

pinkie silvercross prams are beautiful aren't they? I have my heart set on an icandy at the mo as think it would suit my lifestyle well but going to try one out in the shop before I decide.

Welcome welsh wow 4yrs is a long time to wait - big congrats to you!

egg I'm not going to take my DH to mw app either so finding out family history then going alone sounds good to me Smile

Oh hope you get to see that heartbeat brimful - how many weeks are you now?

QueenOfTheDrama · 18/06/2012 20:53

x-post with morecoffee - my bloat was threatening to burst out of my work pants today! I'm sure my colleagues just think I'm getting fat though Sad

somethingwittynot · 18/06/2012 20:53

GP tomorrow im excited! im not to sure of dates so will emphasize that and maybe get an early scan (hopeful)

morecoffeemorecoffee · 18/06/2012 21:01

queen can totally sympathise with how you're feeling! All I want to do is sleep at the moment. It's ridiculous! Had an easy day today as ds1 at school and ds2 at preschool but tomorrow will be tough as ds2 is home all day and is very energetic! He's already planned out the day- bike ride and park apparently!

I am also 'researching' pushchairs :)

morecoffeemorecoffee · 18/06/2012 21:03

Hope all goes well with gp tomorrow something :)

DinkyPenguin · 18/06/2012 21:09

queen he doesn't need to know immediately but I'm thinking maybe in a week or so. Not sure I can stretch it out for another 6 weeks till I have my 12 week scan! As you say, sods law!

Never mind I'm sure I'll think of something. Was touched that he thought of me tbh.

Sorry to hear some if you are suffering at the moment. I'm 6 weeks on Wednesday so am just waiting for the sickness to start. I gave stashes of ginger biscuits in my desk drawer at work, in my handbag at at home; just in case! Well that and the fact that I love them anyway! Ha ha

QueenOfTheDrama · 18/06/2012 21:20

Do you have nausea already dinky? I'm feeling sick on and off at the mo but not actually been sick yet. Hoping it doesn't get that bad but we'll see!

morecoffee hope you can find ways to chill out with your DS - plonk yourself on the park bench with a book while he plays perhaps?

Good luck for tomorrow something!

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 18/06/2012 21:32

My bloat hasn't gone down, despite the fact I am now 90% peppermint tea! Have been quite faint/dizzy this evening, anyone else dizzy?

LittleMissSnowShine · 18/06/2012 21:38

Hola newbies!

Good luck at gp 2moro something

morecoffee - oh u poor thing, im dreading the sickness! So worried I'll have HG again.and have no idea how we'll manage with DS if that does happen. Feeling ok at the min but early days

pinkie- I've never had a silver cross but they are often mentioned by.mums at my mum&toddler group as something they have ended up selling! That beung said, most houses near me are 1930s terraces with narrow halls and limited stoeage space so if u really love it and u hav the room, then why not!?

bean - sorry work & hormones conspiring to get u down.

After 3 nights of v broken sleep with DS im feeling a bit tetchy but I really think the moody and/or overly sensitive hormones hav now arrived with a vengeance Angry. Boobs sore too. Grumble! Had my monthly cinema and decaff coffee night with friends earlier on tho, slightly cheered up, cold and grumpy still! Early night and big bro for me

brimfullofasha · 18/06/2012 21:39

Thanks Queen the last scan put me at 7 weeks this week although I thought I was 8. Spotting has stopped though.

Sorry you've had a hard day bean It's frustrating not to be able to go 'I'm pregnant! Give me a break!'

something that's exciting about the GP tomorrow. Things are moving on!

Sorry to hear others are feeling bloated/tired/sick. On the bright side this is what we're meant to feel like. I know I'd be stressing if I didn't have symptoms. >looking on the bright side!

QueenOfTheDrama · 18/06/2012 21:51

You're right brimful if I had no symptoms I'd probably be moaning too!

I felt a couple of dizzy spells last week slightly but not for a few days. Seemed to be if I stood up too quickly or something.

littlemiss hope you manage to get some sleep tonight.

Queenmarigold · 18/06/2012 22:02

I feel sick all the time. It is horrible. and I'm STARVING - its the only thing that stops me feeling sick. I suspect this may be the reason why I am massive already ...!

Splinters · 18/06/2012 22:03

V sorry to hear about your work bully bean, sounds like an infuriating situation.

Hmm, bloating! Sounds like I have plenty to look forward to. Just feeling undefinably uncomfortable at the moment -- lower backachey, periody-crampy and feeling like I can't stay still. What I need is a rocking chair!

Pinkie29 · 18/06/2012 22:08

littlemiss you've just made a very good point!! Our house was built around 1890 mid terrace Victorian its a big house but the hallway as you come through the door is very narrow :/ didn't even think about it!

somethingwittynot · 18/06/2012 22:11

yeah im excited! only had 2 AFs since DS do hopefully i will get better dates

somethingwittynot · 18/06/2012 22:18

i know its early but were putting the deposist on our perfect pram tomorrow and then they will hold it for us until we make the payment then ship it

Crabapplebobbin · 18/06/2012 22:21

Hello,

Please can I join in. Did a test this morn and it looked pretty positive. By my calculations I'll be due 22nd Feb 2013.

This will be number two my daughter has just turned 2.

I'm really sorry for writing longhand but I'm a little confused about the acronyms on this site. What's an AF? And also what's an SIL?

Sorry... I'm new... Confused

xx

Splinters · 18/06/2012 22:24

Welcome Crabapple! And congrats! How are you feeling?

SIL= sister in law

AF = aunt flo = period. I do not like this particular acronym AT ALL and absolutely never ever use it I suggest you don't either

Splinters · 18/06/2012 22:26

Ooh, but there is a helpful list of other abbreviations -- link to glossary at bottom of the page under the smiley menu

Crabapplebobbin · 18/06/2012 22:31

Thank you Splinters. Ahhhh Aunt Flo. I get it. Ick.

Thanks for the congrats - I'm feeling fine. Bit crampy but I can't tell if I'm imagining it. Didn't really have any symptoms with my first (do I say DC1...?) except for a horribly runny nose. So I'll be stocking up on tissues.

QueenOfTheDrama · 18/06/2012 22:34

Welcome crab and congrats Smile

something that's not a bad idea about putting a deposit down for your pram. I was talking to a lady in mothercare on Saturday, she told me that if there's any big items I like in there then I can set up an account to pay them off over the pregnancy if I want rather than in one big go. I'm sure other shops do similar. Seems easier than having to fork out all at once.

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 18/06/2012 22:34

Oh I remember now I had loads and loads of nosebleeds in my last pregnancy, at the most inconvenient times eg when I didn't have a single tissue on me Angry will add that to my list of things to buy, so far I have tissues and remegel.

OP posts:
Sonics · 19/06/2012 06:52

Nosebleeds? That's a new one! I thought I knew all the preggo symptoms going but had no idea about this early bloatedness and never heard of nosebleeds.

To quite Rachel from friends "it's such a magical time!"

carries · 19/06/2012 07:08

Congrats to all who've joined since yesterday am! This thread is moving fast. There must have been a love bug in the air atend of may/beginning of June :).

I had a light headed/dizzy/feel a bit weird moment at work on Monday. I'm a baker (part-time) for a small coffee shop. and had been makIng cakes for 5hours. Standing obviously all that time. I had to sit and claim bring too hot & standing with head bent to for too long. Don't think anyone guessed Hmm. Also had horrendous wind all evening, pain was awful.

Finding it so hard not to talk about it. 6 weeks tomorrow. Might tell our parents.

BeanDunne · 19/06/2012 07:15
