Not the slightest bit adorable at the moment, nothing seems to stop her crying. She's been fed, winded, cuddled, nappy changed. You name it, I've tried it. She's just grumpy today Angry

When she isn't crying though... :o I'll dig out a photo and put up soon

Hmm, she's just done a massive fart so maybe that has something to do with it

NinjaChipmunk · 21/06/2012 15:38

Ha! Grin Hopefully that'll calm her down. Its so frustrating when they are grumpy and you don't know why. I bet she's just gorgeous though.

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 21/06/2012 15:41

Ha ha jen :o Hope DD feel a bit better now!!

I'm really enjoying GoT ninja, I'd say give it a bash. Depends what you like, box-set wise, but we enjoyed The Fringe which is a bit x-filesy?

ScrambledSmegs · 21/06/2012 15:43

Grin. Ah yes, the farts. How do babies do such adult-sounding ones?! Hope she calms down now, Jen.

I'm reading Whispers Underground by Ben Aabramovitch, no. 3 in the series. It's fun, supernatural/police theme, he's a former Dr Who writer and it shows! I had to stop reading book 2 of Game of Thrones because I could see what was going to happen to Bran and I couldn't take it Sad. I might be able to handle it after this book. Just read Bring Up The Bodies by Hilary Mantel - seriously, read it! Sequel to Wolf Hall and it's just as good, a fantastic read.

Ooh, that was an essay. Fancy starting a book club?!

Seems to have done the trick, she's looking quite chilled out now

JenFraggle · 21/06/2012 16:03

Spoke too soon. Screeching the place down again [sigh]

I've put up a pic if anyone is interested

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 21/06/2012 16:12

Awwww jen she's gorgeous!

whimsicalname · 21/06/2012 16:38

bollocks and arse. I just wrote a really long post about how fed up I am and the internet ate it and then the toddler bit me.

That'll learn me for being so self indulgent.

How's everyone else?

scarletfingernail · 21/06/2012 17:07

Aww Jen DD is adorable!

My DD also farts a lot. And the smell is unbelievable! I worry when we go out if anyone wants to peek at her in her pram, the smell from it sometimes is knockout! Probably my love of spicy food is to blame.

I've almost ordered online food shopping a few times, but I bottle it at the last minute in case there's anything wrong with it when it arrives. I might live a little a go for it soon Grin

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 21/06/2012 17:09

Have bookmarked your link jen - do you get 25p every time I shop, or first time only?

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 21/06/2012 17:09

And arf at the bitey toddler whims :o

I ate half a bag of strawberry laces and now I feel sick. Serves me right for spoiling my dinner, really Blush

JenFraggle · 21/06/2012 17:25

Not sure if it is a one off or every time but it all helps. Cornwall is one of the poorest parts of the country and we are in one of the poorest parts of Cornwall :(

DreamingOfPeace · 21/06/2012 20:40

Oh Jen, she's just perfect, suits her name too :)

TheLittleFriend · 21/06/2012 20:45

farfallarocks · 22/06/2012 09:27

Hello Hello lovely brookers just to let you all know, scan went very well this morning, a gorgeous little girl, sucking her thumb and kicking away. The sonographer was brilliant and walked us through every step as I was so nervous. I feel like the luckiest woman alive today.
Off to catch up properly now on the thread!

scarletfingernail · 22/06/2012 09:31

Thanks Congratulations farfalla, that's the best news! I'm so happy for you.

Yay Far GrinGrin

ThanksThanks

Stacks · 22/06/2012 11:27

Wow Far that's amazing news. I can't wait till my 20 week scan, "just" 4 weeks to go...

whimsicalname · 22/06/2012 12:07

Great news far. Must be a relief!

I've been out on the bike with my spotty 2 year old. Rather windy, but good to blow the cobwebs away. We had a lovely trip to our city museum, only marred by a man in the coffee shop across the road telling the boy off for going to say hello to him. Jeese, if you want to work in silence go to a library.

I told him as much too. If there'd been two adults having a animated conversation I bet he wouldn't have told them off.

I'm off on a screen printing course tomorrow. I can't wait! I really need a day away after a week with the poxed one. But I'm totally stressing about my drawing capabilities.

Anyone else got plans for the weekend?

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 22/06/2012 12:20

Wow whims that sounds really cool - I'd love a Print Gocco if they still made them but have never really done screenprinting. Let me know how it was, after? :)

That guy sounds like a bleep real joy Hmm

We're seeing family tomorrow, and I'll probably sleep through Sunday Blush

Stacks · 22/06/2012 13:12

Whims some people are just annoying. If your DS was polite about saying hello there's no reason for chastisement! It's a social gathering place, not a library. Grumble.

I've actually got a fairly busy weekend lined up. Off to the gym tomorrow morning for the first time in years a while. Shopping in the afternoon for DSIL1's birthday (and to look in the JL sale). Then a stag night in the afternoon/evening (weird, but true).

On Sunday we're off to DSIL2's flat warming party, it starts in the afternoon and I'm hoping won't go on too late.
