Hi all
Cathfin, I'm the same regarding the fact that I can't recall much of the beginning of labour from DS1. I keep thinking that I should really remember it all, but I just don't. So now struggling with every twinge etc, thinking....is this it.....no..........it this it.....no.
PP Hopefully your DM didn't mean what she said and it just came across wrong. My DM often says things without thinking them through. Mind you, she's been living with me now for over 3 weeks, so that she can look after DS1 when I go to hospital and she will stay until whenever I ask her to go. Last time she came down she stayed for 5 months Grin helping me out in the absence of an au pair.

Come on the June babies, where are you.........Blondie, hope things are progressing for you, I have my fingers x for you.

Hope everyone is well and having a great jubilee weekend. Take care and I hope to wake tomorrow to the news of more babies Grin, come on Kveta, Dairy and PP you are all really close to your dates xx

TeaandHobnobs · 03/06/2012 22:10

Yes, you ladies have gone suspiciously quiet on here and fb this evening! Hope it means things are underway somewhere!

Right, time to clean yet more vomit off my baby and head to bed Grin - like tdw I am hoping for news in the morning!

ceeej · 03/06/2012 22:29

oh dear pink, do hope your DM is a bit more constructive when you go into labour, maybe she just had a bad day.

Sorry to hear lots of you are feeling sick, hopefully it's a sign that some of these babies are going to get moving soon.

I've got really grouchy with DH over the last few days for no good reason, he's being really helpful but I feel a bit like a teenager with PMT, just can't control it! Took a lot of effort to pull myself together this afternoon when we went down to watch the flotilla and had a lovely time in the end so must try harder.

Doesn't look like I'll be dropping mine any time soon so am relying on the rest of you to provide some baby excitement :)

MammaInTheMaking · 04/06/2012 00:59

So....
Mega strong constant BH - check
Twinges and shooting feelings in the cervix alllll the time - check
Immense pressure on the cervix - check
So what happens next and when. I need a sign!
EDD is Thursday.....

McKayz · 04/06/2012 02:46

Ohhhh Mamma it sounds promising!!!

MammaInTheMaking · 04/06/2012 03:09

So all heading in the right direction McK? About an hour ago I was up with some severe period style cramping (I'd forgotten that feeling from my teenage years) so some paracetemol is helping mask that at the moment. Would love if this was the beginning of things here but need a bit more to be going on to convince me. Anyhow, I hope you've gone off to sleep. I'm going to attempt another 90 mins shut eye before the next loo break Smile x

AmethystMoon · 04/06/2012 04:11

Ooh exciting mamma hope you get some rest in case this is it Smile

AmethystMoon · 04/06/2012 04:30

Just had a proper catch up, been flat out since last week and only been able to keep up on FB Blush it seems like there are a few of us likely to see some action v soon Smile blondie hope you're okay, gosh your LO is really putting you through it Sad
Just a couple of light cramps here, but it has awoken me to the fact I really am going to have a baby and soon! So madly painting the kitchen this evening plus lots of housework all day, knackered but as you can see can't sleep Sad
Hoping for no rain today so I can get on with more gardening, fingers crossed.
Have a great weekend everyone, roll on some more jubilee babies Grin

thedogwalker · 04/06/2012 04:35

Heartburn Sad. Wish it was something else keeping me awake

DairyNips · 04/06/2012 05:07

Wide awake for no reasonHmm Why?!

Ooh mamma hope things are starting for you!

The worst cramps I've had do far have been wind relatedBlush C'mon baby Dairy, it's a full moon today, pack your bags!

DairyNips · 04/06/2012 05:07

So far..

Smallwonder · 04/06/2012 05:21

Angry Its horrible to just crave some sleep!! Hoping we all get some ASAP. I'm very sore, twinges, stabbing pains but finally found living room 'hard' chair to be most comfy place right now. Do glad DH is off or I'd be one grumpy woman when DC wake.
Dairy and Mama, my fingers are so tightly crossed Smile

Smallwonder · 04/06/2012 05:24

Here comes the back pain.... Eugh! I just want to sleeeeeeeeep.

Smallwonder · 04/06/2012 05:36

Ok then. It's just me, ticking clock, distant snores and birds making a racket Hmm
Am now starving!!!!

CathFin · 04/06/2012 06:33

Dairy - think any cramps I'm getting too are probably more related to the fact I need to (TMI) do a poo. But then again I spent my whole labour with DS feeling that way so....

DH went and bought an S-Max yesterday which we can pick up on Friday, then at least we will be able to transport the whole family in comfort and safety rather than trying to all squish in a Mondeo!

Sitting in bed while my two DC run around like lunatics - how can they have so much energy, they both woke up before 6am too - yawn.

DairyNips · 04/06/2012 06:35

Poor you small, hope the pain eases.. I've barely slept since 5 and now the boys are awake. We're trying to convince them to play in their room for a little bit. I am also starving but need sleep.

DairyNips · 04/06/2012 06:37

Cath ooh exciting about the new car!
Yeah, labour is quite similar to trapped wind/ stomach bug for me at points usually but this is deffo wind so farSadBlush

SpecialJK · 04/06/2012 06:45

Joining the wide awake club. Been awake since around 5.30. Think I'm going to give up and watch the corrie that I've taped. Find if I eat something it helps send me back to sleep. Wish me luck!

Hope all with cramps etc get more movement. Must be quite frustrating. x

DairyNips · 04/06/2012 06:46

Hope the corrie and food works special

McKayz · 04/06/2012 06:56

My ruddy children have been awake since half 5 making a racket. I've just told them to get back into bed and shut up.

I need sleep Sad

CathFin · 04/06/2012 06:59

Oh well, glad its not just mine that are up so early! Suppose I should get up and make breakfast!

DairyNips · 04/06/2012 07:28

Ours are currently playing on the edge of our bed, torturing us in our tirdenessHmm

MammaInTheMaking · 04/06/2012 08:08

Aaww you ladies with kids up already... I hope you have time for at least an afternoon nap today.

Think that paracetamol has worn off now coz the period pain is back and it reeeaaalllyyy hurts. When I was a teenager I used to get it terribly and be so sick so this is bringing back a few bad memories. I'm assuming to keep taking the tablets is ok even if something was developing? Urgh, this is actually quite nasty Sad but I'm going to live in hope at the same time. Smile

DairyNips · 04/06/2012 08:27

Poor you mamma, I would say its fine to take paracetamol every 4 hours..

Dh has taken the boys down for brekko like a total hero so I can go back to sleep. Thank god!Smile

PinkPanther27 · 04/06/2012 08:36

DS woke up crying just before 3am and wouldnt go back to sleep so brought him into bed with me and he finally went to sleep about 5am. Had a really loud bird singing outside the window at 4am. On the plus side- ds slept in till 8am and is now downstairs with my dh while I try to get more sleep.
Mamma sounds exciting although painful- keep us updated
