Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Weird dream from last night.

I was on a cruise with a Chinese couple, Hugh Grant, Davina McCall and some other hollywood man (can't remember now), we had funded it with stolen credit cards and had hired x2 cabin 'pods' that were like conservatories on the deck which were £127 per day. In the duty free bit there was a massive bottle of Hoegaarden beer (my absolute fav alcoholic drink) that had a polar bear cover for £2.99! We were living the dream........

So for definite, my really weird dreams have officially started.

Mmmmmm I'm having home made cheese and onion pie (hubby and my 7 year old daughter have made it for me) with veg and for afters I'm having ginger sticky pudding with chocolate sauce, bought fresh today from the farmers market in Manchester. This is the first time I've eaten 'shit' food for a good couple of months now, so will probably feel a bit 'envy' afterwards, but it'll be worth it.

Pasties I'm so jealous, my friend went over last year with her family, that makes about 5 of them now that went and never came back.

ShellyBobbs · 10/06/2012 18:10

[envy' DOH!

ShellyBobbs · 10/06/2012 18:10

OMG Envy is what I originally meant!.......

DesperateHousewife21 · 10/06/2012 18:39

Congrats on another boy stunt!!

TheDetective · 10/06/2012 18:39

I'm soooooooooooooooo tired waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!

Night shifts and pregnancy do not mix!!!

Work is just so busy right now, and understaffed. I was nearly in tears the night before last. Been late off work every night, by nearly an hour.

In other news! Congrats to DH on your little girl, and congrats to Stunt on your baby boy! Is it this week all the 20 week scans start coming?!

Anyone elses bump still not really turned into a proper bump yet? Mine popped out overnight at 15 weeks, but it still doesn't look like a bump when I'm in clothes! It just kinda looks like extra flab :( To be honest, its still the same size it was 4 weeks ago, not changed from a 15 week 'look a bit fat' bump.

Off to grump some more... be back in the land of the living soon!

Bluetinkerbell · 10/06/2012 18:39

Lots of boys :) Yay!

I'm having my MW appointment tomorrow morning, looking forward to hearing the heartbeat! and then Tuesday afternoon the consultant is doing me a reassurance scan :) excited as she might be able to spot pink/blue.

Been feeling lots of definite kicks which is very reassuring and DH felt it yesterday morning as well, which was very nice :)

Sophiathesnowfairy · 10/06/2012 19:24

Thanks eversomuch and swissarmywife for lunch ideas. I'm liking the thought of spicey chickpeas but not as much as the galaxy/dark chocolate!

stuntnun wow three boys! Congratulations.

After ages of just the odd random, lazy, nudge rather than a kick I think I had a bit of excitement ths afternoon after roast beef and Yorkshire pudding! This leads me to believe it is a boy that has just the same tastes as DH and DS.

My20 week scan is not till 21st, i am going to leave it a a surprise this time I think. Am I the only one not finding out?

DonnaDoon · 10/06/2012 19:38

No Sophia Im going try not to find out too...hoping not to cave in on the day.It would be handy to know in advance but DH would really like a surprise when its born we ve not found out with the other three so dont want to break tradition IYSWIM:)

Passmethecrisps · 10/06/2012 19:50

Congrats on the baby-flavours! Lovely.

We won't be finding out as we would need to get a private scan. Getting used to the idea of a surprise.

Just watched 5 minutes of OBEM - I want to be like Heather the water birther - "didn't even hurt".

Have spent all day feeling utterly sorry for myself as I have a really nasty case of sinusitis. It is really painful - feels like my teeth are being pushed out with the pressure. Currently downing mugs of sugary, milky tea which is actually making me feel a bit better. Shouldn't drink too much tea really but it is tasty and making me feel nice so I guess one night of overdosing won't hurt.

misslaughalot · 10/06/2012 20:27

I just watched that OBEM too Passme, didn't she make it look easy! Brilliant, I'm having a birth like that too please!

Another one here not finding out, as it's our first baby we think finding out on the day is going to be so exciting

I have my MW appt too tomorrow Bluetinkerbell, really hoping she'll listen to the heartbeat? Thought I felt a first movement earlier in the week but not sure, I'll be 17 wks tomorrow so it's still pretty early I guess.

NervousAt20 · 10/06/2012 20:43

Congratulations Stuntnun a baby boy! Grin

I was havin headaches but thankfully they've gone but last week have been feeling really really shattered again :( hope it doesn't last

19 weeks today Grin and my scan in 5 days can't wait!!

LittleLolly · 10/06/2012 20:45

I watched OBEM too, and said to DH 'I hope I can do it like that'. She made it look so easy and relaxed! Not holding my breath for it to be that way though.... Grin

Got my scan on Tuesday, still not decided whether to find out if I am growing a girl or boy! Very excited to see the little one again.

We've been cuddling our beautiful 6 week old niece all afternoon.... Eek can't wait til we are cuddling our own baby!!

DesperateHousewife21 · 10/06/2012 21:14

misslaughalot I'm the same as you, 17 weeks tomorrow and have felt what I think are kicks but not often.
I thought I'd feel them earlier with it being my second but obv not! I'm glad I've got the Doppler to reassure me.

mrswee · 10/06/2012 21:43

the chick thanks for the links! It's my 16 week appoinment tomorrow so hoping to presaude the midwife to do the heart beat too!

applepieinthesky I had those head aches with my first preganancy, started around 20 weeks, I was told it was to do with pressure and all the extra blood flowing round the body. It was pretty horrible. I got those weird fire fly lights around my eye with them sometimes today, which I got today funnily enough.. so maybe the head aches are coming too.

