Mamma Yes you can keep taking paracetamol. I have my fingers crossed that this is it for you!!

justwantcheese · 04/06/2012 09:21

This all looks quote promising for a few of you, there is definitely going to be a few babies this week. I hope you all manage to get a bit of rest too.
My sister is visiting at the moment and just wants to charge about doing a million things but I cannot be bothered at all which is really mean of me. I feel sick and out of breathe today and my lips have a bluish tinge to them .
Have a good weekend all, x

Kveta · 04/06/2012 09:39

Good luck mamma!

Still not a.sausage here. 39+6. Grumpy :(

Smallwonder · 04/06/2012 09:48

Yes, good luck Mama Grin everything crossed for u!

Kveta -- I can't think of anything to say that wouldn't have u wanting to 'clowt me 'round the ear' but suffice to say, thinking of u and all other due daters

SeriouslyStrongCheddar · 04/06/2012 10:24

Morning all.

Sorry to hear a few folk are feeling rough for one reason or another - hope things improve through the day for you.

Well, midwife was supposed to appear at 10am for this week's appt - coming to the house as the surgery is closed with it being a Bank Holiday. Still no sign of her.

Not impressed since I've hoovered, DH has tidied and we've shut the cats in the kitchen (she's scared of cats).

Maybe she doesn't do routine appts now I'm booked in for a section? If so, would have been good if someone could have told me!

Smallwonder · 04/06/2012 10:34

That's annoying SSC!

Have posted in PG but suppose niggles as these are not a great topic to receive replies on. Anyone had those sharp stabbing pains down below? I have had them in all PGs but randomly, nothing u can't get on with. These are almost constant and really hurt? I'm so uncomfy. Anyone? Or is it me dramatising?

thedogwalker · 04/06/2012 10:48

Morning all
Kveta, hope things start for you soon.
Blondie are you there??? Any news for us Grin
Small I think those stabbing pains are supposed to be the cervix softening????
SSC very annoying if the MW doesn't turn up, they would expect us to ring and cancel an appointment if we weren't going to turn up so a bit of common courtesy wouldn't go a miss.

I'm 39 week today and really want my little man to make an appearance. Wasn't too bothered before if I went over, but now just fed up of being pg. However, had a bit of a shock yesterday. When I was pg with DS1, I was 10st 4lbs at the start and finished at 13st 7lbs Blush, I just ate and ate and ate. I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't put on as much weight this time....I started at 9 st 7lbs and am now 12st 10lbs Blush, not a happy bunny, wish I'd not got on the scales. I know some of that is the baby, but still, I've eaten way too much again.

Hope everyone has a good jubilee Monday, I've got a village cricket match and childrens sports day in the village to entertain the family this afternoon, with a beacon fire and BBQ tonight. Take care everyone xx

CathFin · 04/06/2012 11:04

TDW - I'm a scale avoider - best not to know I think!

blondiedollface · 04/06/2012 11:13

I am still here, with bump. Exhausted, knackered and (never thought I'd say this) glad it all seems to have stopped. Contractions were regular from about Sat 11am until last night at about 9pm. Baby is literally trying to squeeze herself out of a non-existent exit, examination at the hospital yesterday mw was a bit surprised at how 'present' LO's head was down there yet my cervix is unripe, unfavourable and as closed as it could be apparently... So uterus and cervix appear to be having a bit of a to-do. I actually managed to get a bit of sleep last night as the cx weren't regular so I could sleep between the 5 or 6 I had and this morning it's all stopped apart from some remaining backache and cramping. Once again, 'keep a close eye on it and come in at any point if things progress' mw said it was probably very early labour but my cervix needs to get it's act together...

I'll properly catch up a bit later once I've gotten a bit more rest but good luck Mamma if this is it for you! :)

Enjoy your sunnier day today and hope you're all well Xx

DairyNips · 04/06/2012 11:16

Oh blondie you poor thing! Hope you get some rest now x

McKayz · 04/06/2012 11:21

Bloody hell I am knackered. I feel so so tired, I really could do with a nap but of course these 2 have other ideas.

