Grin at Fluffy Which bag is it?

Hope it's gone well Ninja

clickingtock · 18/06/2012 16:34

I luff your bump too Fluff - you don't look at all huge to me. Well done on the purchase! You deserve it.

Funny about the beans kicking at your Brax Hicks. I didn't have BxHks with DS so not sure what they must be like.

Hello Far - how you diddling. Good luck Ninja. Whims - hope you got an apron answer.

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 18/06/2012 16:38

Not braxton hicks (is that what I wrote? Doh), pelvic floor exercises/kegals :o

I bought this bag (for about half its price :o )

scarletfingernail · 18/06/2012 16:40

Oooh gorgeous and a bargain at half the price Grin

NinjaChipmunk · 18/06/2012 19:17

nice bag fluff, ours had to be a bit manly or dp wouldn't go near it. We have one of these but its still in very good nick for being nearly 5 years old.

I am knackered, I spent about 4 hours cleaning, then had lunch then got ds and dropped him over the road for a playdate, he had a tizz at their house and demanded to come home which then resulted in his little friend coming over, then when she'd gone home our neighbour popped round and announced she was interested in buying our flat....now just waiting for our chinese takeaway to appear.
I can't remember what anyone else has said so I think I'll just go into zombie mode and stare at the telly for a bit.

NinjaChipmunk · 19/06/2012 09:20

cartoon is your scan today? Good luck and let us know how you get on! Brooking super double mega hard for you x

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 19/06/2012 09:36

Good luck cartoon! I'm pretty sure she said 11.45, ninja - will be brooking big time!

Have you recovered this morning, ninja? :)

NinjaChipmunk · 19/06/2012 09:41

yes just about, and today I have a lovely lady arriving at about lunchtime who will make my house sparkle! Money well spent I think! Now off to work out how to clean the hall carpet....

Stacks · 19/06/2012 10:38

Cartoon thinking of you and brooking super hard!

Ninja sounds like things went well, and so nice to have someone come clean for you... I wonder if I could convince my DH to do that. :)

I was hiding all day yesterday with a terrible headache. Seem to be much better today, though we'll see how the day progresses. I hope it's just a headache though, there's been an awful cold going round our office which I really don't want to get!

My sister is trying to get me to announce my pg on Facebook. What do people think? She says it's a good way to let the family I don't speak to know, and also allow her (and others in the family) to post how much they're looking forward to being a grandparent/aunt etc. I don't know what I'd say though, it seems like quite personal news really, I struggled to tell people in work about it, Facebook seems akin to standing on a street corner and shouting it out. Is anyone actually interested??

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 19/06/2012 10:56

I was "outed" on FB by my SIL iirc, I was probably about 14-15 weeks - I did get a flood of congratulations from those who didn't already know, but after that haven't posted about it too much. (Thing is, I have posted hollibob photos which would have given the game away anyway?)

Hope your headache improves! :)

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 19/06/2012 10:57

So in conclusion to my brain dump, I think there's an acceptable fb posting level sitting somewhere between not mentioning it at all, and posting every little niggle/scan photo etc!

hawthers · 19/06/2012 11:15

Good luck cartoon brooking for you

clickingtock · 19/06/2012 12:53

Oh just enjoy the FB glory Stacks - why not? You are well and truly pregnant (not in first tri I mean) and some people love to hear about pgs - it's a real boost for them. Hope the headache has gone. How was your birthday?

Cartoon - hope you get great results at the scan. Big brook.

ScrambledSmegs · 19/06/2012 13:10

Brooking hard for a good result at your scan, cartoon.

Stacks ooh, dunno, it's a tricky one. I understand your SIL wants to talk bumps n' babies, but if it makes you uncomfortable then you really don't have to announce it. Maybe do a non-announcement? Something like 'Stacks is really pleased she's found the most comfortable pair of maternity jeans ever!' or is that too boasty for you? Just go with whatever you feel comfortable with, I'd say.

I received my sewing book, and unearthed my sewing machine. Looks a lot less scary than I remember! I'm off to John Lewis to spend some vouchers tomorrow, so I'll get some basic 'kit', choose some fabric (plus some cheap stuff for practicing on first!) and hopefully make some nice new cushion covers as my first project! Vair nervous, hope I don't sew my fingers together Confused.

NinjaChipmunk · 19/06/2012 20:59

oh lovey, you poor thing. I do hope you get a conclusive positive answer on your next scan. Keep your loved ones close at hand for the duration x

NinjaChipmunk · 20/06/2012 08:45

I am seriously fucking grumpy today. I'm starting to feel that since I'm having to do all the sorting out on the house for sale/ what & where we want to buy that I have no time to actually prepare for the fact that a baby will be here most likely by the end of next week. I've not been sleeping particularly well but dp hasn't either so he's been getting up really early (6.30 this morning, that is early in our house) and what does he do? Make tea and watch telly quietly? No he decides to get ds up who will normally sleep till about 8ish, and also leave his phone alarm switched on in our room. So I don't get to go back to sleep either. And he's been out loads in the evening recently leaving me to sort out ds at bedtime. And getting them both to tidy up after themselves is driving me insane. And the cleaner who came yesterday was crap but I can't really complain as her husband has looked after our garden for the last 5 years really well and we want him to come and do the new one when we find somewhere to move to. GGRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
right rant over.

Whats everyone up to today? I'm going to clean our hall carpet and lounge rug. And see if our neighbour wants to make us an offer on the flat before we drop the contract back to the agent. Who wants to do block viewings on saturday morning. But I AM going to have a nap this afternoon. I have decided and it will happen. Oh and I finally remembered to order the front wheels for the pushchair, I hope they arrive before the baby does...I may rummage in the garage for more baby stuff.
Someone come and cheer me up!!

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 20/06/2012 09:10

Good luck cartoon - sorry you have to wait even longer :(

Wow ninja - that's not on, you need sleep! I'd be having stern words Wink But definitely make time for a nap!

Work work work today :( sorry that's not very cheery is it?

NinjaChipmunk · 20/06/2012 09:17

I feel better for ranting though fluff! I am going to take a leisurely breakfast and shower I think. Then potter about doing jobs. I reckon my jobs can be finished by late lunchtime if I put my mind to it. And the boys won't be back till 6ish so at least I can make some time to relax.
Are you working from home? At least thats nicer than being stuck in an office all day.

ScrambledSmegs · 20/06/2012 09:31

Now listen here MrNinja. All this leaving Ninja to do all the moving work, and try to prepare for a new sproglet which she will be having in a matter of weeks is Not On. You are supposed to be a helpful and supportive DH right now. Instead you are heading into chocolate teapot territory Angry. Pull your socks up and we'll have no more of this silliness, ok?

How's that Ninja? Hope you have a good day.

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 20/06/2012 09:56

Yep I mn work from home - I might even take my laptop into the garden to make the most of the sun :o

:o smegs

NinjaChipmunk · 20/06/2012 10:03

Thank you smegs I shall pass that on to him. He does need to make and put up a new bathroom doorframe tomorrow and when we do actually move, he will be doing all of it as I shall be in charge of 2 children. When I had ds he did so much housework during his paternity leave he lost about a stone in weight!
fluff definitely utilize the sunshine if you can. Grab a perk where you can!
