Hello all,

Wow - am at my mum and dad's so intermittent internet access and have just read through about five pages I think!

Sorry so many of you are feeling rubbish.... and blondie I am simply rageful at the bastards who've knocked your car! It makes you feel so helpless, doesn't it? We had a bird feeder nicked from outside our house a few months ago and it sent me into a total weeping rage just because I couldn't understand why anyone would bother.

We've been "enjoying" the exceptionally damp Jubilee celebrations here in the Cotswolds... am watching the rain pour down now and in fear and trepidation of returning home where the water had started leaking through our kitchen ceiling again just when we left on Saturday. I'm so fed up about it - we don't know where the leak is or what's causing it and have already had it "fixed" twice. I really can't face the idea of learning how to be a mummy in my tiny house whilst having to have a load of workmen in trying to prevent it raining in my kitchen. Oh well, lots of people have far greater crosses to bear.

I am in awe of all of you with other children... I absolutely don't know what's come over me in the last few days, I am so tired. I think maybe my body has realised it doesn't have to go to work so the adrenalin has drained away. I am really suffering with shortness of breath and walking up two flights of stairs is just about finishing me off! Can't seem to get comfy at all... but at least I am sleeping, which is more than can be said for lots of you. Strange aches and cramps making me think/hope that maybe my body is getting ready to evict this baby.... but I'm fairly certain that's wishful thinking!!

Hope everyone has comfortable days and that those of you who ought to have news for us do have news for us by the time I next log on!! :) C'mon babies, out you come!

rrrayray · 05/06/2012 14:12

What a foul day.

Perfect day to have a baby or two perhaps?!

DairyNips · 05/06/2012 14:45

Ahhh boys asleep, dh popped out to the shops, finally nap time for me!Smile

McKayz · 05/06/2012 15:14

We're about to go to my Mums so I might see if I can sleep there. Or persuade them to let the boys have a sleepover.

MammaInTheMaking · 05/06/2012 16:09

Can totally give the thumbs up to 2 breakfasts Grin I have a super early one so I can be up and about for an hour or so because laying down gets uncomfy. And then when i've been up for a while I'm off to bed again for a few more hours. And then comes breakfast number 2! I've done a super long walk today, taken my concoction of vitamins and will start bouncing on the ball in a bit. Come on babyyyyyy!

Kveta · 05/06/2012 16:18

still no sign of any fricking baby here. grrrrrr Angry not sure why i thought this one would arrive on time, but ever the optimist.

went to local jubilee street party which was crap, far too crowded, and I am so so tired and sore from walking to it. bad heartburn now too, yay. just building up the energy to cook dinner now, and DS wants to make a cake - think we'll be using some packet mix, and I will direct operations from my chair.

FIL is driving me absolutely mental, I want baby to come now so I can have a couple of days in hospital tbh. He isn't doing anything wrong, I am just super irritable, and want to smack everyone.

right, best go cook something bland that won't interfere with heartburn too much. Then find some shite to watch on TV. I want to rewatch Mamma Mia, but DH forbids it whilst he is in the house :o may throw a strop and get my own way, we'll see :o

Kveta , I've been out all day and dying to get back to see if anything had happened. I'm going to be thoroughly pissed off tomorrow when my due date comes and goes without even a proper twinge.

Trying to think who else is due tomorrow apart
from me and dairy
Hobby is complaining today that after ten years I should remember to put sugar in his coffee. I just think he's miffed because I've eaten all the cake!
gwennie really hope you get your leak sorted out,It's all stress for you.
blondie glad you've managed to get a part for you car. I hope these barstools get their come upense.( can't spell today too hormonal) Grin

Hope everyone manages to get a bit more sleep, you can't beat a good, snooze.

Who's going to be next? Please let it be me Grin

misslaughalot · 05/06/2012 17:39

Hi everyone! I was part of this thread way back at the very beginning but sadly miscarried in November.

I'm now 16 weeks pregnant (yay, yay, yay!) but my original due date is fast approaching and I'm finding my thoughts are turning back to the baby I lost. So instead of feeling low about it I thought I'd sneak a peek at your latest thread and see the happy announcements of babies arriving.

Good luck to you all! I suspect I'll be following your progress as your babies begin to grow too, only 5 months to go for me now!

McKayz · 05/06/2012 19:18

Misslaughalot I'm really pleased that you are expecting again. Smile you'll have to let us know when Baby arrives.

My Dad just rang to see if there was any sign of baby. Urmmm surely I would let my bloody Dad know!!!!

thedogwalker · 05/06/2012 19:56

Hi all
Just reading in my pg book that only 25% of babies arrive early, 5% on time and 70% late. Not sure where my book got the stats from, but I was hoping for an early arrival but this makes me think, bugger got some time to wait yet.

StarlightMaJesty · 05/06/2012 19:58

Still here wondering when the baby will come. Still not in a rush but not liking the life on hold aspect!

