Kveta Glad all is ok with you and baby!

I can't wait for bedtime!

Kveta · 06/06/2012 17:31

squeeeeee! I just won a kitchenaid!!! :o :o :o what a bizarre day!!!!

OP posts:
McKayz · 06/06/2012 17:33

Oh Kveta I am so Envy I have asked DH for one for Xmas.

emblosion · 06/06/2012 17:34

Phew Kveta glad everything is ok :)

emblosion · 06/06/2012 17:35

....and v jealous of kitchen aid!

ceeej · 06/06/2012 17:43

Phew, glad all is OK kveta, maybe she'll make up for the worry by sleeping well once she's out :) also, woooop woooop for the kitchenaid.

SSC sounds like your morning was a bit of a palaver, best of luck for tomorrow, hope your DH manages to put some sensible music on your CD, mine found a whole album by the massed bands of the household division yesterday which he is convinced would be excellent for labour!

McKayz mmmm bath sounds like an excellent idea, enjoy.

I'm with surf and shel in being slightly scared by the fact no one checks you are capable of looking after a baby, hoping my maternal instinct magically takes over.

star hope you don't have to have an argument with MW, I've found printing study abstracts and taking them along to the GP with me when 'debating' a point can be quite useful but it's probably dependent on the GP/MW.

TDW how exciting, fingers crossed this is it and you have exciting news for us soon.

SeriouslyStrongCheddar · 06/06/2012 17:43

Kveta - really pleased to hear everything's okay! Also very Envy of Kitchenaid!

rachyroodle · 06/06/2012 17:46

kveta really glad it was good news at the hospital and congrats on the prize win!

Just been trying to catch up with all the posts and it sounds like it is all starting to happen! SSC and TDW wishing you both lots of luck!!

I don't feel like anything is happening here so am a little jealous of the symptoms everyone is having but enjoying the holiday before the hard work begins! Not sure I am qualified to be a mum either but really looking forward to it :) It does not seem real somehow so know how you are feeling Shelduck and Surf.

Hoping nesting kicks in some more soon as the lounge really needs to be tidied and I'm sat on the sofa with a magazine!

justwantcheese · 06/06/2012 17:48

Kveta, hope all goes well at the hospital, thinking of you x

rhihaf · 06/06/2012 17:51

Wowzers! Busy day on here today :)

Good news Kveta, glad bump is ok and just being independent ;)

SSC - good luck for tomorrow and bravo for being so upbeat about it. Sounds like you're taking back charge of your birth and damn right too- you go girl!

Can't remember who else said what, but it's all most exciting to read.

Went in for midwife check this morning and despite ECV not working last Thursday (was booked in for round 2 tomorrow) LO has apparently moved!!! Couldn't believe it! Shock I'd felt some serious wriggling, but wasn't obvious to me that he'd spun around... hurrah!

Still going up to hopsital tomorrow though to have it confirmed (I'd never seen today's midwife before today and she only had a feel, no scan) so if he has moved, they can cancel the planned c-section on Monday Grin

Sending my most positive, happy vibes to everyone on here [waves] and hope we all get a satisfying end result. Hurrah for us women! (can you tell I'm a bit hyper after my news? Confused )

justwantcheese · 06/06/2012 17:55

Cheddar, tdw and dairy , there's definitely going to be some babies in the next few days, can't wait. All the best to you ,and photos asap please. Xx

McKayz · 06/06/2012 18:02

Rhihaf Wow clever baby!! Thats good news.

blondiedollface · 06/06/2012 18:11

Kveta Glad your LO is ok, these girls really are driving us all nuts aren't they.. Whilst the boys are arriving early and on time and turning for their mummies! Is not going to mention how jealous I am of the kitchenaid, was looking at them yesterday and paling at the prices Congratulations on winning something, was it a competition/random prize??

Rhihaf Glad your LO has turned and you might not be c-s'd!!

Everyone else good luck with everything, our June babies have kept us waiting but now the first one is here let's hope the flood gates have opened (literally?)..

P.S Have noticed our first 5 are Boy, Girl, Boy, Girl, Boy anyone for a girl next?? Grin

Xx

thedogwalker · 06/06/2012 19:20

Evening all
Rhihaf great news that your Lo has turned, so happy for you.
Kveta very Envy of the kitchenaid, would love one, but DH says I have to wait until all my other gadgets have given up the ghost. Might treat myself anyway. congrats on the win.

Contractions are getting stronger, not sure how long they will go on for. Hoping things will kick off over night. Just put DS1 to bed, so hoping he won't miss me too much if I go in to hospital overnight. I've cooked and eaten a hot curry and I'm about to have a bounce on the birthing ball, anything to keep the contractions going and moving along.

