Eww Swiss I shop at Asda and will be checking my peppers more carefully from now on.

Shanelle sorry your DH doesn't seem to 'get' it. I hope he can sort out his feelings soon so he can support you a bit more. I haven't got any great advice but I have been trying to make Dh feel an important part of the pg too, he is great and really excited but still says it is very surreal and doesn't feel real to him yet (TBH it doesn't feel real to me either!)

Not sure what just happened, I rang DH to say hi and see what he was up to and burst into tears on him Blush. Poor man is now having a drink with his mates probably worrying about me as couldn't explain why I was upset to him as didn't know!! Have welled up over stupid adverts and songs but not over nothing. Sorry now blubbing while writing this.

Hi Lane, welcome, sorry I'm not usually this bonkers

Passmethecrisps · 08/06/2012 21:11

Hi to Lane and other new comers!

swiss I would be put off peppers for life after that - how grim!

I have just got myself stupidly wound up at an AIBU - I am obviously not cut out for it. Note to self to stay away . . .

Anyway, different things

Today, within the space of 20 minutes two people commented on my appearance. The first was gushing about how well I looked and the second said I looked 'completely knackered'. All I can think it that I had a really bad 20 minutes!

Lilliana · 08/06/2012 21:17

Hmm Passme would that be the the same one that wound me up? (which probably didn't help with the waterworks either) I also told myself to step away and come back to a nice supportive thread. I am now back at my desk spending my loooong holidays writing reports and planning maths lessons - while keeping up with MN obviously Grin

What happened in those 20 mins?!

Passmethecrisps · 08/06/2012 21:23

Sure was! I still have it ringing in my ears. How ironic that my actual
Colleagues are massively supportive but one random woman can make me feel awful.

Was sitting here feeling dreadful then I thought "I know where I'll go to feel better"

Must have been a hell of a twenty minutes that's for sure. I put some info out to staff in the staff room and emailed people before heading to class. Who would have thought?

ValiumQueen · 08/06/2012 21:27

Mat B1 form should be in your possession at 21 weeks to allow time for it all to be processed.

I want a baby jogger city mini too. I could not put my little scrap on a buggy board over winter.

Had a quick shag on waking as kids were still asleep which is a rare thing. Peed myself. Must remember to wee first next time. Sex is awesome due to blood flow, but as I had a bleed last week I was a bit nervous, but had the sexiest dream I just had to jump DH on waking.

Passmethecrisps · 08/06/2012 21:31

Oh, and while I haven't been victim of the waterworks recently I have had periods of spectacular sogginess. During the Easter hols I cried for an hour because I had to go to the loo so often and another time I cried for over 3 hours because being asked by a waiter what I wanted to eat was all too much - we had to leave and I cried all the way home with DH just making idle chatter as if it wasn't happening because I told him too. People must have thought he was a cold hearted bastard.

And another thing! One person today commented on how cute my wee bump looked in my frock and how the frock showed it off nicely. Someone else gasped when I tol her I was 18 weeks because I didn't have a bump at all. Bumpless opinion lady was the same one who said I looked fab. Not sure how much faith to put in her opinion

Lilliana · 08/06/2012 21:34

Yep, AIBU was not made for pregnant women! Sorry you were feeling horrible too but do feel slightly better less stupid that I wasn't the only one to let it get to me.

ValiumQueen · 08/06/2012 21:39

Just checked AIBU was it the babys fault one? I just read the OP and got angry.

Passmethecrisps · 08/06/2012 21:40

valium that's useful information. Do you get it at the 20 week scan? My scan is on the 27th of June and term ends the next day. HR will obviously still be running but I want to have time to properely chat to my headteacher.

DTD is a pretty rare event around here at the moment. No issue - I think DH is just giving me peace. I told him recently I was craving privacy - not from him but from other people. Sometimes I just feel a bit crowded as I am a private person but pregnancy is very public isn't it? He has taken to getting up very early on a weekend and leaving me alone for a few hours. It means such a lot. A wee bit of a knee trembler wouldn't kill me though

Peeing beforehand is a good tip! The things you learn . . .

