Is it normal to have lots of pressure in bum area? I get sort of contractiony pains, tightenings that feel mainly associated with my arse (nice) is this normal (never been here before so have no idea!).

Hearing about waters breaking at friends house is making me think maybe I should consider taking some of these mats around with me: www.boots.com/en/Boots-Maternity-mats-5-pack_924022/ I bought them in a bit of a buying frenzy in a buy-2-get-one-free offer. Had no idea how big they are (one side is nearly a metre). Have a pack in car already. Guess they will be handy afterwards too.

Nothing's happening here, had the backache all yesterday right through till about 11:30pm then a few cramps this afternoon but nothing. Got backache again now but I'm ignoring it. Starting to think this might be a phantom pregnancy :0 Bit of a shame as MIL drove 150 miles ehre especially to support me as I was convinced something would happen this weekend and she's going home tomorrow morning.

1000fireflies I have just followed your advice and am now reading advice on exactly how I should be sticking my fingers up my lady bits. This is not how I normally spend a Sunday evening.

justwantcheese don't be too impressed, this is only happening because it allows me to play the martyr and moan a lot to my DH.

I know it's 26 pages!!!) somebody else had put a link in. Or just use the search for c-sec birth plan... Can anybody else help?

Thanks for all hte good luck wishes, have just eated a monster chinese take away and ice cream, have to be in hospital by 8am tomoz so leaving at 7am... just hope the flooding has eased off - we've had helicopter rescues nearby for the floods!

Have developed weird gurgling noises coming from around rib cage area,esp when sitting down. Bizarre feeling, but making me feel like joining hopeful gang, iykwim??!!