My back and hips have stopped hurting today. It was agony yesterday as I could hardly walk around the house.

I am going to have a bath in clary sage tonight to see if that might kick start things. Fingers crossed.

Mamma Hope you are doing well Smile

rhibutterfly · 04/06/2012 11:24

Cannot possibly keep up with you all, was hoping to see some new arrivals after the weekend, getting very exciting now :)

Smallwonder · 04/06/2012 11:36

tdw thank you!!! Was beginning to think I was going mad!!! Grin

McKayz · 04/06/2012 11:42

I've been having a very strange feeling today. I've been getting BHs and when they happen I get really breathless and my neck and head start to hurt. It eases off once the BH stop.

Might just be me being strange.

TeaandHobnobs · 04/06/2012 11:47

C'mon Blondie's cervix, get with the programme! Grin

DairyNips · 04/06/2012 12:00

McKayz hope you get a rest at some point.. I might try some clary sage myself soon.

I have also been getting stabbing pains in my cervix on and off but it just feels like baby giving it a good old poke to meHmm not very comfortable at all!

SpecialJK · 04/06/2012 12:03

Hi all. Managed to get back to sleep. Woke up a couple of hours ago with blurred vision in one eye! Now been asked to go into midwife day assessment at 2pm. Fingers x'ed it's not pre-eclampsia

DairyNips · 04/06/2012 12:31

special glad you got more sleep. Hope the blurry eye is just a false alarm..

Its the full moon today ladies! If none of us have a baby it will prove the full moon theory wrong!

PinkPanther27 · 04/06/2012 12:33

Morning all, Ive been getting loads of stabbing pains down below so hopefully things are getting ready. No more cramps though.
We were talking about clary sage last night but Im a bit scared to try it as I had back to back contractions about half an hour later last time I tried it (first labour) Have said that I wont try it tonight (as dh wants to watch last episode of Game of Thrones!) but might try it tues or weds if Im brave enough!
Really feel for you Blondie you must be so fed up. Hope everyone has a relaxing day. We're off to a friend's Jubilee party soon.

DairyNips · 04/06/2012 12:51

pink in what way did you use the clary sage when you used it? Did you just put it in the bath or use it with a carrier oil to massage? I'm a bit scared of sudden back to back contractions so will tread carefully!

MammaInTheMaking · 04/06/2012 12:58

Well all quiet here now! Grrr, period pains have subsided and now the twinges and pressure have gone back to normal levels. As yucky as it was in the night and this morning I was kind of hyped up that it could have been the beginning. Oh well. Will carry on hoping. Hope that the pains and things that lots of us seem to be experiencing now materialise into some babies popping out. x

DairyNips · 04/06/2012 13:07

mamma Sorry things have slowed down. These June babies are not behaving wry well are they?! Hope things pick up again once you've regained some energy..

McKayz · 04/06/2012 13:11

My Mum was 2 weeks late and she was due in June. She was originally due on my Nans birthday which is the 8th and turned up on 22nd. Maybe it is a June thing.

SeriouslyStrongCheddar · 04/06/2012 13:41

Well, midwife finally turned up at 11.20am. Only one hour twenty late then Hmm.

No idea why, couldn't be bothered to ask.

Trace of protein in urine but as BP okay she's not concerned - thinks it might be the new test strips they're using.

Wardrobe construction on the go now - well, I'm sitting in a chair directing operations and DH is actually doing the work Grin

thedogwalker · 04/06/2012 14:12

Dairy sorry to be a pain but can you run through the full moon theory again.
Mama I've been on and off for days, think LOs love to fool us. Hope things move along for you soon.
SSC glad the MW eventually made an appearance and enjoy watching DH do all the work Grin.
Off for some village jubilee festivites now. Take care all xx