DairyNips · 05/06/2012 20:02

misslaughalot lovely to hear from youSmile Sorry about your loss.. Thrilled for you that you are pregnant again! Congratulations!! Feel free to pop in anytimeGrin

Kveta · 05/06/2012 20:02

tried to explain to DH that every day past 40 weeks lasts a fortnight, so to beware my moods from midnight onwards :o

Hi miss

ffnorm · 05/06/2012 20:11

Blondie - so sorry I must have appeared so rude,X posted with you about your car - so only saw your post when i came back to catch up on the day Blush sorry such a thing happened esp as cars like yours are like your baby!! Glad you managed to find a replacement mirror Smile

And small sorry to hear you've been teary!!Also thanks for the compliments about my fb photos - we had a lovely time!

Nice to see you again Miss Laughalot esp with such lovely news - good luck for the next 5 months!!

Ray I too suddenly become swollen, was thinking I had avoided it this time but no Hmm

Got an email today from one of the NCT group - she had her DD yesterday, went into labour on her due date and managed a VBAC - so very pleased mail!

So tomorrow is my rescan app to see if lo has turned from transverse... (doesn't feel like it and MW on Fri past didn't think so) if she hasn't turned will probably book date for C/S. At this point her position is causing me so much discomfort, that I'll do whatever to get her out ASAP (Sound awful don't I??)

PinkPanther27 · 05/06/2012 21:39

Hello all, my due date is tomorrow as well - nothing happening here except a lot of sleeping. Found I've been quite irritable with my ds which I'm hating - he does seem to be playing up a little bit but is probably wondering why I'm so snappy with him and spending so much time sleeping instead of playing with him (NB he's with my dh when I'm sleeping, not on his own!) Hoping I'll be able to make it up to him soon.
Somebody asked me about the clary sage (sorry losing track of all the posts). I put quite a few drops in the bath last time. It may have just been a coincidence that labour started straight after but I'm guessing that he was ready to come out and the clary sage just sped it up quite dramatically! I'm still too scared to try it!
ffnorm good luck for your scan tomorrow, let us know how you get on.
Kveta justwantscheese Dairy I think we should start a sweepstake on who's gonna have the most overdue baby, that should get them moving Wink

Anyway gonna have to go now as dh is watching NCIS? and there was a horrible scene where there were some children stuck in a fire so I'm bawling again :(

Kveta · 05/06/2012 21:59

Pink, I suspect dairy will win that sweepstake as she has form :o I was 6 days over last time, but was induced on the 6th day due to 2 days of unproductive labour. Hoping my body has more idea what to do this time round!

Have decided to tempt fate by not wearing pad to bed tonight, as I would be so so upset to damage this mattress with waters breaking. It will make no difference. But never mind.

Come on babies, this is your month!

PinkPanther27 · 05/06/2012 22:04

PS flora I've nicked your link on facebook lol. I had one friend who text me and when she didnt hear back straightaway text me again saying "please let me know you're ok". Yeah I'm fine I'm just trying to multi task resting and looking after a hyper 3 year old (rolls eyes icon)

justwantcheese · 05/06/2012 22:31

Kveta ,dairy, and pink good idea on sweepstake. I was 12, days over and induced last time so I'm putting myself last.
here goes
1st Kveta girl 7lb 4
2nd dairy boy 7lb 6
3rd pink girl 7lb 3
4th me girl 9lb 2
what do you predict?

StarlightMaJesty · 05/06/2012 22:36

Oh, forgot about pads. Better get some I suppose.

Homebirth mw said we need a shower curtain too. What on earth for?

DairyNips · 05/06/2012 22:43

Grin I bet I'll definitely be the most overdue. 14 days late both times before so I'm expecting to be in for a wait. I keep trying to will my body in to labour anyway though..

McKayz · 05/06/2012 22:47

Star, I didn't use one but I know some people use them on the floor to stop mess on the carpet. I just buy a big tarpaulin

PinkPanther27 · 05/06/2012 22:50

I would go with your prediction just wantscheese but I would put my little girls weight as 7 10lb maybe more.
Something else I find really annoying- strangers saying to me "Have they said its gonna be a big baby?"
U mean have they said the baby's gonna be so huge she's gonna rip you in half in a whole new world of pain? No, funnily enough they dont tend to say things like that to heavily pregnant women. You silly insensitive woman

StarlightMaJesty · 05/06/2012 23:10

It was my due date today according to ultrasound.

Oh well.

Mw appointment on Fri where will be offered a sweep.

No way though!

CathFin · 06/06/2012 06:36

Hmm - these babies aren't keen on appearing, are they?
My neighbour is due on Friday and has had a couple of false alarms but is resigned to going overdue now (its her 3rd as well - we are curiously in sync as our kids are all around about the same age!).

I woke up coughing on bile last night - not to be recommended, can still taste it this morning. Foul. Hope I'm not going to have 2 weeks of that to look forward to plus the kids woke up before 5am!!!

DS was 9lb4oz on his due date so if I go over I am probably going to be slightly concerned about the size of the baby too. Eek!
