hi jen sweep booked for thursday, they will book an induction for the following week at the same time. I so hope it won't take that long. My mum was telling me how she went 2 weeks over with my brother and 10 days with me and mil was about the same. Hopefully its not hereditary! How are you and little N getting on?

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 01/07/2012 10:52

If tomorrow is a really inconvenient day, the Law of Sod says you'll pop tomorrow :o

JenFraggle · 01/07/2012 11:06

I had 4 sweeps in total, you won't need that many though I'm sure.

N is currently sleeping on DH while he plays Call of Duty. We sleep in separate rooms so that he gets a good night's sleep for work. Friday and Saturday nights we swap so that I get a couple of nights where he brings her to me for a feed and then takes her back again and settles her. It really makes a difference having those 2 nights with extra sleep.

I've added a new photo of DD

NinjaChipmunk · 01/07/2012 11:15

aw what a little love! Glad you are both getting some sleep. It makes all the difference I think. Can I ask, did you need to wear a pad after having a sweep?

JenFraggle · 01/07/2012 11:18

I was given one each time. I didn't bleed much but the lubricant they use comes out and also I had a show. While most of it was picked up when I wiped myself, some did go on the pad. If I remember correctly, Wants bled quite a bit after one so it varies from person to person.

NinjaChipmunk · 01/07/2012 11:26

cool, thanks. i remember wants saying about it now. Will make sure I'm prepared. Right off to the garage to dig out a little wheely trolley to put the baby stuff in as its currently piled up in the moses basket. Maybe I shall attempt a walk round richmond park later (not the whole park obviously) to see if that helps. I think the most frustrating thing is not being able to plan to do much or having to tell anyone I do make plans with that it may all fall apart at the last moment.

NinjaChipmunk · 01/07/2012 22:00

gosh its quiet here today, where is everyone, off having fun?

musicalmrs · 02/07/2012 02:56

Clearly they were Ninja! Did you have a nice walk round the park?

Brooking that everything gets moving for you soon. Will be hovering lots over the next week to keep an eye out for your news! :-)

NinjaChipmunk · 02/07/2012 09:33

Didn't make it to the park but did go for late lunch at Strada which was very nice. Came home, had a nap etc etc. I will be spending lots of today sat on my ball. Off to meet ds's new teacher at lunchtime. I have slight back ache today, I hope it turns into twinges, I am ready for this baby to head to the exit route, if only so poor ds doesn't have to wait any longer to meet his sister.

jaggythistle · 02/07/2012 09:53

brooking for the sneeze like emergence of ninjababy! :)

Stacks · 02/07/2012 11:10

Morning everyone. I just went to put a new photo on my profile and it deleted everything? I wasn't expecting that, ah well. I took a couple of photos of my bump yesterday, as I thought it was looking particularly big. However, the photos just don't show it!

I had quite a quiet weekend in the end, went to the gym and did some weight lifting on Sat, then just tidied up the house and spent time with DH. I was trying to convince him to go for a private scan - we could have booked in and had a scan today! He refused, and is making me wait till my NHS scan on 25th.

Ninja I hope that backache turns into something more productive for you.
Fluffy I've made that soup for my lunch today, looking forward to it :)
Jen your DD is gorgeous.
Tock how are you today?

NinjaChipmunk · 02/07/2012 11:23

I bet your bump looks gorgeous stacks! You'll have to redo your profile and make it public so we can see!

Stacks · 02/07/2012 11:37

Made a new (much shorter) profile page and added photos.

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 02/07/2012 11:37

Let me know what you think of it stacks - I have some left for today too :d
Your bump is really neat! :)

How're you today Ninja?

Aaaalmost done clearing out the spare room, just a bit of clutter to sort out really - thank goodness! Going to buy paint on Thursday :o

itsMYNutella · 02/07/2012 11:38

Ninja brooking for you and ninjababy (jaggythistle that made me chuckle.... imagining a baby dressed as a ninja... not so stealthy but oh so stinky)

Stacks are you finding it easier to keep up with any thread other than the Due in DEC thread? It's barmy! :o

I'm still more podgy than bump shaped Confused

whimsicalname · 02/07/2012 14:05

Hello everyone. What a busy day - had scan first thing, then a man came to look at our stuff to work out how much shipping we'll need, and any minute now the police are coming round to take a statement about our friendly neighbourhood stalker. Phew.

