Evening all
Blondie Sorry to hear about your car, hope you can get it fixed soon, don't you just love the pg hormones. Sending you lots of hugs xx
Small Sending you lots of hugs too xx

Where are all the babies, we all must have really comfortable wombs that our LOs don't want to come out Grin. Dairy, think I might join you on the birthing ball. I'm willing to try anything. Keep asking DH for jiggy jiggy, but he is not keen, freaks him out, at the thought of his bits being so close to the LO Hmm.

Come on full moon and any other bit of nonsense, get these babies on the move. Take care all xx

MammaInTheMaking · 04/06/2012 23:15

Oohhh kveta being a 1/2 Finn I'm obsessed with Finnish licorice!!!! Our near by 99p shop is selling bags of the stuff (most other places seem to get away with selling it for £4!) do I've stocked up and been gorging on it. Didn't know about the labour theory. I'm also a big dried fruit muncher, esp dates and can confirm these have done nothing either! Mmmm going to help myself to licorice now Grin.

To small and blondie I'm sorry you're both feeling teary at the moment. I had a weepy moment this afternoon just listening to DP getting stressed about putting some shelves up. The hormones are crazy....

Happy gym ball bouncing Smile x

McKayz · 04/06/2012 23:36

I can't sleep. I hate being in bed feeling shattered but unable to sleep Sad

DairyNips · 04/06/2012 23:46

Sorry you can't sleep McKayz, struggling a bit myself. Hope you drop off soon x

smallwonder · 05/06/2012 05:13

Well, I think 5am is a decent-ish enough time to say Good Morning Grin
Hope, hope, hope there's some babies on the way today and for rest of week.

TDW - was lol at your last post btw! Wink

MammaInTheMaking · 05/06/2012 05:39

Morning small! I've just had my first breakfast of the day. Now back in bed hoping for a couple more hours sleep. Grin

smallwonder · 05/06/2012 06:04

Morning mamma ooooh I'm envious, hope you get an hour or two Smile
I'm surprisingly not hungry yet!
Have loaded the utilities and tidied the living room and actually enjoying being alone with everyone asleep. I am bound to just burn out at some point. Prob as ILs arrive!

Kveta · 05/06/2012 06:26

Managed about an hour of sleep here, between loo trips, non sleeping DS, and painful cramps. So so tired, fed up, and know baby is going to be late now :( feeling ridiculously sorry for myself, so apologies for grumpiness in advance :o

Now need to be sick then have breakfast. Fun times.

OP posts:
CathFin · 05/06/2012 06:38

Mamma - good luck on the extra sleep, I did that yesterday.

Kveta my DS keeps waking up too - very annoying, especially as I am sleeping okay apart from that, and then we have to get up at 5 something too.

Small - keep nesting!

Blondie - that is upsetting about your car, some people are just idiots.

DH and I watched Gladiator last night instead of the jubilee concert, really enjoyed it as I hadn't watched the whole movie for ages.

We have our street party today with a bouncy castle for the kids who are very excited about it.
Baby in my tummy at very odd angle - quite uncomfortable again. I also feel crampy in the night but I don't think we are ready for action yet unfortunately. 38 weeks tomorrow - yawn!

thedogwalker · 05/06/2012 07:56

Morning all
Mama enjoy your extra time in bed, I'm envious.
Small that is very industrious for so early in the morning, can I have some of your energy please.
Kveta hope LO surprises you today.
My LO has moved, he is pressing on my pubic bone, I'm finding it hard to walk or stand up straight. This can't be normal surely???
Hope everyone is feeling better than me. Take care xx

McKayz · 05/06/2012 08:06

Morning,

I thought the concert got better last night. I did absolutely cry my eyes out at Prince Charles calling the Queen Mummy. It was just so sweet.

I eventually dropped off at midnight, woke at 3 for a wee and then got woken up by DS2 battering on the door at 6. I now have a rotten headache Sad

Mamma I hope you are having a nice time in bed. I might start having 2 breakfasts!!

Small Do you want to come tidy my house? Grin I don't have any energy

Kveta Maybe Baby will decide to show her face today! Fingers crossed.