Passmethecrisps · 08/06/2012 21:42

I read that one too valium. Seriously, does that take a post on a web forum to work out? The guy sounds negligent. It was the babies fault? Eh?

lilliana I know- I was so relieve when I saw you back here. I stuck my virtual finger up at her so nerrnerrnanerrnerr

ValiumQueen · 08/06/2012 21:49

I have a MW appt at 21 weeks, and I get it then. May not apply to everyone.

Evilwater · 08/06/2012 21:50

Hello everyone,
I still have not got my mat b1. I left a message but no one has called back, I'll phone again on Monday.
My burn is still here, but a bit smaller and still painful.
It took me 2 hours to clean my bathroom, it's now so clean you could eat out of the bath.

Congrats to all the 20 week scans, and let's keep the good news coming.
I'm getting some twinges down there, I don't think it's anything to worry about. It could be the uterus stretching??

applepieinthesky · 08/06/2012 21:54

This thread moves so quick. it's only been a day since I posted and I'm behind already.

My auntie finally had her baby boy Smile She went into labour early yesterday morning and had him at 9pm tonight Shock 9lb 13oz. No name as yet.

Passmethecrisps · 08/06/2012 22:01

Yay, apple that's great news.

evil I am having all sorts of weirdness and twinges. I always assume stretching. I am starting to get a bit of a sore tummy which feels a bit like sausage is busting out of the wee space he is in and everything is needing to stretch out.

Evilwater · 08/06/2012 22:04

Apple, congrats.

Little9 · 08/06/2012 22:08

Hello to all the newbies (sorry has taken me a while to catch up and can't remember names). Good luck to the scanners.

Have a very definite bump, although have been described as being very "neat" by someone at work! Seem to be growing out of my normal clothes rapidly now. Am going maternity wear shopping this weekend.

Have been getting the odd "pop" now and again and aches/twinges in lower belly which I don't know if is just things stretching or baby moving. Can't wait til scan a week on Tues to see if everything is still ok. May consider getting a doppler this weekend too.

Have been feeling horny as a b**gger recently, but DH doesn't want to DTD cos he doesn't want to hurt baby. Told him it wouldn't, but he feels a bit weird about it. Doesn't make me feel any better about rapidly expanding. Not used to having a belly which is depressing me at mo cos don't know if all is ok and therefore worth it.

OMG. I would never eat peppers again if that happened to me!

Ooo, by the way. I've got my car back all nice and shiny and unbent!! Yay!!! Am really enjoying driving it although am being extra careful when behind someone!!!

Lilliana · 08/06/2012 22:08

I was wondering when you get your mat B1 so thanks Valium My HT has already got someone in to cover me from sept! Is nice though as won't have to have a class for the last few weeks, will just cover and take groups.

Evil will you come and do my bathroom? It's a mess as have been cleaning paint brushes etc in there!

Congrats Cousin Apple

Wasn't the babys fault one but now going to have to have a look (but def no posting!)

I shouldn't let things get to me but am a bit fed up with teacher bashing generally, esp as school is bloody stressful atm... breathe, relax, don't look!

Little9 · 08/06/2012 22:09

apple congrats, sorry x post

Evilwater · 08/06/2012 22:15

Lilliana, I'm sorry but no way!

Lilliana · 08/06/2012 22:16

Shame you appear to be so good at it! Grin

Evilwater · 08/06/2012 22:24

I think I've narrowed how I'm going to paint the baby's room. The colour scheme will be blue and green.

As for prams and anything else, I not bought anything. Not till after 24 weeks.

Lilliana · 08/06/2012 22:26

Sorry Little x posts. My DH was worried about hurting bump so I'm having to seduce him. Not seen him all week though and bump is growing so worried I might shock him tomorrow!
I've given in a bought some mat clothes - trousers and a 'bump band' feel so much better in them.
Glad your car is better

Chunkychicken · 08/06/2012 22:29

Got the massive horn Shanelle with my DD but this time, the exact opposite. In fact DH has been a bit of a sex pest & I'm pushing him away. Although it is very nice when we do... :)

Won't get my MAT B1 in time then, as I don't have another MW appt til mid-July and my scan date is still to come through as the MW only booked it yesterday (& apparently they only do it between 21-23wks round here). So everyone that's having a scan in the next month, good luck, I'm very jealous :)

horseylady · 08/06/2012 22:55

I'm like chunkychicken!!! No desire at all. Shame really. Poor dh. Will try over the weekend!! Congrats to your aunt apple :)
