ffnorm really feel for you, hopefully this time your waters will stay intact a bit longer. I can see why you are worried though Sad it's ironic that whilst everyone else is trying every trick in the book to speed up labour's arrival you'll be doing the opposite. I will keep thinking of you and sending 'stay put' vibes to mini ffnorm xx
small it is so lovely to hear you are up for a feed Smile one minute you're waiting then the next LO is here and it's all systems go! So pleased for you, such a cutie too.
Right I am going to try to get back to sleep.....

DairyNips · 07/06/2012 04:41

Just popping in cause I'm wide awake, I thought it was morning till I looked at the timeAngry bump feels a bit crampy but it's probably just wind as usual...

Not caught up properly yet, you were all super chatty yesterday!Smile

McKayz · 07/06/2012 04:55

Wide awake here too.

I wonder how Mamma is doing.

DairyNips · 07/06/2012 05:15

Ooh just scrolled back to see.. Wow so she could be in the thick of it right now! I've had some stomach cramps but they lasted about 7 minutes eachConfused Isn't that far too long for a contraction? No idea what's going on, can't bloody get back to sleep thoughAngry

McKayz · 07/06/2012 05:18

I've given up on sleep. No doubt the boys will be awake at 6 as usual.

DairyNips · 07/06/2012 05:23

I know, mine probably will be too..Hmm
I slept craply all night anyway, kept tossing and turning and having weird dreams.

Migh lay down and give it one last try but I was getting the cramps laying down and they seemed to have stopped now I'm say up. Probably just wind and the curry we had last night upsetting my stomach.

McKayz · 07/06/2012 05:41

I'm tempted to get up and do some housework or something. I hate lying in bed when I can't sleep.

CathFin · 07/06/2012 06:30

Morning! DS thinks 5am is morning. Saying that I only woke once to wee last night so all considered it was a good night.
Delightfully DS will cuddle then go off to entertain himself, unfortunately he then came back for another cuddle except with a pooey nappy - joy! Anyway we are all up now.

Midwife later - not expecting to get much out of it as I'm taking both kids as its half term!

Kveta - great news that everything is okay, am also hugely jealous of your kitchen aid!! How about a clash colour instead of matching your kitchen?

CathFin · 07/06/2012 06:34

ffnorm - any chance of your baby turning? Hope they sort you out with a proper appointment if not - amazing how they can be a bit sort of flippant about these bookings.

SSC - good luck!

blondiedollface · 07/06/2012 07:07

Midwife at 3pm. Today is the day I kick ass as much as a 39 week pg woman can anyway

Hoping to hear some news from tdw and Mamma later!!

Small You are an absolute seasoned pro, but wow, wham, bam life as normal with a newborn! I am worrying about how I will do it with one, let alone 3 other DC.. You really are incredible!

McKayz Dairy and Amethyst I hope you ladies got some sleep/rest in the end.

Ffnorm Fingers crossed you get a sooner date, or that LO magically turns for you Grin

Have a lovely day all Xx

Coops79 · 07/06/2012 07:19

Morning All - have midwife at 1.20pm today. Need to think of all the things I need to ask about hospital births. Have grand plans of cleaning the kitchen (this whole "nesting" malarkey doesn't come very naturally to me but I'm trying). Am debating changing my maternity leave start date. Currently it's set as 15th June (I'm due on 20th) but I'm a bit nervous about going in next week and waters breaking all over the floor. I imagine the kids would find it entertaining though. And if it happened on Tuesday it'd tie in nicely with my sex education class....

I am struggling a little this week but I do wonder whether that's to do with it being half term and thus I'm allowing myself to relax a little.

Lots of people appear to be ready to drop, ffnorm my sister managed to turn her baby with about 2 weeks to go using hypnobirthing methods. I have no idea if I buy into this or not, but she swears by it; could be worth a shot.

McKayz · 07/06/2012 07:23

SSC thinking of you!! Hope all goes well.

I fell back to sleep at 6. No sound from the boys yet!! I dreamt that the MW offered me a CS at today's appt and that they just did it at the doctors with the boys watching. Very strange.

Am I allowed to murder a school friend? Why ask if the baby is here yet? Surely I'd say on Facebook if she was here!!! Angry

rhihaf · 07/06/2012 07:48

Ffnorm - you poor thing :( sending gymnastic baby vibes your way in the hope that LO turns before your planned c-sec... have a Brew

Kveta - a KitchenAid??? How lucky are you? am VERY Envy , have you decided which colour yet? Cream might go nicely with green and any future kitchen colours...

Good luck everyone, sounds like things are really starting to move (sort of) on here [optimistic icon]

It's tipping it down outside here this morning! Am off to buy a cheap nightie and lightweight dressing gown today (after seeing midwife to check presentation) and anything else my brain can remember Confused

DairyNips · 07/06/2012 08:04

Slowly catching up..