TDW I hope LO moves for you. I think my Baby was in a similar position on Sunday and it was agony.

Hope you are all feeling well

Rrrrayray · 05/06/2012 09:26

hi all.

sounds like your all as fed up as me!!!!

Slept pretty well though, so grateful for that.

Feet went from a little bit swollen to huge yesterday and could barely Walk!!! ouchie. Called midwife who basically said your pregnant, what do you expect, but i was just rather caught off guard by how suddenly they swelled and how big they got. i never had this at all with DD.

i've got acupuncture this morning, so we shall see if we have any joy from that. Then we are meeting my cousin and wife in winchester so i'll be walking lots. Not good for the feet, but maybe i can WALK the baby out!? :-)

Coops79 · 05/06/2012 09:36

Hello all - I keep dipping in and out of these threads but I'm due on 20th June. Finishing work at the end of next week (to the horror of all that I work with who think I should be at home and certainly not wearing four inch heels). Have just been told no to a homebirth because my stupid placenta is in the wrong place so going to Bath instead.

Quite lucky that I'm sleeping (although waking up with achy legs) but slightly overwhelmed by all the stuff I need to do before he turns up. The kitchen needs some serious cleaning, as does our bedroom. And DH is slowly having a nervous breakdown over decorating and his broken down landrover.

I am dealing with all of this by avoiding it and searching for a sun drenched holiday for the three of us in March - any suggestions?

emblosion · 05/06/2012 09:38

Morning all, I feel your pain in terms of sleepless nights, think I was up about 5 times all in all. Plus baby's foot is in my ribs again, which is agony if I lean on my left side, so I basically woke up everytime I turned over, grrr. Ah well its the final countdown I guess....

Kveta am sending 'baby out' vibes for you.

mamma hope you get a bit more sleep (and am loving the idea of a hobbit-style second breakfast) :)

Blondie your poor car, that would really upset me too, people can be so careless/thoughtless. Hope you can get him fixed soon.

Ooo Small do you think the burst of energy is a sign? I'm waiting for the old nesting instinct to kick in, ha ha!

cath hope the weather stays nice for the street party!

McKayz I felt a bit emotional at the end of the Jubilee concert too, am not much of a royalist but I like the Queen and I thought she looked really moved by it all. The fireworks were great too.

Hope everyone else is ok. Come on June babies- what are you waiting for?

DairyNips · 05/06/2012 09:51

Morning all

So the boys had a late night last night after we went to a jubilee event with tends and rides etc

They didn't go to sleep till just before 9 so I thought they might sleep later this morning.. No! Ds2 was bashing on our door with a wooden block at 6.30. I tossed and turned all night so felt really tired when I woke. They played for a while whilst dh and I dozed. I decided to get up with them as dh has let me sleep in the last 3 days spin thought it was only fair. I should get rest once he gets up..

Was feeling ever so slightly crampy when I woke in the night a few times and a bit this morning but nothing major. Wish I'd get some more definite signs!

DairyNips · 05/06/2012 09:51

tents and rides!

SeriouslyStrongCheddar · 05/06/2012 10:00

Morning all!

Blondie - that's really crap about your car. Can totally sympathise - mine (a 10 year old two seater convertible that is my pride and joy - only got it last year) was parked outside a place I volunteer at, last September, and some scumbag broke the passenger side window, slashed the roof, stole the sunglasses I got married in and tried to nick my radio. I was absolutely apoplectic and launched out the door after him when I saw him - probably just as well I didn't catch him given he must have had something sharp with him to cut the roof! Drove all the way home with the roof flapping, safety glass in my arse and tears streaming down my face. The car I had before that, I also came out one morning to find the wingmirror on the road as you have - I was a tad miffed to say the least. Also had that one egged a couple of times (it's the mature way of resolving parking disputes round here Hmm). Hopefully, Karma will catch up with all concerned.

So, one wardrobe mostly constructed yesterday (haven't got the doors on, but hey-ho, the main bit's done). Today's mission will be a trip to Screwfix to get some new bolts in order to be able to build the cot and then construction of the second wardrobe (or, most of it).

