Grin Ah well it does sound lime you've got some stuff lined up for him! Take care.

fluff a day in the sun, mning working hard. Sounds good!

I'm off to buy some fabric and essentials for my craft box! I will be practicing with my sewing machine later - if my typing goes funny it's because I've sewed my fingers together Hmm. Anyway,my first project is new cushion covers, hope I don't balls them up completely as we actually need them!

Gah! I've just taken the contracts down to the agent and we have a viewing booked in for tomorrow at 10.30!! Its a good thing they only took the pics on Monday so the house is still a bit tidy. Right I need a list of jobs to do!

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 20/06/2012 11:44

Wow that's fab! Good luck ninja! Did you put an offer in on the other house yet? :)

NinjaChipmunk · 20/06/2012 11:51

No not yet, going to call them today to see what kind of interest they have had. I suppose I should tackle the stains on the hall carpet and dig out the duster. I was expecting viewings for Saturday, it's knocked me off kilter.

Stacks · 20/06/2012 13:18

Oh Ninja too much stress for you! I hope you still make time for your nap today, remember, your DH can clean the carpet when he gets home - but you're unlikely to get a nap once he's home!

I've not got much to report here, went out for a craft evening last night which was fun. I've got a mistake in my knitting though (jumper for DH) and I can't figure out how to fix it. I unpicked 5 rows last night and re-knit them, but seem to have made the same mistake :( I've somehow got the pattern backwards, so the front is knitting on the back side. I just don't know which row I did twice, or didn't do at all. I'm hoping DH's granny can help me!

cartoon very sorry to hear your news. I really hope you get a nice clear result at the scan next week. Take care of yourself.

whimsicalname · 20/06/2012 13:58

Hello everyone. I'm at my wits end with my 2 year old, who has had chicken pox since last Thursday and is still getting new spots. He doesn't seem ill at all, just fed up of being stuck at home with his mummy. He spends all day wandering around asking for his daddy.

Rant over. Although I could get started on next door's builder. What a rude man.

Sorry to hear you're doing all the work ninja. Have you got a comfy neighbourhood coffee shop to escape to? I find if I'm not near the jobs that need doing, they don't seem so important. And if I'm not in the house, I'm not making it untidy.

Hope you're feeling better stacks Annoying about the knitting! I find unpicking the devil's work. I can never get back on track.

Exciting about the craft box smegs. John Lewis sale starts tomorrow!

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 20/06/2012 14:12

John Lewis Sale, you say? Shock is that just their craft department, or baby stuff too? does not need any more craft stuff Blush

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 20/06/2012 14:17

I hope DS gets better soon, whims - especially as we're due wet weather and he won't even be able to escape to the garden soon! :(

NinjaChipmunk · 20/06/2012 14:52

Whims do you have any parks near you he could burn off some energy in without being too near other people? That's what we resorted to, he enjoyed it if we had picnics there too? CPox is very frustrating when they are contagious but 'well'

whimsicalname · 20/06/2012 16:00

Thanks guys. Our parks are small and well used and full of dog poo and drunks so we've had to beat a retreat twice.

JL sale on everything I think. I'm only interested in wool and lego star wars tho.

clickingtock · 20/06/2012 23:42

Cartoon - sorry to hear your news was inconclusive. Brooking for your next scan. ((((hugs))))

Oh Whims - I know how you feel. DS is always after Daddy. And yours is spotty too.

Good luck being crafty Smegs and enjoy the sale all of you. Hope Ninja's property take over is going well.

I can only say never again to bidding for an EU contract. WHAT A FOCKER. I have been printing documentation since 10am this morning and just printed the last label for 5 envelopes all having to fit into one big parcel! The courier won't know what's hit him. I don't think I've ever done so much printing in my life, well, not since I was in charge of photocopying for a massive legal company in Hong Kong during my year off, working in a windowless room. I suppose it was a trip down memory lane to bad old 1990 all over again.

Exhausting. No wonder the EU costs a fortune to run if this is how they go about things.

I hope the tockbean has survived. I feel v sorry for him/her - I feel trashed this week. Still, a rest now. Apart from all the voluntary work I've landed myself in.

Silly old Tock. And I can't even have a stiff whiskey.

Happy note: we have our new Phil N Teds Explorer. LUSH. And my childminder will pass on her second hand 'peanut' to go with it when she is done (attachable bassinet). Hurray.

Enough of me. I better try to get some ZZzzzs.

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 21/06/2012 09:09

Lovely pram tock did you get the double one? It looks terribly ergonomic and convenient. Sorry to hear the EU has cost you a small rainforest, hopefully it'll be worth it?