Hope everyone is well, take care xx

AmethystMoon · 06/06/2012 19:43

Oh god just read all posts and brain has gone to mush Sad
I can recall that along with many others I am very Envy of kveta's kitchen aid, me and DP lust after one Grin well done!
It sounds like there is action a plenty coming, sooooo excited for everyone Smile
shelduck I am right there with you on the shock of being a mummy - they haven't even checked I know one end of a baby from the other Shock!
I need to check in on here more often as I am losing the plot with who is likely to be next! That and remembering who is who between here and FB is more than my tiny brain can deal with Grin
Saw midwife this afternoon. All is well, head right down (baby's not mine) Grin
She actually said it could be any day now..... Eeeek! I'm not ready yet!!!
Right must get life sorted and take impending arrival if baby seriously now....

MammaInTheMaking · 06/06/2012 20:10

Good luck tdw I hope this is it for you and things keep moving along. Definitely sounds like it's going in the right direction.

I think things are also developing here. Getting what I assume are contractions and at quicker intervals than I expected. Every 7-10 mins and only been going about 90 mins. Busting the TENS out and DP's going to start timing to see if this is it. On the ball and will head out for a walk in a bit. Goodness me..... Smile

McKayz · 06/06/2012 20:17

I hope this is it for you Mamma and TDW Fingers crossed for quick and pain free labours for both of you.

I am about to get the birthing ball to have a bounce on.

I have a MW appointment tomorrow morning so maybe the walk to the doctors will help.

Kveta · 06/06/2012 20:20

ooh, good luck TDW and mamma! hope to see photos of your babies very soon! and good luck SSC too - could the 7th of June be the big day for 3 June babies?!

the kitchenaid thing was a competition on here - entered it on a whim, because the runner up prizes were special edition tins of golden syrup which looked cool :o DH is thrilled, as I said I would be asking for a kitchenaid for my 40th (in 10 years...) so now he doesn't need to save for it :o just pondering the colours, as my kitchen is green, but not sure if I want a green kitchenaid to match?! it's an excellent distraction from still being pregnant though :o

also, lovely community midwife is retiring soon (end of June) so I am trying to find some folk to organise a wee goodbye thing for her - I'm not really part of the community due to working, but have asked the local NCT for help, and may even succumb to asking the netmums! not sure what to do, but it is another distraction, which I need just now!

OP posts:
McKayz · 06/06/2012 20:31

DS2 wont go to sleep. I don't have the energy to argue with him. So he's bouncing too.

Novmama · 06/06/2012 20:48

Evening to everyone.

Best wishes for tomorrow SSC.

Well feeling a little disappointed this evening. After being told for months that as I had emergency c/s last time I would 'not be allowed' to go over (EDD 9th) saw senior MW at hospital for exam and sweep. Cervix posterior - she could not do sweep. So am booked in for another exam and planning next Weds!!! Shock. Only positive is that baby is definitely head down - hence all the pressure I'm feeling. I guess things could happen on their own but dreading another c/s. Apparently 'induction' methods other than breaking waters and sweep are not an option. Anyone else been in this position?

It seems the June babies are a little shy! July anyone!

justwantcheese · 06/06/2012 22:01

Goodnight all, hope to wake up to some baby news in the morning Grin
Here's to a pain free night for everyone.

ffnorm · 06/06/2012 22:03

SSC sorry today was a bit of a hoo ha!! Hope you get a good nights rest tonight and are all set for tomorrow zombie music and all

Sounds very hopeful Mama and TDW

McK I have the nicest image in my head of you on a big ball and DS on a little ball, bouncing away Smile

Rhih what exciting news - fingers x that the scan concurs!!!

Am I the only person who doesn't know what a kitchenaid is??? Blush

So,had my hospital app today - lo has turned but from tranverse to breech and not any breech, footling breech. Decision made to book C/S,only to discover that the 1st elective date they have is next Thurs, when I'll be 39+6,as I had DS at 39+6 and waters broke at 39+5,I'm really worried that I will go into labour before my date leading to an emergency C/S. And I'm at high risk of cord prolapse if my water goes.So frustrated and feel I'll now spend the next week on tentarhooks. Sorry to moan - maybe I'll feel different tomorrow...

ffnorm · 06/06/2012 22:07

Novmama I had a dream that you had surprise twins Grin

thedogwalker · 06/06/2012 22:10

Good night all
FFnorm can they not bring your date forward at all? Surely they must have some cancellations. So sorry that LO is breech, hope things can be sorted so that you are not stressing too much.

Hope everyone has a good night's sleep, take care xx

smallwonder · 07/06/2012 01:27

Hi ladies
Time for another feed so popping in quickly to wish SSC a safe delivery tomorrow -- all the best Grin
