Don't forget the new thread is here www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/1494588-November-2012-nearly-halfway-there for when this one is all full up. Please could someone put a link to it when we get on to page 40 so that everyone can move on to it okay.

Congrats all the team bluers!

I'm another one in the north west - just outside Manchester in Derbyshire. Meet up sounds good. Can't get my 2 to MOSI they are completely obsessed with the dinosaur in the Manchester Museum (the stuffed animals there are just too creepy for me).

Think baby brain has set in. Have spent the last 2 weeks hunting high and low for my front door key including asking at shops, tipping out contents of my (huge) bag, etc. Today I just moved a couple of pieces of paper on my desk (the desk I sit at for about 5/6 hours a day) and there they were. Grrrr!

TheDetective · 13/06/2012 19:45

Are you booked at Tameside Daisy? That's where I used to work!

FatimaLovesBread · 13/06/2012 19:53

I'm North Middle Grin West Yorkshire but v close to the Manc border, also not far from South Yorks and Derbyshire borders.

I'm another one with the excessive discharge. I sometimes panic that the dampness comes through to my trousers Blush

How many blues and pinks have we got so far?

I think my belly button is on the verge of popping out! It's definately less inny than it used to be and the top is trying to pop out completely Sad I don't want it to. I hate the feeling when you poke your belly button [cringe]

FatimaLovesBread · 13/06/2012 19:57

Oh forgot to ask, can I have prawns? Like the little pink ones you have in a prawn salad with thousand island dressing? Or do they have to be cooked? Or are they actually cooked and that's why they're pink?
Oh I'm confusing myself now Grin

Kyzordz · 13/06/2012 20:06

Congrats to everyone who's found out! I have read the past couple of pages just now but have already forgotten who's found out, and what they've found out Blush. I'm getting the idea that there's alot in team blue though so far! Do we know how many there are of each so far?

I'm having some tricky problems, if I do something as drastic normal as walking the dog for half and hour and nipping into town to pick up some bits, I am then in agony all night with shooting pains down one leg, a pelvis that feels like it's on fire and the bottom of my back in agony. I also get pins and needles from the knees down, lasting for about four hours! I wish it would stop :( I'm seriously considering going to the doctors about it, but I wanted to give it a few days and do varying amounts each day and see if I can work out what my 'limit' is. TBH i've no idea what a doctor would be able to do for me anyway! Am feeling really sore and tired today, i've done NOTHING all day, it's from yesterdays dog walk and tidy of the house, i'm still suffering for it.

NervousAt20 · 13/06/2012 20:07

I ordered a crib of toys r us last week and it finally got delivered today! Haven't seen it yet though as it gone to MILs because apparently shouldn't have it in the house but just got a little white Winnie the pooh jacket that come Grin first bit of clothing I've brought so pleased with myself even though I said I would wait until friday!

LittleLolly · 13/06/2012 20:10

I'm in Bury in Lancashire, just outside Manchester. I work in Manchester. I haven't bee to MOSI since school days!!

daisychain76 · 13/06/2012 20:31

The Detective, yes, I am booked in at Tameside. Its had quite a bit of bad press over the past couple of years (in general, not the maternity bit), but I've always found it good.

TheDetective · 13/06/2012 20:39

I don't know much about the general side, but the maternity is really good, I have lots of good friends there! It has a really good rate of normal deliveries. I regret ever leaving, but the commute was too much. It was my first post after qualifying, as there was nothing closer to home at the time!

You'll be in safe hands there :)

Evilwater · 13/06/2012 21:04

Fatima- my midwife says no. My family and friends are going to have a crab sandwich waiting for me after the birth.

I miss shellfish so much!
I miss muscles, and prawns the most, as I used eat them every week.

The our baby's room is going to be bright green and cream. What about everyone else?

Evil
P.s
I miss real tea too.

Evilwater · 13/06/2012 21:07

I also miss booze.

GTbaby · 13/06/2012 21:11

i have added a "groups to join" post to our stats thread, so its easy to find.
if you have any other suggestions can you copy and paste the list and add to it, so the latest post has all the suggestions, rather then having to scroll through it all.

Wet knickers... i have been wearing panty liners for a few weeks, nope, months now! seems to be normal :s

kyzordz i would deff go and see the Dr, he can refer you to phyiso and the sooner you start that the better!

eversomuch · 13/06/2012 21:21

Congratulations toGT and Lolly! It's so fun hearing what everyone's expecting. There do seem to be a lot of boys on the way. I'm terrible at keeping up with the thread, so congrats to anyone else who's found out recently as well.

The Stats List has been updated with a few of the BOY/GIRL announcements, but will definitely need some serious updating as we cruise through our 20-wk scans: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/1485512-November-2012-Stats-List

Those of you missing tea: have you tried the Clipper organic decaf? I think it's really good. OK, I'm not British (yet), but I like to think that I know a good cuppa when I encounter one! :)

I think someone asked about baby movements the other day. I'm 19 weeks today and I tend to feel some subtle little thunking about in the evenings once I'm done trying to do everything I was supposed to do for the day and finally relax or crawl into bed.

I have a HUGE bump already. Really, you couldn't mistake me for anything but pregnant right now.

Lots of talk about prams that I haven't been able to keep up with. Very cool that some of you have already decided and bought yours. I've got a second-hand Bugaboo Cameleon right now but DD and DS will only be 19 months apart, so I will def need a double. Just have to find something that will work on London public transport. Yikes.