Cograts DH and stuntnun

Hi everyone else.. not had time to read properly and catch up yet. busy weekend!

GTbaby · 11/06/2012 01:20

Woop 20 weeks. Finally half way there. Pointed this out to DH n he got rather confused with the40 weeks not being 9 months.

I have to say I'm rather jealous of tummy pictures on FB ATM Sad. My tummy just looks like two rolls of fat. ( only those of u who have this may know what I mean lol). Pictures of FB show lovely round bumps that r babies and not fat.

Think I'm gona have to start going to gym! And seeing as I'm still fresh with my holiday wax I have no excuse for aquafit nxt weekend.

I have scan on Wednesday. We won't be finding out. DH wants a surprise Sad. Still trying to mk him change his mind. But doubt he will. Right better sleep ! Got to get up for work in a few hours.

GTbaby · 11/06/2012 02:04

Oh dear. Still awake Sad think it might have something to do with harribo I ate on drive back from gatwick

Iheartpasties · 11/06/2012 02:54

Well it's bank holiday weekend here, and yesterday and today it has been pissing it down, feels just like a british bank holiday :)

I hung out some washing the other day and felt awful, bending over to pick things up from the floor and then having my arms above me head did not feel great at all. I'll have to stop using the washing line and just get by with the clothes horse.

I'd love to go shopping today but with the rain 'm sure it will be packed and there will be no where to park, so not so much fun really!

Lovely to hear everyones news with regards to team blue and team pink, we wont find out until the birth :) I got to lift up dd's leg and look between her legs and it was very magic and special so I look forward to being the one to find out this time too. But I don't blame anyone for wanting to find out, he technology is there so why not, I'm sure it helps with names and shopping!!

I know 11 people in RL who are expecting around october-november-early december. It's so mad that there are so many of us!! My friend told me she had had her 12 week scan this week after a mc in Feb so thats fab news for her and her little family.

We live on the 2nd floor and there are quite a few steps to get up here, I really have to stop trying to 'do it all', I find myself carrying 14 mo dd and loads of groceries up the steps and it's way too much to carry. I've gotta stop!

Lilliana · 11/06/2012 07:25

I'm another not finding out!

We were watching OBEM last night too, did say to DH I would like to be like Heather, however, I suspect I will be more like the blonde lady - Dh agrees with me Grin

Is lovely having Dh home, but have to go back to work today :( Not really looking forward to it but the 6 week countdown starts here so can't complain.

Pasties I'm struggling with the 'how heavy is too heavy'? question. My idea of too heavy does not seem match up with some of the people around me. (I feel that an empty smallish bookcase is ok to slide across the floor, my family apparently don't) Are there any 'rules'?

DesperateHousewife21 · 11/06/2012 07:31

pasties we live on the first floor so there's 16 stairs to go up. I make ds walk them now! It takes longer but def takes the strain of me, he's far too heavy to carry everywhere now I make him walk as much as I can.

Spending the day at baby groups today, ds can go off and play while I chill out on a beanbag!

Iheartpasties · 11/06/2012 07:33

Lilliana I'm really not sure! I guess it depends on what you are used to and how fit you are, if you're a pretty fit type then I'm sure it's different to if you have never really carried and moved heavy things! I just can't work out how to get shopping home if I dont carry it all and dd, I cant go up and down up and down and leave her in our flat, she'd hate it and scream!!

Iheartpasties · 11/06/2012 07:34

desperatehousewife you are very sensible, I try and make her walk up the stairs as much as possible but sometimes she is too slow, or stops still and wont budge!!

DesperateHousewife21 · 11/06/2012 07:47

Ha yes I have that problem sometimes too, if he's mucking around I leave him and go and dump my stuff inside and then drag him up!
But then he's 23 months now so slightly older, not sure I'd leave a 14 mo wobbling on the stairs!

ShellyBobbs · 11/06/2012 08:57

Another night of no sleep, but no weird dreams at least!

Have had another fall this morning :( Don't know what's up with me, but suspect that because I'm quite 'large' so soon, my whole centre of gravity is off. I was getting out of the shower and just went full length on the floor, luckily it was all quite slow so no damage this time, my ankle was unhurt!

DH, it's you isn't it for facebook? I'll 'uncover' myself so you can search for me, it's the same name as on here, as that's almost my name :)

Thechick · 11/06/2012 09:26

Hey all. I'm back at work today after a week off. The only saving grace is that I have to leave early for my 16 (17) week midwife appointment. Do any of you guys know if they take bloods at this appointment or is it just for catching up on things.

StuntNun · 11/06/2012 09:33

Chick I didn't get any bloods taken at mine, just blood pressure and she listened to the heartbeat.

Lilliana if it hurts you or pulls inside then don't lift/move it but err on the side of caution because it's easy to overdo it and be left sore afterwards.

With regard to finding out the gender I always say it's a Marmite thing, you either want to know or you don't and you can't explain or justify why. Now I know I'm having a boy it feels more real to me and I can start to bond better with my bump. The boys are really excited to be having a baby brother too although DS1 had a last minute change of heart to girl for some reason. For some reason I just couldn't get started on names before I knew the flavour of my bump and I really want to have that decided before DS3 arrives, not six weeks after like with DS2!