Scan went well. There's definitely a baby, which is something. There's definitely only one which is a relief, although MrWhim (not very) secretly would have liked twins as he is one of 5. We didn't have any tests, but all looks fine apparently.

Turns out we don't have all that much stuff to ship, which partly makes me think 'yippee I don't have to throw anything away' but I know I need to really!

stacks your bump looks very nice, and you aren't at all podgy. I declare you past the 'fat and badly dressed stage'. I am in the midst of it. If the sun ever comes out and you get to take layers off you will very def look it.

What colour are you painting fluff? Something cheery I hope.

Any news ninja?

ScrambledSmegs · 02/07/2012 14:11

Afternoon :) How are you doing Ninja? Sneezed that baby out yet?!

Just got back from my scan. Sonographer was lovely, and baby is fine, quite lazy in comparison with DD at her 20 week scan! Was lovely to see. In the end we did find out the sex - more than likely a girl (80% positive). We asked why only 80%, apparently they always say this for girls as some testes don't 'pop out' till further along in gestation! If you see a penis though, it's defo a boy Grin We spent ages watching the baby, it was great to get to know her, IYKWIM.

In a funny way I'm slightly sad now - the fact that my fertility is probably completely shot means that this is definitely my last baby, and that finality is making me feel a bit down. Don't know why, I've got all the sleepless nights to come and I'll probably be thanking my stars that no more babies are on the cards!

Stacks your bump is very 'tidy'! And you're so slim Envy

OP posts:
Stacks · 02/07/2012 14:33

My backside and thighs have spread a bit recently though. I put on my 'baggy' jeans the other day, and they weren't at all baggy any more and not just for my tummy! :(

I've been waiting impatiently for my bump to grow enough that other people can see it too. When I look down my front it looks quite big already, I can't even see my toes without leaning forwards. However, looking from the sides it was all but invisible. I wonder when I'll get my first seat offered on the bus?

NinjaChipmunk · 02/07/2012 14:35

stacks you have a lovely bump Smile
smegs and whims congratulations on your scans, lovely news. You must both be all chuffed and glowing? Where are you moving to whims? I'm sure you've said before but I can't remember.

Nothing to report here. I've been on my ball all morning, now on sofa for a bit as is more comfortable. I might chance an online shop shortly, thats sure to bring labour on, it did last time and my mum had to make a mercy dash to let the delivery man in. No twinges, nothing. But I did read on the childbirth board thats its a full moon tomorrow and lots of people go into labour then I'm going to sulk and eat ice pops.

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 02/07/2012 14:41

Never say never smegs! We got the old "80%" too but in our case the sonographer literally saw nothing so I'm still a bit sceptical it won't pop out with a winkie Hmm :o

A stalker whims? You don't think he thinks you're the actual Whims's Real Name do you? :o We're going for a nice cheerful, but not too acidic (as I think some of them tend to be), green :)

Glad both of your scans went well :)

ScrambledSmegs · 02/07/2012 14:46

Just saw your post whims - glad the scan went well! But - a stalker?! Really?! Hope he's harmless (apart from being a weirdo, obviously).

ScrambledSmegs · 02/07/2012 14:48

TBH fluff, I really wouldn't mind if this one turned out to be a boy at birth, it would be a lovely surprise! I definitely think it's another girl though, and DH is walking around like he's Nostradamus, what with his premonition/dream of two girls!

OP posts:
FluffyJawsOfDoom · 02/07/2012 14:56

Oh I meant about not having any more I promise I'm not one of those irritating people that think you need "one of each". Arf at your DH :o

clickingtock · 02/07/2012 16:18

What great news about the scans. Hearty Congrats.

Smegs I'm sure it feels like a mixed blessing stopping at 2. I feel a bit the same. But it's kind to the planet you know. (Whims - hope you don't mind me reiterating that one. Let's agree to differ etc.) And anyway you got this surprise bean so there may be another when you're not looking.

Stuck on my phone as Virgin have let us down yet again. Dying to see the Stacks bump.

All good here. Wearing first mat skirt still over roomy but looks v nice. Am with Whims at the inbetween stage. Tiny bump only seems bigger by the end of the day after all the scoffing!

Brooking for that full moon effect for Ninja.