I've just had what is possibly number 3 preggo meltdown Blush Am completely exhausted as I'm anaemic and haven't been sleeping well for a few weeks (hip pain) either and, after getting up at the crack of dawn to meal plan and do the week's shop before work on Tuesday, DH announces he wants what was going to be our dinner at lunchtime instead, thereby messing the whole week's plan up - cue the waterworks! Blush

NinjaChipmunk · 21/06/2012 11:48

aw fluff! I have some very random melt down teary moments, usually all caused by dp saying something that would not usually make me bat an eyelid. It is tres annoying when you've planned everything though. Oh and i'm sure you know this already but online grocery shopping is your friend when pregnant. I only do top ups at the shops for bread and milk really!
I have my own orbit, it is official. Plus in all the pandemonium of organising the place for todays viewing I totally missed my gp appointment. It was only a growth one and I do have a mw appt next thursday, do you think I should rebook or not bother? Baby is moving loads so no problems there....other than that its just blood pressure, testing wee, listening for hb etc. Not sure what to do?
tock p&t's are really nice, I would very happily have one. Hope you managed to rest after your mammoth printing session.
I have £50 John Lewis vouchers, I wonder what I should buy......

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 21/06/2012 12:04

Do they test wee/bp/hb at your MW appointment? If so I wouldn't bother tbh... but that's also partly because it's a 2 week wait for a GP appointment in these parts!

I've not really thought about internet shopping ninja - how do you find the dates on your fresh stuff? (I was thoroughly annoyed Tues because everything I bought goes off on Thurs (today); I can only imagine internet shopping is worse? Confused )

NinjaChipmunk · 21/06/2012 12:25

I use sainsbos and it usually says on the website how long you can expect stuff to stay fresh for, they've been very good actually and rarely seem to substitute and most stuff stays fresh for a fair while. It also can give you a list of your 'usuals' to pick from first which is handy. I guess it depends where you would usually shop? Ocado are meant to be very good too I believe. But they just make me think of the thread in classics 'only with ocado' where someone had a text from ocado to say their Easter shopping was going to be delivered by Jesus in a cabbage van. Grin
The gp appt would basically be the same as next weeks mw appt hence me thinking it may not be worth rebooking.

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 21/06/2012 13:22

Hmmm I might have to give Sainsbos a whirl next week, in that case! Ocado is waitrose isn't it? Bit out of our budget Wink

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 21/06/2012 13:38

I'm sooooo tired I'm having my first proper coffee since January which means I'm going straight to hell, I'm sure

NinjaChipmunk · 21/06/2012 13:42

nah, a coffee should be fine, just not 5 of them! I am also sleepy, may have a nap later but must dig out some lunch first.

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 21/06/2012 14:01

Next door is having double glazing put in (i.e. much drilling) or I'd join you in a nap!

ScrambledSmegs · 21/06/2012 14:17

fluff you'll be fine. One coffee will not be a problem! I got a nespresso machine for my birthday and have to admit I had a full-caf when I was feeling particularly tired.

Have you bought a Dream Genii pillow? I found mine indispensable when my hips hurt in later pg. Also, silicon earplugs are the mutts nuts, look and feel odd but you can't hear a thing through them, great for sleeping in the daytime (and festivals!).

tock so Envy of your P&T explorer, I've been eyeing that one up, like the lime green but also the red. I hope DH agrees to it soon! Glad you got the tender sorted, it sounds exhausting. Hope you slept well!

I am soooo tired. I've dropped the B6, was on 50mg and now nothing apart from my pg multivit. Turns out it was probably the only thing stopping me sleeping 12 hours a day Confused. DH is never going to see me! Trying to stay awake by reading my new book, it's doing the job for now!

OP posts:
FluffyJawsOfDoom · 21/06/2012 15:01

I feel amaaaazing thank you thank you thank you Mr Nespresso! :o

I have a body pillow which really helps, but sadly my hips are starting to cause me problems despite this now (I never had very wide hips pre-pg, and I wonder if this is why I'm in pain now, stuff stretching etc?? It started to niggle very early on, 12 weeks-ish). I'm going to ask beg for a referral for physio when I see the MW in a fortnight, as I've heard it makes a massive difference. I'm not in agony or anything - I could cope if it weren't stopping me from sleeping - but I assume it'll get worse if I do nothing.

Watcha reading? I'm on book 3 of Game of Thrones. DH says I can get a kindle next month once I get my first paycheque, so I can read one-handed once the baby comes or that's my excuse :o

Hope you feel less tired soon!

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 21/06/2012 15:02

PS I'm another Nespresso worshipper, it's my favourite gadget :o

NinjaChipmunk · 21/06/2012 15:10

one of my friends has a nespresso and she loves it to Grin Is game of thrones any good? I already have 2 books on the go and one I haven't started yet but I get the feeling I may need to rack some more up. And look for some box sets for those late nights, got any recommendations?

JenFraggle · 21/06/2012 15:23

I've had a couple of Sainsbury's deliveries. Both times the driver has told us that they pick the items with the longest date when it comes to fresh items. They have always had a decent date on them so it seems like they were telling the truth.

I'll be a bit cheeky here. If you click on this link you can register to support my Guiding unit. Once you have registered as a supporter (we don't see you personal info by the way) you can search for Sainsburys and if you do an online shop through the link on the website, we get a 25p donation.

NinjaChipmunk · 21/06/2012 15:29

hello jen how's things going with you and the little one? Have you had any sleep recently? Grin Is she totally adorable?