Kveta Glad all is ok. Wow at the Kirchenaid! Super cool! I have a Kenwood kMix in red which is a similar kind of thing and I love it. May you have many happy cake mixing experiences Grin

Well I managed to fall back asleep till 7 ish then the boys came charging through at 7.30. They grabbed my phone and played 'livin' on a prayer' very loudly at me then ds2 accidentally stamped on my fanjo, just what I needed to wake me upHmm Cramps have kinda gone now although still have a dull ache. Midwife app at 10 which dh is coming to to help watch the boys.

DairyNips · 07/06/2012 08:07

ffnorm hope baby stays put till the cs date.. Try not to worry. I guess if you went in to labour you would just have to go straight in and they'd have to fit you in there and then.

McKayz · 07/06/2012 08:13

Can someone tell me why I thought a MW appt at 9am would be a good idea? Can I beg to be induced at 38 weeks using insanity as the reason? Grin

Kveta · 07/06/2012 08:17

McKayz I think murder may be the only suitable punishment for such questions. My mum yesterday said 'oh well, at least baby isn't early, that would be worse' as if a) that was a fucking option now, and b) I was saying I'd prefer prem to overdue. FFS.

ffnorm how crap, I guess you'd be getting an emcs if your waters broke before next week though? just another bit of pregnancy crap to worry about though, as if just being heavily pg wasn't enough.

coops I planned to finish work at 39 weeks, and only made it to 38 in the end - take as much time as you can now, you won't get it back, and you need to rest whilst you still can! Warlin finished work at 37 weeks and her DS arrived at 37+2, so she can tell you more about when to finish work!!

rhiraf not sure what colour, will see what tate and lyle offer me - it may be they only have one colour, or they may give me a whole range to choose from! I think I like a nice dark blue, but will see!

well, weather here matches my mood perfectly - grey, miserable, threatening to break. So no getting DH out of the house so I can watch crappy films :( And DS is being as, well, 2 year old as usual. Taking him and FIL into town souvenir shopping then out for lunch. then I will be retiring to bed for a long nap! was woken at 2am by a toddler sized foot in my mouth, then repeatedly smacked in the face as he flailed around trying to get comfy in our bed. So that, along with general crampiness of late pg, made for a pretty pointless night.

hope other folk are feeling sunnier of disposition than I am today!!

McKayz · 07/06/2012 08:21

Ffnorm My SIL went into labour before her planned CS date and she went into hospital and did the CS then.

AmethystMoon · 07/06/2012 08:30

Well I managed to get an hours sleep and then DP woke me with a cup of tea Smile
mamma any news?
cathfin wow only one wee that's a good night, good luck with your MW appt.
coops good luck with your MW appt. and am mightily impressed you're not on maternity leave yet. You are due 3 days before me. I stopped at the end of last week but am still doing some work from home, but that is much easier.
SSC good luck I am thinking of you x
mckayz I know, people ask some bloody stupid questions don't they? I had some one ask me to my face, I have a huge bump... Hello!?!? Good luck with your MW, and might be worth trying an insanity plea for a CS Grin
rhihaf I got a cheap 'waffle' fabric lightweight dressing gown and some button front night shirts very cheap from Primark, the idea being if I trash them I won't mind too much but they actually look quite nice. All in navy and white.
dairy your awakening this morning had me in stitches, although I am sure it wasn't so funny at the time! Good luck with your MW.
It seems like everyone is seeing their MW today. I don't have an appointment for another two weeks, I'll be 39+3. She actually said to me when she made the appointment, "well that's I'd you need it, baby might arrive before then!" aargh!!! Noooo that makes it all seem too real Grin
Have great days everyone, I am off to see my friend today for tea n gossip.... Seems so alien to be able to do things like that during the day.... Loving maternity leave Grin ..... Well at the moment Wink

StarlightMaJesty · 07/06/2012 08:41

Thanks ceej. Good idea!

Thinking of you SSC and looking forward to news!

Good luck to those who were in early labour last night. Hoping for news!

Yay!

Congratulations!!!!!!!Grin

StarlightMaJesty · 07/06/2012 08:50

Ooh, I've fallen off the list.

ffnorm · 07/06/2012 09:00

Thanks for all the nice words!! I asked about an earlier date and they said there was no way they could bring it forward as every day has it's allocated no of elective sections. If I go into labour/waters break they will do the section on the emergency list but for me it's added an element of unnecessary worry I tend to be a bit of a worrier I will hope that she miraculously turns but as I am 39 weeks tomorrow, that is looking less and less likely Sad

I was more upset than I thought yesterday as I spent a good while crying last night about the fact that on yesterdays scan she is estimated at 4.1kg (9lb3) and is she going to be a big fatty while her brother is quite skinny and she won't fit into the newborn clothes etc etc all completely unreasonable thoughts, that DH comforted really well At least my mom arrives on Saturday for 6 weeks...

Thinking of SSC hope it's all going smoother than yesterday!

Small sounds like the pro that she is,posting while feeding Grin

McK booking a 9am MW app was seriously insane - especially in half term Grin

Rhih I got cheap button front nighties at Matalan.

Hoping that the quietness from Mama and TDW is because they are in the throws of labour Wink

ffnorm · 07/06/2012 09:02

Sorry Starlight - my fault cos I copied and posted from the OP not the most recent list [hangs head in shame]