Hope everyone that's feeling rough has a better day.

smallwonder · 05/06/2012 10:03

dairy you havent checked in yet so hoping you are having long lie :)
kveta Hope u managed an hour or two, u r so permitted to be grumpy!
emblosion I wish I could turn over, I've been sleeping upright in either bed or chair for months. I can't wait to have a proper sleep on my side even if an hour here or there.
coops welcome to the Jubilee line, last stop for all with moody driver that can't make up his mind who to let off first Wink
ffnorm wonderful pics, you looked great! Glad a good time was had.
ray yes, disconcerting when you're feet suddenly swell up like that, take it easy walking today but have a great time
mck admittedly blubbered a wee bit at Charles' speech, I thought it moving.
cathfin I love the Gladiator, I could watch it again and again. Good choice!

Not nesting here at all. Simply bored of being awake all night, only so much you can do before you head downstairs and start zombie dancing. I have got seriously red, sore looking eyes at mo Hmm DH said always funny how you fall asleep after you've cuddled the baby!! Emm.... Yes, almost 9 months of minimal sleep and being knocked out to deliver might explain that one.....

smallwonder · 05/06/2012 10:07

X-posts Grin morning Dairy. Kids law. Doesn't matter when they retire, guaranteed they'll plod through at usual time if not earlier -- get some rest I hope. Good luck SSC with construction of wardrobes

rhihaf · 05/06/2012 10:34

Morning everybody,

Blondie - oooh it makes my blood boil when I think of the little fuckers who do stuff like that to ppl's cars Angry A few yrs ago I was on my own in the house when I heard a gang of boys (only kids really) walk up my path and they ran from front to back over my car and dented the bonnet, roof and boot - for fun. Hilarious, I'm sure.

Hoping everyone can get some sleep/comfort somehow today [figers crossed icon].

cathfin I watched Moulin Rouge on Sunday with my mum and sister, it was BRILLIANT! It was nice having a cry and being all girly instead of worrying about baby stuff!

Weather is windy and rainy here today, so a day for tele and tea methinks! HOpe everyone has a good day xxxx

DairyNips · 05/06/2012 11:32

No rest for me yet.. Fil has popped round to help dh fit the black out blind in the boy's room. Really nice of him so I've been hoovering and generally tidying instead of sleeping as I have a friend popping in this aftSmile its actually a Mn friend, she was in my oct 07 group and has a dd the same age as ds1.

Ds2 is slowly turning in to the incredible hulk as the morning goes along.. Roll on nap time!Grin

surfmama · 05/06/2012 12:17

hello all - sorry to hear about the not sleeping for lots, I have caught up, this weekend lots of layins and (don't hit me) have just had a lovely massage from the lady I do tai chi with - bliss... I don't have any small ones to run around after as this is my first so I can only send energetic vibes to you all. kveta bugger being sick on only half an hour sleep I hate being sick at the best of times yucky - is that every day?

What gives with the painful contractions then are they hinge and brackets? three nights now (not in a row) I have had them in the evening every sort of 15 minutes quite painful with pressure downstairs, have taken myself off to bed making sure everything is lined up for hosi... and then nothing... am now just feeling anxious that something will go wrong before baby comes think the sooner I go in the better - did look at the full moon last night it was quite something... but not cramp in sight.

Hope you all have better weather than us - windy - rainy - blurgh.

AmethystMoon · 05/06/2012 13:18

Mmmm no full moon babies then Sad
Oh well, no signs of any imminent action here. Took dog for long walk this morning and spent 4 hours working on the PC. Rubbish! Finished work last week but still got stuff I need to get done before I can properly get some rest. Which I need to do as I am shattered and my feet are huge. People keep telling me to put my feet up, yeah right ha ha! I've a long list of things that need doing before baby can even think about appearing! right I'll stop moaning now as I am not suffering nearly so badly as many of my June buddies, hope you all feel better soon. Boo to the sickness plaguing some of you, that's evil Sad we must be due more babies by now, keeping my fingers crossed for those of you desperate to have your (kveta and co)
Maybe we'll get lots of summer solstice babies instead Grin x