In other news, DD started walking recently. She's so cute toddling around -- and so chuffed with herself. :)

tomatoplantproject · 13/06/2012 21:30

Hello everyone. Congrats on all the baby boys!!

I haven't posted for a while - we've been sorting out house and a holiday, and we're not buying anything baby related until we've moved (end August) when we'll just blitz it all.

We had the scan today and happily have a healthy baby, and we haven't found out the flavour. Baby was in a bit of a hiding position and I ended up doing star jumps to get the baby moving. It stayed asleep all the way through looking v comfy!

Just been out for a meal to celebrate and think we're settled on a boys name and a girls name.

FatimaLovesBread · 13/06/2012 21:37

We're doing the baby room in a bright jungle theme. We'll be having either pale green or yellow walls with a couple of blocks of bright multicoloured stripes in blue, green, yellow and orange. With lots of giraffes (I love giraffes) and safari animals. Furniture will be white so it's not too bright.

I think I might move in to the baby's room Grin

Thechick · 13/06/2012 21:38

I miss all the firsts that our little ones do the first 18 months of life. I really am quite excited about doing it all again. I keep having moments where it hits me that I really am having a baby. It all still feels quite surreal.
I have a big bump. It's a little scary. I'm hoping that it will stop growing and the baby will grow into it. I think my belly button is starting to pop out a bit, I read that someone else's is too. I'm starting to get pains in the lower sides of my bump when I walk too far which is not good. Walking is my only exercise, I don't want to stop doing that.
Someone else said about leaving it until August to buy a pram. We are waiting until September as the pram we want will no longer be exclusive to mothercare then so hoping price will go down. I think it's completely fine to wait.

Sorry I haven't name checked. This thread moves so quickly.

TheDetective · 13/06/2012 21:46

Fatima That is similar to what our babys room will be like too! We have a white cot bed, and 2 white single wardrobes, with 3 white walls, then a wall of multicoloured stripes horizontally. It matches the bedding we got from Ikea, and they do the fabric, so we are having the curtains made! Got some jungle animal soft toys, and a jungle themed cot mobile, and am looking for some animal stick arounds to pop around the room too!

I love it Grin

MissMummy1 · 13/06/2012 21:50

We caved and bought a mothercare my3. I was a bit dubious as we're only 16 weeks, but DH found a fantastic deal on eBay on an almost new (you genuinely can't tell it's not brand new) one for £100 just 5 mins from his work. Sold. Figured now it can't do much harm, and after lots of dragging his reluctant self around shops I'm secretly quite chuffed he bought one himself - the exact same one we'd agreed we liked best! Our 20 week scan still seems ages away, I'm itching to find out. We also don't get 16 week appointments in our area anymore?

Still nothing on the movement front other than the occasional 'was that something?' flutter. That said though I like to think I have quite strong stomach muscles from diving etc so who knows.

Sickness touchwood finally seems to be easing now too. YAY!

Congrats to everyone who's found out - I've been too lazy tonight to read the 5/6 new pages...

StuntNun · 13/06/2012 22:44

Fatima I'm pretty sure prawns and other cooked seafood are fine. Prawns are grey when raw and pink when cooked. Sushi is okay as long as the fish was frozen for at least 24 hours. The NHS website is here www.nhs.uk/chq/Pages/917.aspx?CategoryID=54&SubCategoryID=130#close

Kyordz do you have PGP or sciatica? Sounds awful whatever it is. My GP is doing cortisone shots on my hips on Friday for the bursitis resulting from my sciatica so hopefully that will give me a couple of pain-free weeks. I've been in tears with it a few times over the last wee while.

Detective my mum used to work as a health visitor in Tameside, she's in Longsight now. Do you know a Neisha?

OP posts:
mrswee · 13/06/2012 22:47

Missmummy.. My 16 week appointment was a waste of time, all the midwife did was ask how I was feeling and check my blood pressure and then tell me to book a 22 week appointment with my doctor. That was it! No heart listening or anything.

Fatmialovesbread. I am
Pretty sure prawns are ok. So is smoked salmon but probably best to avoid shellfish like mussels. I've been eating prawns and drinking proper tea ... And had the odd egg that wasn't totally solid.

mrswee · 13/06/2012 22:51

Forgot to say.. I am already totally uncomfortable at night. So annoying and up peeing everytime I wake up. God knows what it's going to be like in a couple of months. I really don't know how these ladies that just love being pregnant and have lots of babies manage.. I'm a bit rubbish at it all!!

MissMummy1 · 13/06/2012 23:11

DH has resorted to sleeping in the spare room most nights! I am sooo restless as night and need to pee every hour... at least!

DesperateHousewife21 · 14/06/2012 07:20

Morning everyone :)

Sorry to keep asking but I didn't get a response last time, who was it that also had low Papp a??

Lilliana · 14/06/2012 07:24

StuntNun got in with everything I was going to say to Kyordzand Fatima! I've been eating prawns as NHS website says they are ok as long as cooked (pink). The only thing I am really missing is rare steak :(

Izzy I'm glad I'm not the only one who has had a couple of tiny leaks when sneezing. Shocked myself as I usually have a really strong bladder (being a teacher and not being able to go whenever you want to means you hold alot of water sometimes!) Blush

Congrats on all the team blue, I can't believe how many there are! I looked at the chinese thing and it says I'm having a girl. Will have to wait till November to find out.
