Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Hmm the midwife said to wait until 20 weeks with my SPD/PGP. Do you think I should go to my GP and see if she'll refer me?

I'm 16+4 and I've felt nothing. But I've got an anterior placenta so you can feel movement later with it

NervousAt20 · 12/06/2012 10:49

I'm 19+2 and have felt movement in maybe the last couple of weeks but deffinatly this last week but only when im sitting/lying down and nothing regular :)

Thechick · 12/06/2012 10:59

I'm 17+2 and havent felt any definite movement. I thought I felt 'rolling' at the weekend but thats about it. Heard the heartbeat yesterday so I know all is okay in there. I have a bump too. Theres been a few posts on the pregnancy thread about when people feel movement and i think its still quite early days for us.

kirrinIsland · 12/06/2012 11:14

I'm 18+6 and feeling some movement, but very sporadic and not proper kicks or anything. I thought I'd feel more by now with it being my second, but obviously not.

StuntNun · 12/06/2012 11:18

At 18+5 with DC3 I'm getting some brushing sensations and a few kicks but I'm not sure I would recognise them for what they were if I hadn't been pregnant before. I also need to wee all the time and I'm really thirsty which probably doesn't help with the weeing thing. I must have gone to the loo 15 times yesterday, I'm on the verge of asking for my desk just to be moved into one if the cubicles!

Iheartpasties · 12/06/2012 11:28

I'm 19 weeks and I can feel little things every now and then, not regularly. Please do not worry yourselves ladies! Esp if you have a doppler and can hear heart beats and movements etc. They are still tiny little things and it takes a while to 'tell' if you can feel them IMO.

SwissArmyWife · 12/06/2012 12:00

I'm 18 + 4 and feeling movements every day now but it varies a lot and they're not very strong yet. It's different for everyone but soon we'll all be complaining about having feet stuck under our ribs!

shanelle5 · 12/06/2012 12:01

I am 19 weeks with no 5 Blush and Im still not feeling regular movements. I must have NO stomach muscles whatsoever and should recognise the feeling of baby kicking but still only think I can feel baby moving. Its mostly when ive eaten and am sitting down. Im sure each scenario is normal and depends on placenta position, Mummys weight and varying other factors. I for one though will be much happier when I can feel bub moving on a daily basis. On the topic of pink/blue, only 8 days to go and ver much counting in this house. Wed 20th at 1.30 to be exact Smile After 4 Girls its no surprise to know Im rooting for a blue one this time but so many boys already makes me think the quota is being taken up already LOL.

stabiliser15 · 12/06/2012 12:27

Am 18+5 and think I am feeling flutters but not sure enough to say so for definite. At MW apt last week (which I did eventually make) heard the HB though, which was nice. Roll on scan on 27 June!

Further up the thread people were talking about pushchairs etc. We went to Mothercare at the weekend and received what I thought was really good advice, given their reputation. We have a McLaren XLR for DD which I love, and were thinking about what to get - DD will be 1.9 when baby arrives. The costs of some of them were shocking, and we don't know how much DD will be walking etc, so not sure what type will be most suitable. I think we will sling the baby to start off with and keep DD in the pushchair, and then if we decide we need a double buggy, will look for something suitable later on.

horseylady · 12/06/2012 12:30

19+6 I feel it daily. Have done for the last couple of week.

Detective how does your mat leave work? I think I have to start mine 27/10 at the latest, so the Saturday/Sunday before the edd? I'm nhs (none shift worker) so just curious. Could be trust policy of course!!

ShellyBobbs · 12/06/2012 13:14

My bump moves like Billio when I drink ice cold fresh orange. Been to morrisons today to stock up on my love of fizzy drinks (all sugar free of course :)), dandelion and burdock, cherryade, appleade, coke, lemonade and cloudy lemonade. Also not forgetting Tropicana which I'm still drinking 2 ltrs a day of! I'll have no teeth come Novemeber........

Forgot to say, my MIL rang me the other day, 'I don't know if you want it, but I've got you a pram'! Went round to look at it and it's a Silver Cross with cradle, pushchair and car seat, she saw it on FB, 6 months old and it was round the corner from her so she got it on the off chance, she even said not to worry if I didn't like it because she'd stick it on ebay and double her money. Bless her, it's really nice and I love it!

applepieinthesky · 12/06/2012 13:20

aww you have a lovely MIL Shelly Smile

applepieinthesky · 12/06/2012 13:36

I have been getting some quite sharp pains in my stomach today Sad Not sure whether to phone midwife or wait and see if they get any worse. They are infrequent at the moment.

ShellyBobbs · 12/06/2012 13:56

Give her a ring Apple, no harm in speaking to someone.

I'm really lucky in that we get along brilliantly, she even phone up and speaks to me rather than hubby lol :) My mum sees us as the 'token family', all gushing about me and my lovely family but has never ever called round just to see her grandchildren, never phones me and couldn't really give a toss, so I suppose she's my substitute mum. She even asked me how I got pregnant and I told her the condom split, don't think you can get much closer to your MIL Blush

ShellyBobbs · 12/06/2012 13:57

*phones up, damn these long pregnancy nails!

DesperateHousewife21 · 12/06/2012 13:57

apple hope the pains go away for you.

Ok so at 17 weeks it's not totally unusual to not be feeling movement even with dc2. Guess I'll have to wait a bit longer then!

ShellyBobbs · 12/06/2012 14:01

DH You know you've now set yourself up don't you. You will be the one on here in 20 weeks, in tears because you've not slept for 3 weeks because baby is playing tunes on your ribs Grin

ShellyBobbs · 12/06/2012 14:03

apple I've just had a quick google (I know) and it's probably your ligaments round your uterus stretching, but give your MW a bell, they do say to ring if in any doubt.

applepieinthesky · 12/06/2012 14:05

Stupidly I haven't been carrying my notes around with me and don't have mw's number in my mobile so will see if they ease off by the time I finish work. Ligaments stretching sounds likely though.

DesperateHousewife21 · 12/06/2012 14:07

Ha shelly that'll be fine by me! Any sign the baby is doing ok will keep me happy!

Thechick · 12/06/2012 15:28

I don't carry my notes with me. Are we supposed to? They are so big, sure they weren't designed by a woman, lol!!

ShellyBobbs · 12/06/2012 15:35

I'm the same, no notes and no MW number in my phone.......baby brain?

Evilwater · 12/06/2012 15:37

the baby does get more active, later on. I'm 21 weeks and i felt it kicking in the morning, and so far on and off this afternoon.

im researching prams and car seats, talk about a nightnare. To many to choose from, and some fit some cars, and others not.
The prams are even more confusing! some come with some stuff which others don't, and because of that the prices vary. Not to mention some are ok for babys and some arn't.

i need help, so i've gone to the which website and paid a pound. To find the best ones are the most expensive and are well out of our price range.
evil

DesperateHousewife21 · 12/06/2012 15:41

I think I'm more concerned because I've got an obv bump and do expect to be able to feel the baby.

Our main priority is the car seat, we borrowed one from SIL last time but she's preg again too so is obv having it back, so we need to find our own. Might try and get one from eBay.
We got a maxi cosi one for ds from 9 months onwards for £16 on eBay, bargain!

applepieinthesky · 12/06/2012 15:42

Would you consider a good quality second hand one EW?
